Yes, thanks Ismael, that worked. I had not applied “(min-width: 767px)” to my @media.
Great work-around, but I found that on mobile width, the hamburger menu fails to appear. (I need the hamburger menu to appear.)
Here’s the code I’m using:
.header-scrolled nav.main_menu {opacity: 1;} nav.main_menu {opacity: 0;} .header-scrolled #header_main {border-bottom: solid 1px #e2e2e2;} #header_main {border-bottom: none;}
Thanks Rikard. That would be my plan B. I had, in the past, used custom post Types which, somehow, gave me the ability to make special breadcrumb selections. Was looking for an easy work around. But, no worries, I’ll re-trace my steps if I have to.
Thanks again,
Okay, good to know. Thanks Ismael.
Hi Sarah. Right now it is in Local Host. So, I’ll have to follow-up on this once I upload to the actual server.
It’s for a website with 100 meeting chapter locations.
Smart Slider 3 (by Nextend) is what I’m using. The interface is really good, and they make it easy to learn the features with video tutorials (launched from the Settings page), a forum and they reply to emails.
No worries. I decided against using the Easy Slider and went with a plugin instead.
Thanks though,
Basilis. Thanks, I’ll look into that. However, and I just noticed this, when I view on IE browser, each of the video audio is heard. (Please see Private content)
Goldengate, I tried your solution, but that didn’t work.
Easy Slider.
:-)When my page loads, the video begins automatically. Is there a way I can have it not start up unless prompted to do so?
now it is viewing. Did you do anything on your end?
Hi Yigit,
Adding the LayerSlider item isn’t the problem in this case. Going back into it and editing it is. When you try to do this, all of the content and options are missing.
I was thinking it was some sort of security setting from the hosting service, but they said it’s not.cool. thanks.
Hi John,
I’m using IE 11. But, I swapped out the video to a more compresses size of 1.2mb (instead of 5) and it’s now viewing on IE quickly.
One other question. I saw a post by one of your other techs recommending multiple versions of the video. So, within the “video/audio” area of LayerSlider, I am using the following code. Is this the best one to use with LayerSlider?
<video width=”320″ height=”240″ preload=”metadata” controls>
<source src=”/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/coffeehouse-mobileusers-sm-bitrate.webm” type=”video/webm”>
<source src=”/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/coffeehouse-mobileusers-xsm-bitrate.mp4″ type=”video/mp4″>
</video>Yes, I only use I.E. for testing (so, my changing browsers is not the real issue here). When I create a website, it needs to view reasonably well on all browsers–even I.E.–for those who don’t use faster loading ones.
What about using other video formats other than mp4?
Hi Victoria,
The problem has indeed been resolved. Tested on 2 separate websites and hosting accounts. The problem was indeed security settings by the hosting company (Westhost). About a week ago (which is when the problems were being noticed) they had arbitrarily made some changes to the server security settings, thus creating havoc with the Enfold theme. Hopefully, this will help others finding similar issues going on.
Best,
Victoria (or other Enfold tech),
I’ve spoken with my hosting company and they think that a recently placed security setting on their end may be part (or all) of the problem. This will take a day or so to test out. I will get back to you ASAP.
Thanks,One other thing, Victoria, I’ve learned from my hosting company that there servers are upgrading from PHP 5.6.30 to PHP 7.0.
I have about 6 other client accounts using Enfold with this particular hosting company. So, I need to make sure that there won’t be a PHP issue on your end.Thanks much.
Hi Victoria,
Darn. There was a typo in the location of the working page. So, the the above description is correct except for the 2 pages to compare. Here is what I should have written:
http://karnaliexcursions.com/itineraries/char-dham-yatra-2017 does NOT load the Layout Builder, but http://karnaliexcursions.com/itineraries/shree-amarnath-yatra-2017-new WILL load.And as explained above, I thought that maybe the first Post was corrupted? So, I went about rebuilding the “char-dham-yatra-2017” Post (http://karnaliexcursions.com/itineraries/char-dham-yatra-2017-new/) and tested as I went along. At an obscure point, which is when I changed the Title within the “Icon List”, and went to save, it wouldn’t and took me to a 404 page not found.
Thanks for helping,
Regarding the Layout Builder not loading, I’ve tried Victoria’s linked recommendations. Nothing worked. [That site is down for the moment.]
I now have another of my sites affected by the layout builder not working (see private for location details).
Some of the Pages will load the Layout Builder, where some don’t. One Post-type (“itineraries”) example: http://karnaliexcursions.com/itineraries/char-dham-yatra-2017 does not load the Layout Builder, but http://karnaliexcursions.com/itineraries/shree-amarnath-yatra-2017 will load.

This is becoming a crisis over on my end since I use Enfold for nearly all of my clients now. I can’t even do a simple text edit to a Post because the Layout builder hides content. (Is there a way to get into an existing page to make minor edits while this matter is getting resolved?)

oops. please see updated p/w in Private.

Hi Basilis,
Yes, that I’ve tried (and just did it again). Turned off the plugins as well. Still the same issue with the form.
I don’t know if this is related, but when I copy a LayerSlider and try to edit the copied version, I get the error message:
It seems there is a server issue that prevented LayerSlider from saving your work. Please check LayerSlider>SystStatus for potential errors…This I’ve check. It seems fine.
I think I’ve narrowed down the cause of the above problem.
When I select within the form options “select element” in “Form Element Type”, it is what crashes the page.
I’ve created a testing page for you (see link in Private. You’ll see your Dashboard permissions there as well.) Go into that page and switch any of the form fields to “select element” and see if you get the same problem.Thanks!
Hi. The new p/w is in Private.
When you go to test, please be sure not to use a new page, but the one from last year which is located here: http://dotorgwebworks.org/test-home/.
[the p/w for that is also in private]Andy,
If you need to get into my WP Dashboard, please let me know. I had to change the p/w.Sorry, wrong p/w. New one is in private.
Oops. Sorry. Forgot to send that part. Here it is (see private):
I’ve set it up for you to look over an example of the problem. Please see private for info:
