  • Hi Ismael, thank you for your note. I just created a new topic #1104770 for that remaining issue. Please check.

in reply to: Phone icon requires 'Always load all elements' #1104490

We have a similar issue. The recommended solution to “Always load all elements” is not a good solution. It slows down the website no matter what other tricks you use afterwords to speed it up again. We should be able to find the root cause. The issue is for both of us that we created custom icons and use these as a font. The custom icons display only when we select “Always load all elements”. To our surprise, this “error” appeared after we copied our website to a new server. On the old server we were able to see the icons with the settings “Load only used elements”. On the new server, same website, the error message came suggesting to change the Performance Settings. Same website. Difference was the php version. Old 7.0 and on the new 7.3 No idea if that makes a difference in the functionality. We would be interested in a solution. Loading all Elements is too slow.

we are surprised to see that we have not received any support for our website project yet. a dead website can ruin the business. please kindly suggest a different support model that works. One week without support is too long a wait.
in the meantime we found that we probably had a database error that was invisible through normal tools. we made a local copy of the database and connected that local copy with the wordpress engine. that worked. all errors disappeared. Except one.
The remaining issue is that Enfold requires that we select in the performance settings > always load all template builder elements. This makes the website slow. We will open a new ticket for that if we are unable to resolve this on our own.

Hi Victoria, we updated the test page to show the problem clearly. Actually, there are three problems. Maybe related.
    1. Enfold Performance Settings. We selected to always load all template builder elements. The recommended settings to load only what is used does not work. The pages are full of error messages then.
    2. The AVIA elements to display portfolio items. Masonry and Magazine do not work. Masonry fetches a page (itself) instead of the Portfolio Items. Portfolio Grid fetches the correct Portfolio Items. Magazine shows only the Portfolio Categories, but not the Items.
    3. Blog Posts do not show if we select the Grid display format. They do show in the other settings.
We updated the test page to show the issues clearly. Waiting for you to use the login credentials and have a look. Please help us to understand what went wrong.

    Hi Victoria,
we are exhausted tying to find the root cause of the problem. We did a clean reinstallation of WP, added the enfold theme newest version released today and a child theme. We created a new page for testing with portfolio entries and masonry showing to portfolio entries. That worked. Then we connected our site database, wp-content etc. to see our site in the new, clean framework. Masonry does not work. We created a new page just to test the Masonry feature. We added Portfolio grid and Magazine. Turns out that the Portfolio grid works fine. Masonry does not find the portfolio pages and Magazine also not. The link to the test page is below and the login for you as well.
One thing to mention is that the domain has not arrived yet. Therefore no ssl yet.
Let us know if you need any other information. .

Observation to be added: “Enfold > Performance Settings > Disabling of template builder elements” does not do what you would expect. Selecting manually only the used features does not load any of the selected ones. Looks like we have ghost inside Enfold. We are desperate for help.

in reply to: How to customize the portfolio category page #1081881

Hi Ismael, may I follow this thread and add a question? Can we switch off this Category pages altogether? If we cannot design them then we do not want them. After all, Design is why we use Enfold. And can you tell us where that portfolio_entries.php file is located?

in reply to: Media Library List lacks info #1067706

Thank you Günter. I see your test item. Maybe I didn’t make myself clear. We use Enfold to build pages and Portfolio Items. We don’t use HTML directly.
You attached the image from the Media library using a HTML code. We use Enfold with the wonderful “Advanced Layout Editor”.
Enfold should mark the image as attached when I use the Enfold features to build the page. I built a new Portfolio Entry using the Enfold Advance Layout Editor and inserted an image as per normal workflow. The image shows in the Portfolio Item page, but the Media Library says “unattached”.
    Your wrote

“WP does not assign images that are already in the media library – this is also if you use a standard WP theme like 2019 for posts and pages.”.

If this is true, then the Uploaded To column in the Media Library List view makes no sense at all then, because it is unreliable. How can we get that fixed in WP? I am not familiar with the process. I am sure Enfold programmers are able to solve it.

Oh well, yes. It is WP standard. But the Enfold Theme should register the used images with the media library. Works with pages and posts, but not with the Enfold specific Portfolio Items. This was forgotten in the integration of the Theme into WP core.

.. “uploaded to”. Images used in Portfolio pages ate not marked as used [unattached]. Only when used in pages the media library shows the “uploaded to” info correctly.

Can this be fixed in the next update of Enfold?

in reply to: Portfolio Sub Filters #1047021

I see many people asking for a better filter function to fetch portfolio items from the database for display. I think it would be worthwhile for your development team to invest in developing it. More important than Gutenberg I think.
The code isn’t difficult for multiple choice filter. It only affects the database querry. But it isn’t a good idea to do it as a customization.

in reply to: wordpress 5 Portfolio categories #1043873

    Dear all
in quickedit you can see the categiries and select the ones you need. Not like it was before in 4.5 but more simple.
    Does it work for you?

in reply to: Portfolio Sub Filters #1043863

Very similar problem here. Glad you asked. If we can solve your issue I think we can also solve mine.

    Think recipes:
    1. Fish
    2. Meat
    3. Vegetarian

    a. grilled
    b. steamed
    c. pan fried
    d. deep fried
    e. raw

Filter should allow to select 1a (grilled Fish) and then all Portfolio items that are assigned to Fish and grilled should appear in the Portfolio Matrix or Masonry etc.
