However, the distributed zip fiile for the update WITH THE FIX needs to be replaced on Thereforest otherwise countless users are going to have to do individual file swaps => ridiculuously inconvenient and a headache
As this does create a major inability to update page content, I would think this would be critical enough to pull 5.6.11 from Themeforest and replace it with a corrected zip file. Let me know if you’re going to do this => doing these file swaps is not good for customer service.

We are exploring using a fairly new plugin which displays a gallery of pdfs generated by categorizing uploaded files within the Media Library. It is here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/catfolders-document-gallery/
It seems they use the block editor to embed the gallery. We are using Classic editor and using the Enfold Advance Layout Builder. Anyone have an idea how we would embed a block within a page that was created using ALB?
Or something else entirely that could integrate into Enfold?
What about non-Elementor built content like my case above?
Chiming in here too. I just yesterday spoke with a friend who wants to rebuild an existing site that is currently using some sort of custom theme. It’s not Elementor driven but seems like a one-off built by a graphic design house. Knowing whether or not a complete build from scratch in Enfold is inevitable or if he can just switch themes and keep all his old content and then move forward with customizing Enfold for his needs. He is certainly wanting to used the advanced builder.
Hey navindesigns, I too use SiteGround and use their SG Optimizer plugin for caching. We typically enable Dynamic Caching right out of the box. Do you also have File-Based Caching and Memcached enabled? Are you also using their nelwy released CDN? I also checked your site in GTMetrix and PageSpeed alongside ours and they were pretty closed to each other – on the NOT GREAT side.

Hi Yigit, the staging site I setup was done with Siteground’s internal utility. Not seeing how using Duplicator Pro would have anything to do with this since I toggled back and forth on the live site from 5.1.2 & 5.2 and got the same garbled text slider nav and pushed down slider graphics. What you accessed was an exact duplicate of 5.1.2 and then I applied the 5.2 update to the staged 5.1.2 site before handing it off to you.
I see changes you made on the staging site fixed the issue but I am not real keen on using child theme mods and shortcode entries on pages when this should work properly in the ALB. I have 3 sites affected with this and probably will turn up a few more.
Will you have a fix for this instead of me needing to rebuild sliders and messing with debug editing?
My issue happened on a 5.1.2 to 5.2 update. No Enfold file merge or compression activated so I can’t see how it would be related to merging if there is no merging going on.
The error seems to be linked to boxed layout setups which use sliders. I just had another occurrance.
Not sure what the issue is here but is does not seem to be file compression or combination related. Furthermore, I have a few sites unaffected which are using boxed layouts and some that are affected.Kindly expedite a fix for this.

There is no merging or compression going on. I also deleted the old css and js files even though no compression is used. Same result.
The rendered html from 5.1.2 home page and 5.2 home page can be downlaoded from the link in the private info section. If you look at the difference between the two there is a clear difference of something being added in the slider treatment for 5.2 whcih was not present under 5.1.2. Apparently, this is what is botching things up.
Please advise.

Hi Rikard, thanks for the info. So is that the rule currently? Use a text block element and not a code element for shortcodes?
In the past, the code block always did work.Following up on this topic since it is still an existing issue. I have exactly the same issue with a shortcode placed in ALB. I checked the site link interstar007 posted above and the problem is still evident. I have the same issue using a mapping location plugin in a code block => [SUPER-STORE-FINDER]. It was placed within a code block on an ALB created page.
The text just prints and no shortcode execution within ALB. When I create a test page using the default editor, it works perfectly.
So it is apparent there is something seriously wrong with Enfold/ALB when using shortcodes now. I know I have some other sites where shortcodes are used within pages made using ALB, so this may have just cropped up recently. I have had no reports of other sites failing due to previously placed shortcodes not working.
This appears to be a continuing issue with Enfold and compression and minification. I have over 20 Enfold sites under management and have never used Enfold’s on-board compression or minification. When opting for a suitable speedup, I have relied upon my web host’s plugin (SG Optimizer-only for SiteGround clients). I have always been okay with its JS & CSS minification. Unless I had certain scripts in the footer code, JS & CSS compression always was fine too. Until 4.8.6.3. On certain sites, I had exactly the same problem as you with color sections. But, the issue was only evident on real mobile browsers (no desktop cheating by squeezing window). Weirder yet, when I loaded the site in an incognito/private mobile browser window the colors were visible. Completely turning off minification on both JS & CSS finally made the colors render properly in a standard mobile window.
BIG QUESTION IS: Why would I be able to see the colors in incognito/private and not in standard mobile window with minification turned on?
Thanks for the info Ismael. The Quick CSS was entered properly. CSS Minification has always been on but no CSS combination. This has been this way for over 2 years – no reason why all of a sudden it should not work – unless your folks changed something which breaks it. But, giving Kriesi the benefit of the doubt, I completely disabled SG Optimizer plugin so nothing whatsover got optimized, flushed server and browser cache – and got the same thing no mobile controls. So it it apparent the Quick CSS does NOT override the css in gallery_horizontal. You might want to have the devs check into this – I have never seen this before in Enfold. If it is an intended dev action, would like to know why. In unintended, hope a fix is worked up – Enfold-invested in way too many sites to lose Quick CSS functionality.
I removed .responsive #top .avia-slideshow-controls a{display:none;} from gallery_horizontal and the controls are now present. This is why I asked where the code was. Apparently the disabling of mobile controls is something new? Starting with 4.8.6.3?
