Hi Anna
Like @insanityNL already mentioned I would re-upload the whole enfold folder via FTP and then check again.
Cheers
MichaelFebruary 24, 2019 at 1:35 am in reply to: Any issues with WordPress 5.1 update and Enfold 4.5.4? #1070824Mh alright.
You could also try the plugin WP Downgrade to go back to WP 5.0.3.However, I do not have experience with that plugin so no idea if it actually does what you would expect.
Same for me – following this thread.
Hi Hans
I am pretty sure you can tweak the behaviour in your case with some custom CSS.
Could you share the URL from the website here please so I can take a look at it?Best,
MichaelHi Markus
I bet this is due to you are using the parent Enfold theme.
Therefore I highly recommend using a child theme. This will avoid having such issues in the future, as you are then using the child theme but updating the parent theme (and all your settings and CSS are done within the child theme so it will not be touched by the update – quite nice).See a little tutorial here: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/child-theme or as a video https://vimeo.com/67221517
Hope this helps.
Best,

Yes correct – you can also direct sign in to FTP or its file manager via Bluehost, it is the same thing at the end.
I logged in to my hosting provider and renamed the plugins folder to plugins.old but website still is not working.
Ah no – please go into that plugins folder to see the actual plugins in there. You should rename the plugins in there, not the folder above itself (because this does not change anything). So for example the folder photocrati to photocrati-old or something like that.
Cheers and good luck!

Have you tried what @madsonic suggested?
I would go for this solution as well if you can’t access wp-admin anymore at all…Cheers
MichaelHi Alex
The answer is quite simple:
Change the file links from HTTP to HTTPS to get rid of the mixed content warnings.Or are you talking about something else?
Cheers
MichaelHi Chris
How does your robots.txt file look like?
Do you have /disallow in there by any chance?Cheers
MichaelHi
In the backend on the left side navigate to:
Enfold -> General styling -> Footer -> Footer background color (as I assume you are talking about the background color and not the font color).Cheers
MichaelHi Shannon
Could you please share the website link and point out what you want to change exactly?
I will try to help you if the issue is clear to me.Cheers
MichaelFebruary 22, 2019 at 6:43 am in reply to: Any issues with WordPress 5.1 update and Enfold 4.5.4? #1070240Hey!
Not yet for me – I just updated several of my client websites to WP 5.1 and it’s all good.
Of course this does not give you a guarantee as it highly depends on which plugins you are using.However, always perform a full backup (data and database) before updating.
Cheers and I hope this helps
MichaelHi Ivana
Could you maybe share the link publicly?
This will allow everyone to help you and not only moderators.Cheers
MichaelHi timbright
Have you tried to update your theme via S(FTP)?
I suggest trying this method if the update via your WP dashboard fails.Cheers
MichaelHi Günter
Just tested it again with Enfold 4.5.4 – works like a charm.
Nice little improvement as well for the maintenance mode, very nice!Cheers
MichaelYou are very welcome!
Glad I could help… what is your website actually?That’s great news – good job!
I can’t see the private content as I am just a participant like you, however, I think this link should give you some hints about it:
// https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registrationYour current issue is probably connected to the token permissions. So after you have sorted that out, it should be fine I hope.
Hi Moondreamer
So if I’m understanding right (I’m doing this Enfold update through FTP by the way), I don’t need to generate an API key under Settings at ThemeForest.net at all anymore? Instead I need to generate a new one at https://build.envato.com?
Yes, that’s correct.
Can you confirm that’s what I’ll enter in my Enfold CHILD Template Settings in WordPress, and NOT the API key I generated under settings in myThemeForest.net account?
Yes, you need to enter the API key generated via https://build.envato.com.
Do I need to delete and replace the Enfold Child Theme as well? Or no?
No – don’t touch your child theme at all. You only need to replace and update your parent Enfold theme, that’s it. Leave the child theme as you have it right now.
Hope that helps :)
MichaelHi
Yes, you have to go to https://build.envato.com and generate a new token there. Did that not work for you?
You just insert that API key in your Enfold backend settings and if you see this blue rectangle, it means you are all set!If you still have some questions or concerns please let me know.
Cheers
MichaelFebruary 4, 2019 at 9:33 am in reply to: how to eliminate the space button and first menu item on the mobile menu #1062536This is probably possible as well, however, I don’t know how to do it right now.
If you don’t need the separators, I would just get rid of this border so they are not visible anymore:
.sub_menu li { border-right: none !important; }
February 4, 2019 at 9:19 am in reply to: how to eliminate the space button and first menu item on the mobile menu #1062533Hi Sergey
Sure – than go with this one instead:
margin-right: 10px !important; margin-left: 10px !important;
Cheers
MichaelFebruary 4, 2019 at 9:08 am in reply to: how to eliminate the space button and first menu item on the mobile menu #1062531Hi Sergey
Try this CSS code:
.responsive #top .av_header_transparency #header_meta li { margin-right: 15px !important; }
Best,
MichaelPlease click at my picture and you should find it.
Hi Lara
Interesting – is there a chance I can check it in the backend by myself?
I would need a login for that please.You should be able to assign a specific CSS identifier to that element and then define some space for it.
Cheers
MichaelAh I see!
Now it is too much at the top. So I suggest adding a bit padding again (not as much as you had previously) and it should be perfectly fine.Isn’t the text element and the button inside the color section?
You might also have some margins or paddings active which is why it is not horizontally centered anymore.Hi Lara
This CSS code should work if you insert it into quick CSS:
#av_section_3 { height: 70px !important; }
Cheers
MichaelHey!
So which version of Enfold are you currently using?
If it is version 4.4.1 or lower than you need to update manually, I prefer to do it by S(FTP).Do you know how to do that? I have done it several times and it works perfectly.
Cheers
MichaelHi Lara
Could you please post a link to your website here so I can see the color section in action?
Cheers
MichaelHey Nathan
For some reason you have a avia-menu-subtext defined.
To hide it on mobile devices, just add the following code to your CSS custom options:
@media screen and (max-width: 768px) { .avia-menu-subtext { display: none !important; } }
Cheers
