I’ve done a complete fresh install of wordpress and enfold and that seems to have fixed the problem

The new javascript didn’t make any change to my blog posts. The featured image was still at the top

I have never had comments on my posts as far as I can remember. Could it be that a plugin is interfering? What else can I try?

I’ve tried making a new post but the comments section still doesn’t work.
