Hi lightsites!
I’m not sure what you mean but any settings you have in the theme options will be safe, but any modifications you have made to the core theme files will be overwritten on an update. I would strongly suggest that you move all your customisations to a child theme and make sure it’s working before updating: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/portfolio-item/create-a-child-theme/

P.S you can also add it to a code element if you only need the styling on one page, this will of course not be overwritten on updates either. Place your code in a

I’m not sure why Kriesi has designed like he has but like you say, it seems to be ok for most people. Personally I like when things are not too generic, if everyone else is doing something doesn’t automatically mean that we have to do it too :)

Usually when things disappear under a certain element it’s because of unclosed html markup, did you add any markup at all? Please let us know if we can help you out further.

No they won’t be full width since the footer content is located inside of a container so you would have to edit your footer.php file to make it full width, are you comfortable doing that?

First off you need to edit functions.php located in your child theme folder: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/. Copy the code to functions.php and upload it, then you should be able to see the shortcode under the Advanced Layer Builder. You can then do the same to the site you want to copy it to and then paste the shortcode in the new site. If you are using a color section then you can edit it and fill it in under For Developers: Section ID. If you’re not using a color section then please link to the site and the section you would like to hide and we’ll provide you with the CSS to do so.

Could you try to deactivate you active plugins to see if one of them is causing a conflict? It that doesn’t work, then please try to overwrite your theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/. Make sure to back up your installation before doing this.

Did you make any adjustments to your functions.php? It seems like this is a WooCommerce issue so you might want to consider asking the question on a WooCommerce forum also.
