in reply to: Select only certain blog categories #1423837

Thank you, Nikko. I am already using the advanced layout editor for the blog page (Mary’s Blog) and have selected the blog categories that should appear on that page. However, all the categories are appearing, which is why I reached out to you for help.

I added the code you provided to the Quick CSS box and it didn’t do anything. You did say to add the code to the bottom of my child theme’s functions.php code, but to be honest…I haven’t done anything like that in years and am not entirely sure where to find that file. I’m guessing it isn’t accessible through the WP Dashboard but instead I would need to login to my webhost and find that file in the HTTP directory? Is that correct?

Obviously, I’d prefer it if I could resolve the issue through some other means (like, why is the advanced layout editor including categories that I didn’t select?) but if adding the code that you’ve generously provided is the best way, could you please confirm where I find the file that needs the code added?

    Thank you,

in reply to: How to get Enfold theme license outside of Envato? #1416422

Thanks. Many years ago I used to purchase all the items for clients but much prefer not to be in the middle of that. Oh well…we’ll see if she can work it out with Envato. If not, that’s the route we will take. I love the Enfold theme and can work in it quickly.

    Thanks, Mike.

The hamburger menu is working now on my phone. Maybe it just needed time? Thank you so much for having my back, Mike!! You can close out this ticket.

Thank you for your continued support. It means so much to me and is one of the reasons I continue to use the Enfold theme with so many of my clients.

On my phone (iPhone) I’ve cleared my cache and deleted my browsing history, however the problem with the hamburger menu persists.

Thank you for your response. I disabled the Siteground Optimizer Plugin completely but the problem persists. I contacted the site host and they told me to deactivate all the plugins one by one to see if there are any conflicts, so I did that to no avail. The problem continues to persist.

in reply to: Sidebar Menu position and content #1317745

Wow, thanks for letting me know about the Envato Market Plugin. That’s a great tool.

The theme is updated now but the mysterious sidebar menu is still showing at the top of the sidebar. Do you have any other suggestions? Obviously, I need to know where that menu resides so it can be edited.

in reply to: Sidebar Menu position and content #1317536

Thank you, Rikard. I have tried updating the theme but am unsuccessful. The Theme Options show I am running the latest version 4.7.6.4. I have gone to Themeforest to download the latest file and uploaded that enfold.zip file to the server via the File Manager. There is no change. The Theme Options and Appearance > Themes still show 4.7.6.4.

Where can I get the latest version, if not from Themeforest? Why does my Theme Options panel not detect that I need a theme update?

Thank you for your help. Hopefully we can resolve this soon as my client nears her RFP deadline.

Thank you for explaining that the full width element doesn’t work with the sidebars. I’ve removed the full width element and all is well.

    1) However, I still don’t understand what’s going on with the Sidebar Pages widget. There is a menu that appears in the sidebars of the pages specified in my initial request for support, and I don’t know where it is located nor how to edit it. When I look at the widget area (where it used to be before the updates), there is nothing there. I created a menu and added it along with the contact info, but now duplicate menus are appearing. I know I remove the widget menu I just created but the point is that I need to be able to EDIT the menu that appears and I don’t know where that first one is coming from nor how to find it to edit it.

    2) Also, using the new widget block editing, I don’t have the same control over padding. The gap is too large under “We’re Here for You” and I can’t figure out how to reduce it.

    3) One other thing, is there no longer the capability to create a custom widget?

I appreciate your patience and support. Please help.

This issue has been resolved. The plugin we were using for the Maps also needed the updated Google API key. Once I popped that in, everything worked. Thank you for your support.

Yes, we saw that it was verified this morning. I think Facebook just took a while to recognize it. Thanks for being there for me anyway!

You can’t see the actual content below the search bar because the map doesn’t show. It either presents as a blank white area or it shows the error message I’ve pasted in previous replies. Here is another screen capture of the error message: https://www.screencast.com/t/uWoS2JgZ

Here is the screen capture of the Enfold theme options where the Google API key has finally been accepted: https://www.screencast.com/t/rRnIvmfw2

Here is the screen capture of the Mindful KC Zones page where the map should display: https://www.screencast.com/t/XckQp4as7Ey

We are using the Simple Business Directory on that page.

Thank you for your continued support with this.

in reply to: Google Maps error message #1301250

Hi, Rikard. Today the API Key was accepted. I honestly don’t know what made the difference. You can see the accepted message in the private content area.

However, I’m still getting the error message “Oops! Something went wrong. This page didn’t load Google Maps correctly. See the JavaScript console for technical details.”

in reply to: Google Maps error message #1300410

Well, I do have billing set up on the Google account. That’s how I was able to get the API key to work before. The billing info hasn’t changed. You can see in the private content area the proof that the billing is set up.

What seems to have changed is that Google wants me to upgrade and pay for their Cloud Platform, which I don’t want to use. That is the only thing that’s changed from a week ago when everything worked till now. I’m at a loss…I don’t know what to do.

I really appreciate your support. I love using Enfold because I know you guys always have my back. I don’t know what to do and I need the map to work because it’s a key feature of the site.

in reply to: Google Map stopped working #1299748

I do not see a screenshot in the private content. I don’t know what API key you’re using. I tried to reset the API Key today and still am getting an error message. I’m including the new API Key I generated today in the private area.

in reply to: Google Map stopped working #1299493

I am having the same problem. Google Maps was working fine and suddenly stopped. Everything has been updated (theme, plugins); the API key was generated under the relatively new updates per Google, and my billing info is up-to-date. I keep getting the “Could not connect to Google Maps with this API Key.” error message. I tried regenerating the key, etc. Nothing is solving the issue. We have an important meeting tonight and need to show the maps use on our website. Yikes!

Thank you so much for clarifying, Rikard! That’s great news.

I love Enfold and the customer support you provide!!

Thank you for editing the form and changing the field title. My client likes the change and would prefer it uses the format “MM/DD/YYYY” so he can also capture the age for the demographic understanding of his audience. However, he wants the YYYY to be optional so it won’t result in an error if they choose not to give their birth year.

    Is this possible?

Thank you, Yigit! I’ve made the changes to 1 and 3.

For 1, The error message is still in the hard-to-read red.

In 2, the error message appears to be triggered from the wrong format for the birthdate…but we aren’t sure what the correct format is, and how would our subscribers know?

I’ve created new credentials for you, pasted in the Private Content area.
