Try to disable all plugins to see if there is a conflict somewhere.

I’m not sure exactly what you are trying to edit but using this CSS should work for targeting the first item in your sub menu:

Anyway, you have an error in your markup on that page:

```
I’ve changed it to:
```
Serving all of <strong>Central Alberta</strong>
```
If you should experience anything like this in the future it should be the first thing to check as open html markup breaks the editor.

Hi,

You have two caching plugins active there, did you clear the cache from them both? When trying to find errors it’s a good idea to keep plugins like that inactive. Are we allowed to deactivate plugin in order to find the problem?

The slider on your front page is loading fine on my end, did you make sure to clear your browser cache and reload a few times? You could try a different browser and/or machine as well.
