As a reminder, as a reference – would like the larger buttons and accompanying mouse overs to be reduced to pretty much the size of the small boxed icons. that would make this whole thing like 1.5 inches wide instead of 5 which I much prefer.
Yigit – thanks for that definately going in the right direction…but the buttons are still too big…the boxes around the icons are sized…but I also wanted to move them closer together and not have such a big and heavy button presence to what if not of very high importance to the site.

Vertical spacing is the same whether its 3 or 4 columns…I have tried both and in the original example as posted footers are set to 3 columns as seen in the example below (and that I posted earlier)

i was able to remove sidebar from a topic by setting archives to not have sidebars in theme setup…but i can not hide the header or footer which I do need to do in some instances
Perhaps this can help…there are a bunch of WP folders here – which folder is (and should be) the live folder that is executing site php?
it looks like i need to edit forum.php or page.php
with this code…

if ($disableSidebar !== ‘true’) { get_sidebar(); }where i set a variable when I save the page to disableSidebar = true or false
i did not see why loop-page.php would be preferrable? I want to implement these changes in the appropriate files but am not sure what to make of the loop-####.php files when I am trying to suppress in certain siutations the header or the footer or the sidebar

is there some one can look at this from enfold soon…I have to be able to show something working by tomorrow and I am totally lost as everything seems to be fine…I am running most recent version of enfold, and bbpress

I do not want any CSS, JavaScript, interface elements on it. However, I do want the content for this page to be stored in the word press database
I will update to the most recent enfold tomorrow as soon as I can. right now the version is not 2.9.2 though i did deactivate all the plugins and tested and also reactivated them and test – both did not work

Yes but the problem is that the side bar when I show one shows all the categories and I would like it to match what is in the blog so that I don;t share posts between the news and blog sections?
