Hey Chris,
Can you give us the whole code you’ve added for the menu? so we can exclude it when using web inspector and try to give you some CSS code that should help.
Best regards,
NikkoHi Dzammit,
Since there’s a Layerslider on top of your blogposts, the sidebar show up (but this is most likely the case when using ALB), I would suggest using a 2/3 column and put the blogposts inside it, then add a 1/3 column and add a widget area.
Hope this helps.Best regards,
NikkoHi AFDCO,
Thanks for giving us admin access.
I think the main cause of the issue is this CSS code:.main_color div { background-color: rgba(0, 72, 142, 0) !important; }Please try to remove that code, also can you give us a screenshot of how that datepicker should look like?
Best regards,
NikkoHi Ola,
Can you try to do the following:
Login to ThemeForest and download the Enfold theme.
1. Right-click over the downloaded zip file and extract/unzip it.
2. It should generate a new folder, open it and look for the enfold folder
3. Right-click the enfold folder then zip it, here’s a tutorial on how to create a zip file in windows: https://www.howtogeek.com/668409/how-to-zip-and-unzip-files-on-windows-10/ (this should create enfold.zip
4. Log in to WordPress as and Admin.
5. Install and activate a maintenance plugin and put your site in Maintenance mode.
6. Go to Appearance > Themes, switch to a default WordPress theme like TwentyTwenty then delete Enfold.
7. Click on the ADD NEW button.
8. Click on the UPLOAD THEME button.
9. Click BROWSE and choose enfold.zip file
10. Click the INSTALL NOW button and switch to Enfold or your child theme.
11. Remove the maintenance mode then deactivate and remove the maintenance plugin.
Best regards,
NikkoHi Erwin,
Please try adding this CSS code (this code is page specific):
.page-id-1508 #after_layer_slider_1 .av_one_fourth { padding-bottom: 60px !important; }Best regards,
NikkoHi hcpost,
Yes, that what I meant, thanks.
The advanced layout editor is not showing on my dashboard.
I have checked the pages and Advanced Layout Editor is working properly and there’s no unending loading of the spinning wheel. Maybe you are referring on other elements?
Perhaps you’re looking for Advanced Styling? it’s located in Enfold Child > Advanced Styling.
If it’s not then if you can provide a screenshot of the issue then we should be able to check on it further. In fact, when I click on appearances, the only four things listed are “Themes”, “Customize”, “Widgets” and “Menues”.
This is correct, the usual is either it’s these four are showing and the fifth one that usually appears but depends on the settings in the Theme Editor. My site should be fully updated. I have the exact same logins as my wife, we both run the Enfold theme, she has access to the advanced layout editor, but as mentioned, I don’t.
Could you help me solve the issue, as I want to add some CSS so I can customize the buttons on my site …
I do see in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS some css codes for the button but I do see it working properly.Best regards,
NikkoHi dhuet,
You’re welcome :)
Just let us know if you need further assistance.Best regards,
NikkoNovember 4, 2020 at 3:18 pm in reply to: How to properly integrate Advanced Custom Fields plugin in Enfold #1258292Hi Karin,
I think you can refer to Yigit’s answer above regarding the ACF tutorial.
As for the other one, our documentation already contains a vast information on using the theme, making tweaks and detailed information on Advanced Layout Builder’s elements.Best regards,
NikkoHi Bob,
I’m not really sure how we can help but maybe these solutions posted in these threads can help:
1. Adding favicon.ico in the root directory, so in your case after you have done it, you should change the href value of this:<link rel="shortcut icon" href="/wp-content/uploads/fbrfg/favicon.ico?v=Gv6A7B4P8W">according to the solution here: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/favicon-for-media-files/#post-937434
2. According to this forum: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/favicon-not-rendering-in-google-search/ they didn’t rename and still a png file but should be in increments of 48px and it just took google a week to index their site.
I hope one of the two works.Best regards,
NikkoNovember 4, 2020 at 2:42 pm in reply to: The text preview field has disappeared from the posts #1258282Hi Pascal,
Here’s are the steps (and corresponding screenshots in private content):
Step 1: Click ‘Ansicht anpassen’ (Screen Options) located on the upper right of the screen.
Step 2: Check ‘Textauszug’ (Excerpt)
Step 3: Go to the bottom of the page and see the excerpt.Best regards,
NikkoHi hcpost,
Thanks, please give us the login link as well :)
Best regards,
NikkoHi dhuet,
I have tried to download icons from flaticon: https://www.flaticon.com/packs/social-media-86?k=1604482422498
And it seems to have it has all the four I mentioned except eot.
If it only has svg files then I would suggest you to convert the icon from svg to ttf/woff/woff2, there are many online font converters which you should be able to find quickly.Best regards,
NikkoHi Mark,
Thanks, it seems clear as well. Can you try to add this code in wp-config.php:
define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false );By default the js and css files in the backend are concatenated, setting this to false might help.
Best regards,
NikkoHi Hans Chr.,
Can you please post the admin credentials in private content? if you have already posted it in other thread, can you give us the link to that thread?
Best regards,
NikkoNovember 3, 2020 at 6:09 pm in reply to: The text preview field has disappeared from the posts #1258082Hi Pascal,
Thank you so much for the detailed instruction :)
I see you were referring to the excerpt, in the upper right of the screen you should see ‘Ansicht anpassen’ (Screen Options), click it then check ‘Textauszug’ (Excerpt) and it should show again.
I have already done it on your site but in case it will be unchecked again, you’ll just need to do these steps.Best regards,
NikkoHi forgottensky,
Thanks for giving us SFTP access.
I have checked for error_logs on your site and could not find one, I also tried to enable WP Debugging and logging it however it does not produce any.
Phpinfo shows that display_errors are turned off on your site, can you try to turn it on?Best regards,
NikkoHi AuroraArcus,
We’re happy to hear that :)
Thanks again for using Enfold and have a great day!Best regards,
NikkoNovember 3, 2020 at 5:41 pm in reply to: website fonts and colors change after importing parent theme settings #1258069Hi Emese,
It’s fixed, I have copied and pasted (line 69-71) of my loop-index.php (which actually is the same) and it seems to fix it :)
Let us know if you need further assistance.Best regards,
NikkoHi Mark,
I have checked it in both Chrome and Firefox in Windows 10 machine.
Screenshot in private content.
Can you go to the page shown in your screenshot again then right-click then click Inspect and click on the Console tab and try to check if there are any error messages (red colored text).Best regards,
NikkoHi Bob,
Thanks for your kind words and I do hope it resolves the issue.
As for your question, actually, there’s no real standard so it’s a bit hard to weigh it though I think it should not be redundant.
The other sizes seem to be just to be backward compatible (or at least what those older devices need).
Here’s something that might be helpful: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/2997437/what-size-should-apple-touch-icon-png-be-for-ipad-and-iphoneBest regards,
NikkoHi AuroraArcus,
Yes, I do see it now and it was a great video btw (I just didn’t understand the language) :)
Best regards,
NikkoHi Erdrol,
I’m not sure I understood your statement, can you clarify for us? so we can help better. :)
Best regards,
NikkoHi rasa,
We’re glad that we could help :)
Thanks for using Enfold and have a great day!Best regards,
NikkoHi rasa,
I have posted in private content the codes used for the two scripts.
I’m not really sure though if the code works or know the errors it has.
Hope it helps.Best regards,
NikkoHi dhuet,
Thanks for giving us admin access.
I checked for zip files on your Media Library and noticed that all those zip files only contains svg files.
For comparison you can go to https://fontello.com/ select some icons and download theme, unzip/extract the zip file and open the generated folder and open the fonts folder, you should see the .eot, .svg, .ttf, .woff, .woff2 which is needed.Best regards,
NikkoHi bulewold,
We’re happy that we could help :)
Thanks for using Enfold and have a great day!Best regards,
NikkoHi mbesh,
Thanks for giving us admin access as well as the link in which we must inspect on.
The reason it’s not changing color is because of this attribute:color='theme-color'it needs to use custom, it should be like this:
color='custom'I have changed it on the first button.
Let us now if you need further assistance.Best regards,
NikkoHi Mark,
Thanks for giving us admin access.
Is this happening for all pages or maybe all pages that uses ALB builder?
I have checked this on few browsers and tried to check the homepage and other randomly selected pages and I don’t see any issue at all.
The web console is also clear and no js error. Can you try to use chrome and check it in incognito mode?Best regards,
NikkoNovember 3, 2020 at 6:54 am in reply to: The text preview field has disappeared from the posts #1257876Hi Pascal,
Thanks for giving us admin access.
I tried to follow but I think this text preview field you mentioned needs to be clarified, to avoid misunderstanding.
Is this in the backend or front or is it the blog excerpt/summary for each post? if it’s in the front you can try to check in https://web.archive.org/ which may have a snapshot showing it.
If it’s in the backend, then maybe give us a screenshot then point where it was located before, so we can try to reproduce on our endsBest regards,
NikkoHi Bob,
Thanks for giving us admin access.
When I checked on your site there were two opening < head > tags and two closing < /head > tags, which I think is potentially causing the issue. (other favicons are out of the head tag as a result)
It seems it’s been added in Settings > Insert Headers and Footers > Scripts in Header, please remove the opening and closing head tag, then flush out the cache from the WP-Rocket.Best regards,
Nikko -
