    I haven’t because, as much as possible, I’d like to try to let your system manage things. Is there some a way to force the one block to load on every page? Can you point me toward any code that might give me a hint at how to do it?

    Ismael, you said “Some of the elements have to be disabled manually because they are still use by other elements or templates in the site.” Can you point us toward how to manually disable a builder block? Or, in my case, how to enable one when “Load only used elements” is selected? I’m using a block in a custom widget area in the header and the icon list in the widget doesn’t work when I have the “Disable Template Builder Elements” set to “Load only used elements”.

    in reply to: Product Search fail to find products by SKU #1127002

    I figured this out!!! Woo hoo!!!! Or perhaps I should say, I hacked together a solution that seems to work. I don’t know if this is the best solution or if it would work in all situations. Or that it didn’t break something I’m not aware of yet…

    For anyone who is interested, this is related to the functions-enfold.php file and the avia_ajax_search() function. The comments in this function says that it “hook[s] into wordpress ajax function to catch any ajax requests”. This function is set up to use get_posts() to get the search results when the call is made to it via WP’s admin-ajax.php file. In fact, the function contains the ability to switch out and use a custom function instead of get_posts. That might be a better way to accomplish what I’m doing here but I don’t know honestly.

    At any rate, all I did was change the filters provided by @hunter74 to also check if $_REQUEST contains the parameter “s”, This would indicate a search term was being requested. If it does, the meta values are checked for the search term and since one of the meta values is WooCommerce SKU, those records would be returned if any exist.

    So this is the revised code:

    /** __________________________________ ENHANCE THE STANDARD SEARCH
     * Join posts and postmeta tables
     * This one hels to include the SKU in tzhe standard search
    function cf_search_join( $join ) {
        global $wpdb;
        if ( is_search()  || !empty($_REQUEST['s'] )) {
            $join .=' LEFT JOIN '.$wpdb->postmeta. ' ON '. $wpdb->posts . '.ID = ' . $wpdb->postmeta . '.post_id ';
        return $join;
    add_filter('posts_join', 'cf_search_join' );
     * Modify the search query with posts_where
    function cf_search_where( $where ) {
        global $pagenow, $wpdb;
        if ( is_search() || !empty($_REQUEST['s'] ) ) {
            $where = preg_replace(
                "(".$wpdb->posts.".post_title LIKE $1) OR (".$wpdb->postmeta.".meta_value LIKE $1)", $where );
        return $where;
    add_filter( 'posts_where', 'cf_search_where' );
     * Prevent duplicates
    function cf_search_distinct( $where ) {
        global $wpdb;
        if ( is_search() || !empty($_REQUEST['s'] ) ) {
            return "DISTINCT";
        return $where;
    add_filter( 'posts_distinct', 'cf_search_distinct' );
    /* END Search includes SKU */

    If anyone out there has a better (possibly more secure) solution, I’m definitely curious to hear about this. And, honestly, I think this type of feature should be added to the Enfold core or perhaps a framework for adding fields to search criteria should be defined.

    In any case, I love Enfold and really appreciate what a great theme the team has developed!

    in reply to: Product Search fail to find products by SKU #1126960

    This files above make sense from a filtering standpoint but don’t seem to impact the Ajax search functionality in any way I can see. What I’m asking is if you can point me in the direction of what files are related to the Ajax search.

    in reply to: Product Search fail to find products by SKU #1123641

    I’d like to look into modifying the ajax search to support product SKUs. I understand that’s outside the scope of normal support but can you give me a nudge in the right direction on where to start?

    Okay, thanks. See the private content…

    in reply to: Open custom Youtube link in lightbox #1122546

    Thanks for your reply. That solution didn’t work. Also the lightbox modal window option is turned on and the console is clear of any javascript errors.

    What else can we try?

    in reply to: WooCommerce, Enfold, Shortcodes and after_theme_setup #1075133

    @mike, this issue appears to be closed for me but it looks like at least one other people is having similar problems. Thanks!

    in reply to: WooCommerce, Enfold, Shortcodes and after_theme_setup #1074527

    This seams to have solved the problem. But can you give me an explanation for what happened? Will this patch be added to the next release of the theme? Thanks!

    Also, you mentioned a private content link above. There’s no link in the discussion thread. I received it in email, though, when you sent it to @dermachiel.

    Gah!! I gave you the wrong URL with the login info. The correct URL of the site is in the original post. I just put it in private content of this message. Sorry/thanks.

    I just reset the password to the one above. No idea why it would have stopped working. Please try again.

    Every performance option is disabled or unchecked and I still have the issue.

    What does “disable performance and enable it” mean? Are you talking about under theme options? There’s no general “performance” option that I can find anywhere; on theme options or otherwise. Please clarify.

    Hi, Peter. I just wanted to be clear that I don’t need support on this issue. I just wanted to post a how-to on this to help other visitors.

    in reply to: "Menu Above" and social media icon placement #971437

    Hey, Jordan. Before we go that route, I guess I want to go back to my initial question. Is there a filter/action I can use to insert something into the closing of the menu and before the closing </div> right after it? This is the best solution. I really don’t want to have to style a bunch of stuff and have to test it across all the various devices and browsers if I could just drop it into the place I actually want it.

    in reply to: "Menu Above" and social media icon placement #971376

    That makes the social media icons disappear since they are inside #header_meta.

    in reply to: "Menu Above" and social media icon placement #970219

    Thanks, Jordan. That’s close but not quite it. Doing this adds a band above the menu bar and pushes the menu bar down. The icons appear in approximately the right place but the overall menu bar doesn’t. I’d still like the menu bar to be flush with the top of the window.

    Any suggestions? Thanks!

    in reply to: Widget area beside logo (Logo Center, Menu Above) #970160

    The issue is that the instructions (linked above) don’t work for adding a widget area next to the logo if the header is set to “Logo Center, Menu Above”. I was able to find another hook in the theme to make it work, though. I used “ava_before_bottom_main_menu” instead of “ava_after_main_menu” as your instructions suggested.

    This is an issue with the mail system not trusting the web server to send email for that domain. The easiest thing to do is set up a account (free for under 10K emails/month but requires a credit card on file) and install the Mailgun for WordPress plugin ( You’ll have to have access to the DNS settings for their domain.

    Also, if you’re using Gravity Forms, I would suggest that you set up the form itself to send each notification from the same email address you set up in the Mailgun plugin.

    This has solved 100% of my email delivery issues. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

    in reply to: Child theme and Cision feed – any workaround? #966827

    Hi, indpro. If you’re interested, send email at kevinm [at] buenacg [dot] com and we can talk about what you need. No pressure though.

    in reply to: Hamburger #965624

    At this point you’ll have to post a link to your site. I’m not a moderator, though, so you’d have to post it in view of everyone. Or post it in private content and one of the mods can check it out.

    in reply to: Google Maps API #965622

    Sorry to hear about your predicament. I don’t know of any way to get around it. But the best response to customers who don’t want to set up a Google API account is that you’ll be happy to remove the Google map from the site. This is a change Google made and they have to roll with it if they want to continue using their service. Or they could pay you or someone to draw a custom map for them in Illustrator, for example. Or they can pay you for your time to figure out how to embed from Bing or something. In the end, a credit card on file is the cheapest solution for them.

    That’s my two cents, anyway. Good luck!

    This is an issue with WordPress, not with Enfold. I searched Google for “wordpress disable font awesome” and this is the first result:

    Give this or one of the other solutions a try and let us know how it goes.

    in reply to: Remove animation #965618

    I found this by googling “enfold stop masonry animation”. Have you tried it?

    in reply to: Child theme and Cision feed – any workaround? #965617

    Hi, indpro. This is definitely something you’d have to hire a developer to look at. It would be next impossible to diagnose and resolve without having access to the server and a login for WordPress. I’m a PHP/WordPress developer and I’d be happy to help but I’m not sure I’m allowed to solicit for work here. If you’re interested, though, reply back and we’ll see if one of the moderators gives us the thumbs up to work together.

    in reply to: Reduce padding between 1/3 sections #965610

    Add this to your custom CSS. It will adjust the margin and width of the second and third block in a three column layout. Be aware that it will do it to tall of them throughout the site. You may want to target this CSS at specific pages or blocks with additional classes.

    div .av_one_third {
        margin-left: 2%;
        width: 31.333333%;
