I’m using RankMath plugin for SEO on my client’s website. When using the Advanced Editor, it’s very difficult to get a good ranking. I had the same experience when using Yoast previously. I have the keywords, headings, alt tags, internal links, etc…all the stuff, but the plugin isn’t able to identify these items on pages where I use the Advanced Editor for layout.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to help the plugin “see” the content more accurately?

More importantly, how do I know that if the plugin can’t accurately read the page that Google also won’t be able to read the page?

Any suggestions you have are appreciated.

    Hi phausner,

SEO plugins can’t read the content in the Layout Builder, because it’s all in shortcode on the backend. On the front end, it’s all available for indexing though, so it won’t affect your actual SEO results.
