Thank you. That worked.
Thanks. Upgrading the theme worked.
Well….per this thread, you can see that the entire problem was just that: Full Content WAS selected in every instance: the homepage blogposts element, the blog posts page, and the post itself… When I switch the POST layout to Advance Layout Editor, all post views — on the homepage and the blog posts page become excerpted. Something in the ALE is causing that, I don’t know what. When I switch back to the block editor, the excerpts again become the full post.
Here’s what I need to happen — all posts (and pages) use ALE and all posts obey the Blog element selection: FULL CONTENT when it is used on pages.
UPDATE: The problem persists but I’m going to do a workaround and just have the client work in Blocks from now on. Others may see the issue but I’m not going to work on the problem. No need to reply.

Yeah… I had tried that previously with the older Enfold version and nothing happened. Tried it again with the update and same problem.
Can’t get Google fonts to display, regardless of which font I choose in Theme Options. If I choose a web font, I can get it to switch to that web font. Have cleared cache, etcetera.(suddenly started working)All plugins still deactivated.
One other anomaly that may have bearing. Although I have been using the Advanced Layout Editor, when I use the Classic Editor instead, there is nothing but a blank screen. When I switch to the Block Editor, the posts show up as wished. So the problem appears to be in the Advanced Layout Editor/Classic Editor toggle.

I re-purchased the theme (I had bought it a year earlier for this project, sigh) and confirmed it’s 4.6.1.
The problem persists though. No ability to access or edit excerpt length, and instruction in blog-post-element to show “full content” ignored.- This reply was modified 5 years, 3 months ago by kthompson.
July 20, 2018 at 7:27 pm in reply to: Avia Layout Builder doesn't load following switch to https #987986Thanks. You have confirmed my suspicion that my troubles are server and not theme-related. I have switched ISP/servers and so far, all is well.
I am having the same problem. Site switched to HTTPS; public-facing looks fine, but cannot edit. The theme is latest update according to Theme Update.
Well, I got it to appear but any hints on how to get it to the top of the post rather than the bottom appreciated.
ok. looks like I have to learn about child themes…
thanks.
Hi. Any clues???
OK. I had to ftp it in twice– the first time it threw a bunch of errors. This is a file that I just downloaded from envato, unzipped and put to the live site — after deleting the enfold folder that was there before. The theme says it’s 3.8 but the menus are the same — no portfolio categories or other assets.
thanks Vinay. I’ve had two clients breeze right past that warning dialog (i know i know). Go figure.
molti grazie!

Hi. I installed relevanassi and added a new taxonomy/category to the portfolio posts — or what I thought was one. But it just looks like tags in the admin. I added the code to the homepage widget and it behaves like a category but when one clicks on Neighborhoods, instead of a page like this: http://www.ktstage.com/overnight/all-hotels/ I get a page that looks like this: http://www.ktstage.com/overnight/hotels_neighborhoods/midtown/
My client wants a way to parse the hotel properties by type and neighborhood.
Thanks.
