Hi Ismael,
Thanks for the reply. I’m honestly a bit confused myself. This haas been set up the same way since my purchase in August. Then I got an error in December and then several in January. I wasn’t sure if it was something in the theme updates but didn’t see anything in the change logs. We are receiving mail as normal, all contact forms are working properly I just randomly get these errors. Since, the error pointed to Enfold, I figured I’d ask all of you.
I’m not overly concerned since everything is working, I was just hoping someone had seen this or knew what to do.
Thanks Again.
-SozMy apologies, I could view the images, so I thought you could as well.
This plugin has been installed from the beginning and I only recently started having issues. There’s been no changes to the site, other than regular maintenance and updates.
Just for a point of reference, I use both Rank Math and Rank Math Pro on multiple Enfold sites without issue, with one of those sites being a Multisite. I would say neither the plug-in or the theme itself is the issue but something site specific that’s causing you trouble.
Hello,
I’m just a regular participant like you, but your help request caught my eye. I visited your site on a phone, tablet, and desktop and couldn’t help but notice your mobile menu only activates on the smallest of screen sizes, which means when you view it on a tablet or turn your phone in landscape mode, your menus and logos do overlap.
To help fix this, you might consider changing the following.
From the enfold menu, Enfold>Main Menu
Under the option “Menu For For Mobile”, change the drop down menu to “SmartPhones & Tablets below 990px”The option below that asks about Screen Mode in Landscape Mode, set that to “use current screen width”
To move the logo to the furthest point left,
Also, Enfold> Header
Under the tab that says Header Behavior, at the bottom is a button option that says “Let Logo & Menu Change to Fit Browser window” turn that ONMaking those changes should fix your issue.
Amazing, as always! Thank you so much!!
If someone happens upon this solution in the future and you happen to use an H1 tag, simply replace the “p” in the solution for h1 and it will work perfectly.
Thank you again for all your help!
Hi There!
Yes, you can edit a normal page and create your own custom/personalized 404 Page. Be sure to name the page you create “404” or “404 Error” or something similar, so that it displays properly in the address bar and tab.
If so, then how can I make it show in case it is needed? From which place ?
From the Enfold menu> Theme Options
Near the bottom of the page is a “Custom 404 Error Page” option. From the drop-down menu select “redirect to select page”
That will open another option and in that drop-down, you can select the custom 404 error page you just created.Save your changes and you’re all set.
Hope that helps.
Ismael, You’re fantastic!
Thanks so much for all your help, I really appreciate it. I had to make a small adjustment but you got me where I needed to be.
As far as the text sizes for the different devices how do we handle that? I tried using the @media only screen and (max-width: ) for the various sizes but didn’t have any luck.
I look forward to hearing your solution.
Thanks for the help!!
I’m sorry I wasn’t any help to you. I’m just a regular participant like you, so I’m limited in what I can do here.
I’m assuming you loaded a demo in which to build from, if you don’t see a prebuilt page, then your demo may not include one. Demos built after 2017, include them, older versions do not.
Even if your demo did include one, you’d have to completely edit it to fit your needs, as it’s filled with example text. See the example, I shared earlier.
If you’re still not understanding what maintenance mode is and how it works, maybe someone else can offer a better description. You’re also welcome to use a plug-in, they will accomplish the same thing. But learning what it is and how it works, will help you understand the GTMetrix error message. I apologize that I wasn’t able to explain clearly enough how maintenance mode works and why GTMETRIX will always give you an error.
Maintenance mode is essentially like taking your site offline, it makes it unavailable to everyone but you. When you set up maintenance mode, you redirect visitors to a maintenance mode page or any other page you’d like. Bots and other services, like GTmetrix can’t read, so the server tells them the site is temporary unavailable. As the admin, you can see the site as normal, visitors will see your maintenance page, and any bots and services will be told by the server your temporary unavailable.
As for the difference in the two options, perhaps someone else can jump in here and offer a better answer.
I don’t want to confuse you with server settings or give you a wrong answer, so I’ll let someone else explain the rest to you.
Sorry, I wasn’t more of a help.
Alwin,
I apologize if my explanation wasn’t clear. Please read the information below.
This link is to the documentation about maintenance mode and other pages that come built into the Enfold theme.
And here is an example of what that might look like using a prebuilt page in your theme.
The idea behind a “Maintenance Mode” or “Construction” page, “Coming Soon” page is to let your visitors know that the site is being worked on. A coming soon or construction page lets your visitors know that you’re still building the site and it will be ready very soon. It allows you to make changes to the website without the visitors seeing a bunch of weird stuff happening.
As the admin for the site, you’re still going to be able to view the website normally, but all other traffic to your website will only see the maintenance mode page you’ve selected. Referring back to my earlier example, the maintenance page is like a locked door, it keeps everyone outside while you’re inside building the site or making changes.
As for the GTMetrix, when it reaches your maintenance page, it can’t go any further so it give you the error message you encountered, which simply means it reached the locked door/maintenance mode of your website. Once, the page is taken down and the site returns to normal, it will be able to visit your site as it normally would.
Hopefully, that helps. Please read the documentation and if you need further explanation of a maintenance mode is and how it works, there are some great youtube videos that you may want to look at too.
The two options allow you to either use the prebuilt maintenance mode page or create your own maintenance mode page and use it.
So option 1: use the selected (default) enfold prebuilt “maintenance mode” page
Or Option 2: use the custom “maintenance mode” page (if you created one) and redirect traffic to that page while in maintenance mode.
In maintenance mode, your website it blocked, so visitors will either see whatever maintenance mode page you’ve selected. That could be the default enfold page or a custom maintenance page you’ve created. Technically, you can direct them to any page you like, but they won’t be able to navigate away from the page while in maintenance mode, which is why people generally use a splash/landing “mainstream mode” page.
As for the GTmetrix error. To put it very simply, Think of maintenance mode as a locked door to a building. GTmetrix error simple says I went to the building but the door was locked, so I couldn’t get to what’s inside.
As soon as you turn off maintenance mode, the door will be unlocked and GTmetrix will be able to do its thing like it normally would.
Hope that helps!
It works!! Thanks Nikko, I really appreciate that. It looks good, I just need to tighten up the spacing a little bit, but I’ll work on that later, it’s late.
Thanks again!
YOU BROKE THE SITE!!! Ha ha! It’s all good, I’m glad I was still awake (it’s in the middle of the night here) though, so I could fix it quickly.
Thank for trying to fix it, even though you broke it! LOL, I’m just messing with you. I do appreciate you trying to help. I’m not sure why the icons still aren’t working properly. My code was copied directly from the documentation and other support tickets and didn’t work. Your code was slightly different and it still doesn’t work.
Maybe a different set of eyes can see something we’re missing?
As for the child theme, I attempted to use one years ago and had a very poor experience with it. I’ve used ones that others have set up when they needed my help and I’ve just never been a fan. They sound good on paper, but in my experience, can often be a giant pain. That was years ago, maybe things changed but I’m not really interested in a child theme. I appreciate the suggestion though.
I simply keep a backup copy of everything that’s changed. I have a backup of the code used, as well as a backup of whatever file was edited. Same with any quick/custom CSS. It’s not a one-click solution, but it works. For example, when you got the fatal error and brought down the site, it took me longer to log in than it did to actually SFTP in and drop in the fix.
Again, thank you for helping. I hope we can find a solution.
Hi Nikko,
I do still need help, I think you missed the other reply. The code you provided still doesn’t work. Can you take another look? Thank you!
Oh my goodness…I’m so dumb! I completely overlooked that. That’s for the front end, not the subdomains. Thank you!!
Hi Nikko,
Thanks again for helping and fixing the code. Unfortunately, it still doesn’t work. I’ve cleared the cache on the server, the browser, even logged in from a different browser and checked on mobile and it’s still not working.Would you mind taking a look again, please?
Thank you! Here are some admin credentials as well.
[moved to private content]
I don’t want to create another thread, so if you wouldn’t mind….Can you please look (SEE PRIVATE DATA)
I’ve deleted and recreated that page several times and the content container is underneath the header, so you can’t see the part of the page at all, but it only happens on mobile. It only happens on this main page.
Originally, it worked fine. Then I wanted to use the colored section but since it’s a woo commerce page, the enfold editor is disabled. So the option (per the documentation) was to add code to enable it, which worked but caused other problems, so I removed it. So I, tried option 2 which was to create a normal page and used the woo grid shortcode to display items and use that as the default shop page. While that worked in part, woo commerce had a fit and it caused issues. So I deleted that page and just set everything back to default. Only, now, the menu overlaps the contents of the page on mobile devices.
Thanks!
Hey Nikko,
Thanks for the code, unfortunately, it didn’t do anything. Let me make sure I’m understanding everything correctly. After I’ve added the code, these icons should appear in the “Social Profiles” tab, of the enfold menu correct? Enable the icons we’ve just added etc, Go to the footer tab, make your selection and the icons should appear on site. They’re not appearing in the Social Profiles tab at all.

I’ve never used these myself, but you might find them useful.

Hi, Rikard,
I completely understand and was mainly interested in any suggestions you might have. In my testing, after posting that, I removed the layer slider completely. On mobile, my page score went from 20 to over 60, and load times went from 6-8 seconds to just under 2 seconds. So that layer slider has some real issues, at least in my implementation. I will be removing it completely soon, once I convince the owner LOL PS. Desktop score after removing the slider was 97
As for the transparency, thank you for the link. When I set the site up initially, the transparency worked out of the box and I didn’t have to add or adjust anything.
I tested your suggestion and it works but I lose my breadcrumbs, which I have set below the title container.
/* Breadcrumbs below page title */ .title_container .breadcrumb { position: relative; left: -2px; top: 5px; }
How do I go about having both once again?

July 29, 2022 at 12:05 am in reply to: Is there a way to transfer hundreds of blogspot posts into WordPress? #1359771Hello Again,
Unfortunately, your post formatting will not transfer over to the new WordPress site. The Title will go where the title goes and the content of the post will go where that’s supposed to go, but there will be no formatting. The word transfer is plain text and any images or videos or other content will be at the end of the post, not inline where you had placed it. It will, unfortunately, be a little messy, but the important thing is the contents will be there and you won’t be forced to copy and paste. This will at least afford you the opportunity to take your time and reformat those posts however you’d like in the new Church theme. I know it’s a painful process, but I think you’ll end up liking the results better.
So YouTube videos: If you already inserted them (embedded) into a post, those will transfer over with everything else to WordPress. As I mentioned, those will be inserted at the end of the post with any images and other embedded or attached content.
If however, you’re looking to bring all of your Youtube content over to a specific page, there are lots of options for you. WordPress has a repository of plugins, which are, essentially, things that enhance your site in various ways be it functionality, design or service. There are many Youtube plugins (paid and free) that allow you to display your videos in many different layouts. This plugin https://www.yotuwp.com/demo/ has both a free and paid version, and the link I shared will give you an idea of the possibilities. The theme itself, allows you to insert a video into a post as well, or you can simply copy and paste the youtube video code as well. You have lots of options.
As for the podcast, I noticed in the link you shared that not all of the posts had audio attached. The player was there but the numbers were zeroed out, which means the attached audio is missing or the link itself is broken. If the audio is there, it will transfer as I mentioned above. If there is no audio file to transfer then there’s nothing to transfer and the post will just word and no audio.
As far as tags, If I remember correctly, they do transfer but require formatting. I believe they are inserted at the end of the post, with the other media and then you’ll need to insert them into WordPress’s tag structure.
Good Luck! Hope that helps a bit. Let us know how it goes.

I hope you don’t mind me jumping in. I haven’t transferred a site from blogger to WordPress in a really long time, but there is definitely an easier way than copy and paste. In your blogger settings, there’s an option to import/export your data. Setttings/Other/BackUp I believe is the path. This will allow you to export your blog post, images, video, and anything else embedded in the posts as well as any comments to WordPress. Keep in mind, that you will lose all your formatting and personal settings. They’re two different platforms, so naturally, the formatting will be different but the content will be the same.
Here is a brief, how-to guide, from WordPress. https://wordpress.com/support/import/coming-from-blogger/
Hope that helps!
