Could you try closing all markup properly or simply remove it to see if that helps please?

If you think that there is something wrong with the widget, then maybe you could try to use the add code somewhere else to see if it works there? You could also add it to your header.php file to see if it work better if you add it directly to the template file.

Thanks for the feedback. The font file were missing in your uploads folder, I think it doesn’t have the correct permissions to be able to import the demo. I uploaded them manually and now everything is working as it should, please review your site.

It’s you instagram shortcode which is causing the overlapping, there’s no problem with the sidebars. Try this in Quick CSS to keep it not running over the sidebar:

  width:100% !important;
  max-width:100% !important;
}

If you have a child theme then it means that you override the parent file with the same name with the child file. If you don’t have anything to override, then you don’t need that file either. That is most likely why you don’t see a footer.php in you child theme? If you want to override the parent file then make a copy of the file in question and upload it to your child theme folder, you will be able to see it after that.

You should be able to use this if you want to register more than one widget in the header, just make sure the name of the sidebar is the same as what has been registered:

add_action( 'ava_after_main_menu', 'enfold_customization_header_widget_area' );
function enfold_customization_header_widget_area() {
	dynamic_sidebar( 'header1' );
        dynamic_sidebar( 'header2' );
}

I’m not sure what the problem is with your test site to be honest, but I’m pretty sure it not related to the theme. If you are having that much problems, then yes, it might be a good idea to replace the whole thing with the live version?
