Hi,
WP Rocket are still looking at this issue.
In the meantime, it seems that it is connected to the search icon in the menu. There is no jumping when the search is disabled in Enfold.
Perhaps someone here can look at this from the Enfold perspective?
Thank you and kind regards
MichaelHi
thanks for pointing me in the right direction. It is apparently my cache plugin WP Rocket that is the cause.
Not sure where a solution is to be looked for, maybe Enfold?
I am going to contact WP Rocket support in any case and let you know what they say
Kind Regards
MichaelHi Basilis
thanks for your quick reply. I had used the link button in the text editor, but it does not seem to work
here is the link just like thatReally old. I just checked Google Analytics and noone has used Safari with Windows this year.
Thank you for your effort, RikardHi Rikard, thank you
It is Safari for Windows 5.1.7. I am happy if the fault only appears on my PC,
since I guess Safari is not the browser of choice for most Windows users and Mac appears to be ok.
Regards
MichaelExcellent, just what the doctor ordered
thank you for your quick helpApril 19, 2016 at 11:41 am in reply to: Easy slider slide advance stops when you use control and auto resume after hover #617299Excellent!
Thank you very much.Michael
PS I have just noticed that clicking on a bullet to go directly to a slide still stops the slideshow.
So I in the section “// public method: goes to a specific image” have changed
this._stopSlideshow();
to
//this._stopSlideshow();
and that solves it. Perhaps someone else also finds this useful.April 17, 2016 at 12:18 pm in reply to: Easy slider slide advance stops when you use control and auto resume after hover #615779Hi
Great thank you, that does the trick.
While I agree most visitors probably won’t notice, I think this is a more elegant solution,
if the slider resumes after the visitor does not interact with it anymore.
One small gripe though (sorry). I have set the interval to 3 seconds.
After the slider resumes the interval is much quicker, next image appears pretty much immediately.
Perhaps you also have an idea about this? Thanks
MichaelApril 14, 2016 at 11:49 am in reply to: Easy slider slide advance stops when you use control and auto resume after hover #613713Hi,
I have the latest Enfold, but want to wait a couple of days with updating to WordPress 4.5.
With Enfold v3.5.2 the issue persists, after clicking on the slider the slider does not resume.
Here is my site: http://hi-flyfoto.de/Thanks

I am also interested in a solution of this issue.
Is there any progress on this?
Thanks
MichaelHi
Yes, I had hoped for a workaround, perhaps along the lines of what Günter had written.
So if there is no way of implementing this, I’d like to enter it as a feature request.
Thanks
MichaelHi
What I am looking for is something like this:Just not for the full screen slider, but the full width of the box.
Following Günters suggestion I got the slider “into” the color section (at least in the edit page)
However the font size of the headers turns to huge and there is no parallax effect (perhaps I am missing something
about how to switch the effect on)
Thanks
MichaelHi
Actually I use the cache plugin only recently. Clearing the cache and also deactivating
all plugins has no effect.
I am a bit confused about how to set the slider as the background in the color section for the parallax effect.
It appears to me that only one image or a video can be a background
Thanks
MichaelHi Rikard
Login data coming up.
Actually now I tried this again with a duplicate of the start page, and the previous errors don’t appear.
(It looks like there is something strange going on in the original page)
Now there is just the blank color element above the slider and not the desired parallax effect.
But it looks like we are getting thereThank you
MichaelEDIT No idea why, because I did not change anything, but the duplicate page now has formatted the headers in huge again.
Hi Günter
Thank you for this, unfortunately it does not work for me.
I did not see any parallax effect and the slider is not within the color section in the Avia Layout Architect
(not sure if it supposed to be seen in the section)
The full width slider now show margins right and left in the box.
Unstick Topbar does not work anymore.
Formatting of the headers is gone, now the fonts are huge.
Perhaps I have changed too much CSS for this to work?
Thanks
MichaelHi,
Thanks for your help. For the time being I have deactivated the child theme to return to a
fully functional site. I shall try your procedure when I find the time to do this
Regards
MichaelHi,
thanks, here is the login data, it should workHi Vinay
Ok, I have changed back to Enfold, uninstalled the child theme and reinstalled with the download child.
Then updated style.css with my custom CSS. It all makes no difference. CSS only works if in the quick CSS section.
Only shortcodes.js in the Enfold folder has an effect, not in the child folder.
Have you had a look at my style.css? perhaps there is an error there?I mean, it all works well as it is, but I have read so many recommendations for using a child theme that thought to try it.
Thanks
MichaelHi Yigit,
Thanks for your quick response.
Ok, I did that, but it makes no difference. Only the CSS in quick CSS and the modified shortcode.js in the enfold folder have an effect.
MichaelHi
Interesting information, looks like it is related to the browser.
Chrome and Opera are ok. Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari are not (current versions of the browsers an cache cleared).
However…
I disabled all the plugins (did not think before the error could lie there) and found out that the Photon feature of Jetpack is the culprit.
And looking closely at the images, I find the quality is noticeably worse.
So let’s consider this solved here. I may have to annoy someone else about this (or maybe not).
Thanks for all your effort.
MichaelAbsolutely, I prefer speed too!
It is just a weird thing. Only one image shows the issue, and only when viewed in the slider.Hi Andy,
you do not see a frayed edge like this?
http://i2.wp.com/hi-flyfoto.de/wp-content/uploads/bad_edge.jpg
as compared to this?
http://hi-flyfoto.de/wp-content/uploads/good_edge.jpg
I know this is not a huge difference.
This only appears in the slider, so it would not be seen with a standard theme.
It also does not appear, if you view the image directly

Thanks
MichelHi,
Yes PNG does not show this artifact. The compressed file is 238KB, compared to 175KB JPG.
Especially since it is the first image to be seen, I try to keep the size down,
It is probably more important to have a quick page build-up than to avoid this small error.
Still, I wonder if there is an explanation for this frayed edge, as it is seen only in the slider.
Thanks
MichaelHi Vinay,
this is the edge I mean when viewed in the slider
http://hi-flyfoto.de/wp-content/uploads/bad_edge.jpg
And here is this region of the same image in the media library
http://hi-flyfoto.de/wp-content/uploads/good_edge.jpg
I know this is not a major issue (most visitors probably won’t notice),
but it is strange and a little bit annoying. Thanks
MichaelHi,
the pages are
hi-flyfoto.de
and
hi-flyfoto.de/temp
(my first post was formatted strangely)Michael
Hi Vinay
Thank you for your effort. Since the quick CSS solution works very well that’s fine
Kind regards
MichaelHi Vinay,
I had done all this before, but to make sure I did not overlook anything tried it again:
Upload a new enfold folder via FTP (before I renamed the original one, now I moved it completely out of the way(don’t like to delete folders before I am certain))-> background blue
removed quick CSS-> background white
deactivated all plugins-> background white
added quick CSS-> background blue
activated plugins-> backgroundblueSo it seems the issue has nothing to do with the enfold theme folder or the activated plugins
Regards
MichaelHi Vinay,
don’t know why, but the test account lost the admin status.
It is ok now
Regards
MichaelHi Andy,
there was an issue with the provider and it apparently messed up the login.
It now works again. -
