    Hi,

    @craigriches
    thanks for your feedback, while this has helped some, your issue must be different. Glad your rollback worked.
    Please try creating a staging / testing site on a sub-domain with a copy of your site. This will allow you to test updates without effecting your production site, it will also allow us to help debug.
    Please open a new thread so we can assist, we will want communicate in the Private Content area, with login info, but as this is not your thread you will not see what we write, nor will your info be private. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

    Hi,
    I’m sorry, I see the product page is down, I first time I looked the whole site was down. This is similar to another shop I’m working on. Please include FTP access and please add a dropbox link to the server error logs, post here whould be too much.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    in reply to: 4.2.5 / Woocommerce issue #920910

    Hi,
    @Keith I found that it is giving the 502 error on v4.2.5 but not on v4.2.4
    You had v4.2.3 on the staging site.
    I also updated woocommerce to 3.3.3
    Yet on my localhost Enfold v4.2.5 & woo v3.3.3 work good (PHP v7.0, 7.1, 7.2 windows)
    so this is odd. can you please add a dropbox link to the error logs for this afternoon? They would be too big to post here.
    I’m going to research it more to find the difference between the versions, and hopefully the logs will point to the issue.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    in reply to: Blank site after updating to 4.2.5 #920898

    Hi,
    Did you update Enfold to v4.2.5 via FTP?
    This could be the issue:
    We are rewriting the elements and changing the structure in the /config-templatebuilder/ folder, and when you update via FTP some of the older files are being left in the folder at: /wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/
    The solution is to delete the /config-templatebuilder/ folder via FTP and re-upload from the new v4.2.5 theme.
    Please try this.

    Best regards,

    Hi,
    Please try downloading a new copy of v4.2.5 from Theme Forest and delete your parent theme folder: enfold then upload the new one.
    Perhaps it is a similar issue with you but a different file.
    How did you update the theme the first time, FTP or admin panel?
    Does your webhost have cacheing at the server level?

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hey I,
    Did you update Enfold from v4.2.3 to v4.2.5 via FTP.
    We are rewriting the elements and changing the structure in the /avia-shortcodes/ folder, and when you update via FTP some of the older files are being left in the folder at: /wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/
    The solution is to delete the /avia-shortcodes/ folder via FTP and re-upload from the new v4.2.5 theme.
    Please try this.

    in reply to: Countdown language #920886

    Hey pddcoms,
    I don’t think you can edit the file directy as it is compairing the text string with the language file. You could try editing the language file, but this may be easier to accomplish with the Say What Plugin
    Try adding the text you would like to replace, and your new text, and use ‘avia_framework’ as the Text Domain. This screenshot shows a example.

    in reply to: Problems after upgrade to 4.2.4 #920881

    Hi,
    The reason your text is white for your Activity post types is because it is using the css from:
    /wp-includes/css/editor.min.css
    .js .tmce-active .wp-editor-area{color:#fff}

    Yet in a regular post type WordPress uses the css from:
    /wp-includes/js/tinymce/skins/wordpress/wp-content.css
    body {color: #333;}

    So I believe that the author of the custom post type should update which css file is used for the editor.

    Hi,
    As all of these solutions were added without editing any theme files you should have no issues updating.
    * I just looked back again and see the facebook translation was done editing: /wp-content/themes/enfold/includes/helper-social-media.php
    So since you can’t override a helper function inside a child theme. The override will only work for template files such as the header.php, loops, templates etc. You can copy the whole “social icon builder” function in your child theme functions.php.

    if(!class_exists('avia_social_share_links'))
    {
    	class avia_social_share_links

    Hi,

    @Biggy
    thanks for your solution, I will look for this situation and report it when I confirm. Can I ask, when you had updated and this occurred, how did you update ftp or though the admin panel? and which version were you updating from? I would like to reproduce this error.

    Best regards,

    Hey mwaxman1,
    Thank you, I see this is a sandbox.
    Can you tell us how it was updated, ftp or though the admin panel?
    I see there is a drop-in plugin that is activate “advanced-cache.php” yet I don’t see a option to clear the cache?
    Can you give us FTP access to the sandbox?
    Your site is giving a 500 (Internal Server Error) can you upload the server error log to a dropbox link? It would be too much to post here.

    Best regards,

    Hi,
    Ich glaube, dass Sie bitten, dass, wenn Sie über FTP aktualisieren, die Wartungsnachricht wieder angezeigt wird, und die Antwort möglicherweise ist.
    Welche PHP Version verwendest du, Version 7?

    in reply to: 4.2.5 / Woocommerce issue #920821

    Hey Keith,
    The 502 is a server error refering to Bad Gateway, WP Engine explains they have a 60-second timeout for processes
    First I’d like to ask if you have your production site up and running again, perhaps with a restore?
    Then do you want us to try to update your staging site to see and try to debug the error? If so do you have a backup of the staging site?
    Wanted to ensure we understood your request first.

    Hey eattravelandmore,
    Wenn ich richtig verstehe, möchten Sie Enfold aktualisieren, aber es scheint zu hängen, versuchen Sie, manuell über FTP zu aktualisieren: https://vimeo.com/67209750
    Bitte benennen Sie Ihren übergeordneten Theme-Ordner von / enfold / in / enfold-old / um und laden Sie die neue / enfold / von Ihnen aktualisierte Version hoch. Warten Sie, bis der Upload abgeschlossen ist, bevor Sie sich wieder bei Ihrer Site anmelden.

    If I understand correctly, you would like to update Enfold but it seems to be hanging, Try to update manually via FTP: https://vimeo.com/67209750
    Please rename your parent theme folder from /enfold/ to /enfold-old/ and upload the new /enfold/ from you updated version, and wait until the upload is complete before loging into your site again.
