Hi northernpacific,

Are you using a child theme? if yes, there are some changes in header.php and footer.php and if you have overridden at least one of these files then you will need to re-update them.

Hi Alex,

I tried to check on the staging site however it keeps going to the login page even when logged in to the live site and go to WP Staging > Staging Sites, then open up staging.
Can you give us credentials on the staging site as well?

Hi Martin,

Thanks for contacting us!
cPanel is not required to install/configure the Enfold theme, however, if you are setting up WordPress then it will be needed because you’ll need to create a database.
Most hosting providers now allow their customers to create a one-click install for making a WordPress site, once WordPress is setup, you can install and activate Enfold via the WordPress Dashboard > Themes.

Hi Kim,

Thanks for setting up a staging site for us.
I can’t seem to see the large gaps.
If the gaps appear, please try to disable CSS file merging and compression and Javascript file merging and compression in Enfold > Performance.
Then also try to clear the browser cache.

Can you try to re-update it again?
If it still fails, try to manually replace the enfold theme in the themes folder.

Hi MacKenzie,

The logo that is used is a bit blurry (link in private content).
I suggest you use image editing software (like photoshop) to crop the logo around 300px in width since it uses better image compression.
Also, the original size of the logo maybe clear however when the browser shrinks it, it will also be a bit blurry.

Hey Luisa,

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
3. Click ” Create New “.
4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
  ( to be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
5. Click ” Submit “.
6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

Please backup your site first then update it to the latest version (4.8.6.5), the current version on your site is 4.6.2.
The problem should be fixed once both Enfold and WordPress is updated.

I have tried to look further into the issue and tested it as well on my local server which is similar to your settings except your site uses nginx while mine uses apache.

Hi Opencardenvato,

We apologize for the delayed response.
You’ll need to re-add the modifications made on the header and footer.php after you have updated it’s content based on the parent theme.
Can you give us a copy of the child theme before it was updated? can you upload it in the wp-content’s folder?

Thanks and yes we will only use it for the purpose you mentioned.
I tried it as well and have similar results as you have mentioned, the popup says it’s successful but no additional layout template showing up (the web console also don’t show any errors).
Can you try to downgrade the Enfold version of the staging site? so they have the same versions.

Hi Sara,

The reason why it’s not working on your site is that PHP ZipArchive Extension is not enabled.
You can verify it in LayerSlider WP > Options > System Status (or go to the link in private content)
You can check this article on how to enable it: https://bobcares.com/blog/enable-php-zip-extension-cpanel/
Or you can request assistance from your hosting provider.
