Josue,
php memory limit is set to 256M
max_input_vars is set to 10000I don’t think the issue is there. I believe it is some confliction specific to that page. When I run the Advanced Layer Slider on a fresh page by itself, it works just fine (other than ignoring the max-width I’ve set @ 1030px — dispalys full-width).
I skimmed through CSS and saw nothing targeting my homepage (i.e. with page-id-xxxx) that would have any display:none; or visibility:hidden; properties set.
Any other ideas?
Hi Ismael,
Yes, that is fine as the site is not live. I’ve already done so but still wasn’t working for me.
If you create a new page and ONLY add the Advanced Layer Slider element, it works fine.
But when I try to add the ALS on the homepage (with other content), all that appears is a white section.

Added to my child theme’s functions.php file and it worked!
Thanks for all of your help, Josue!

Thanks,
Cameron
Josue,
Thanks for getting back to me.
While this keeps the header in position, it kills the transparency effect (header background turns white) and the logo shrinks (as it would normally).
As I start to scroll the first section (which lays under the navigation in header transparency mode) turns slowly white (some sort of animation set).

Hey Josue,
I just replaced that file with the same one from a freshly downloaded them. The error stills seems to be displaying.
Any recommendations for how to troubleshoot this issue?
Thanks,
CameronJosue,
So I ended up removing fontawesomeregular (under /avia-fonts/). The 404 js errors appear to have subsided, but I am still not getting any mobile menu and links (on mobile, at least on my Samsung GS4) are not clickable.
Any other thoughts to combat these issues,as they are severely affecting the performance of the site?
Thanks,
CameronJosue,
I have not modified these files at all. Would you (or someone on your team) have any idea what would be throwing these errors/how to fix them?
It seems this was a result of the update to 2.6.2 because I was not seeing these before and never had an issue with the mobile menu.
Thanks!
This reply has been marked as private.Hey,
‘header’ is set to ‘yes’ in custom fields.
So I had the older version of Enfold (2.4.5) in my themes folder, but was being unused. As soon as I removed it, all issues were solved.
But back to the main issue – I am not able to get a figure out why posts are not displaying a header (on both posts & pages). I have checked:
- Title Bar Setting (in Edit Page/Post) is set to: Display Title and Breadcrumbs
- Title Bar Setting (in Enfold Theme Options) is set to: Display Title and Breadcrumbs
- header_title_bar (in Custom Fields within Edit Page/Post) is set to: title_bar_breadcrumb
- There is nothing in style.css that would indicate
.title_container
or.breadcrumb
is set todisplay:none;
Is there anywhere else where this could be turned off or set to
display:none
?Thanks!
Hey Peter,
I have already done this a few times. I actually directly download the newest version of the theme directly onto the server, and place it in my …/themes/ folder. Now I’ve changed the name of the parent theme to “thinkgate”. Other than in the parent theme’s style.css, the child theme’s style.css, and the actual parent folder theme name, is there anywhere else to change the parent theme’s name?
From past installs, this is what I have done (with themes other than Enfold) and it has always worked fine. I have a feeling this is causing the conflict.
Thanks!
Hi Ismael,
I am not seeing that option. This is what I see when I go to enfoldchild > Header: http://s16.postimg.org/fkqd9e4d1/headersection.jpg. You can see here that my child theme is connected to the parent theme ‘thinkgate’: http://s16.postimg.org/8k6yucryt/childthemeappearance.jpg
I am thinking it may have something to do with how I have my child and parent theme set up. My parent theme, renamed to ‘thinkgate’ is version 2.6.2 (see here: http://s16.postimg.org/vkdm6opsl/parentthemeappearance.jpg). I changed also changed the theme name folder to ‘thinkgate’ in the /wp-content/ folder as well as in the parent theme’s style.css (see here: http://s16.postimg.org/fw7tm5kt1/parentstylecss.jpg).
Do you see any other reason why I am not seeing these new features of 2.6.2? My child theme’s style.css seems to be set up correctly (see here: http://s8.postimg.org/mqf36d92t/childsgtylecss.jpg).
Thanks for your help!

Hey Yigit,
The issue is that the site is on a dev server is on a VPN, so as of right now, so no one can access it.
Is there a code from a specific file that I could provide that may help?
I know that any page/post where I choose to “Display Header”, it no longer appears. I haven’t found any CSS that would indicate this is turned off (display:none; or something along those lines).
This happened after I upgraded to 2.6.2
March 13, 2014 at 5:18 pm in reply to: Advanced layout editor to build your own blog layout? #237046Had the same issue. This is how I fixed it:
In Enfold Theme options set “Where do you want to display your blog” to nothing.
Then go to Appearance > Themes > Customize (when you hover over theme) and then set Blog to nothing as well.
Create your Blog/News page, add whatever elements you want in the Advanced Layout Editor (be sure to include the Blog Posts element and configure from within).

March 13, 2014 at 4:11 pm in reply to: *URGENT* 2.6.1 update broke back end, nothing from child theme is being applied #237001Devin,
Thank you for your continued assistance!
I renamed the plugins folder on the server and still the white screen. I removed my child themes files one at a time (header.php, footer.php, functions.php) still with no luck.
This leads me to believe it is a theme conflict with WordPress (version 3.8.1). When I revert back to the last version of Enfold I was using, 2.4.5, everything works fine.
I’ve run out of ideas and feel like my only option now is to revert back to 2.4.5. The site will be pushed live in a week, and would much rather deal with this issue before launch.
If you or your team could provide any other thoughts, I would greatly appreciate it. I am still researching for another solutions.
Thanks!

Wow, hate when that happens. My coding client almost always picks that up, but didn’t for some reason this time. Thanks so much.
However, this does not explain why I am not able to access the backend still (…/wp-admin/) and change theme settings (header is still not working 100%.
Any thoughts?
Thanks again Devin!

Sorry, I’m trying to grasp this concept before I dive in and try it (although at this point, anything would be better).
March 11, 2014 at 8:05 pm in reply to: custom.css wiped out, Child theme style.css not applying styles #235816Well I haven’t updated to version 2.6 yet, still on version 2.4.5. So thinking this should not have changed anything on my end.
Either way, I am awaiting the 2.6.1 fix/update.

March 11, 2014 at 5:36 pm in reply to: custom.css wiped out, Child theme style.css not applying styles #235691Appears it is not loading style.css. But the theme has been loading the custom.css from the parent theme this whole time, and all of a sudden it is not working. Still on theme version 2.4.5. Wanted to figure this issue out before I upgraded to 2.6.1
Error Console:
March 11, 2014 at 5:25 pm in reply to: custom.css wiped out, Child theme style.css not applying styles #235681So I ended up adding the space back into the enfold child folder, and my widget’s all came back.
What I will try to do is copy all of that content, remove the space in the enfoldchild folder name (again), and copy the widget content back in.
Do you have any idea why changing the enfoldchild folder name would change the settings within WordPress?
Am I missing an area (either in the WordPress Dashboard or the database) where I need to update the enfoldchild name, without the space?
