  • Hi Victoria,

    thank you so much for the hint :) Didn’t see it – will fix it and then try again.
    My best regards,
    KELmedia

    Hello, you are on the wrong site – I totally forgot to mention that. Very sorry for my mistake.
    Check private message.

    Hello Victoria,
    of course I do … and I can login with the credentials I’ve sent to you … so maybe please try again?

    Hi Victoria,
    created a new user for you – please try again.

    Dear Victoria,

    please find log-in credentials below.
    What I did to at least make the whole background one color :
    U put the following snippet into quick css section:
    .avia-cookie-consent {
    width: 100%;
    position: fixed;
    background-color: rgba(70,103,143,0.8);
    z-index: 999;
    color: rgba(255,255,255,0.9);
    padding: 1.1em;
    text-align: center;
    opacity: 1;
    visibility: visible;
    transition: all 0.3s ease-in-out;
    overflow: hidden;
    }
    Moreover, I deleted the cusomised element in “erweitertes styling” for cookie consent message bar.

    Now, the cookie banner is black with an opaticty — that’s okay, but not perfect….
    It would be nice if the selected colour in the css would apply to the whole box.

    Thanks a lot again & my best regards,
    KEL

    Hi Victoria,
    sorry for following up that late … your suggestion did not work. Neither the one way nor the other.
    Any suggestions?

    Kind regards,
    KEL

    Hello Victoria,

    I took two screenshots to explain what I want to do :)
    Hope, they’ll help – it would be great, if you could have a look.
    I’m running ENFOLD theme on several websites and it’s important, that cookies are blocked effectively before user gives consent.

    Best regards,
    KEL

    Hello Victoria,

    concerning the cookie box: I would like the background (which is now black) to match my website’s main colors (as far as I have tried, this is not to be achieved by styling options in enfold options).

    Of course I cleared the cache :)
    I’d like to attach a screenshot – could you please tell me, where to send it to?

    Thanks a lot in advance & kind regards,
    KEL

    Hi @all,

    it seems that the problem was due to the contact form.
    I removed it from contact page just to test – and since then the malware scans of the webhost seems to be clean.
    I’ll install Contact Form 7 plugin in the site and add reCAPTCHA – what hopefully will solve the problem.

    Thanks again to all of you for providing help.

    Hi Jordan,
    thanks for your reply.
    Already installed Contact Form 7 and the problem’s gone since a few days now.

    Nonetheless I’d be happy if you find a solution as i really like the theme’s contact form :)

    in reply to: Infected Theme file #1102785

    Hello @all,
    well “nothing to worry about” is not really true … I have the same issue, found the same thing in both dummy-files (php and xml).
    Question is: If that files are only neccessary to import dummy data after installing Enfold (means: when you need Enfold to load dummy data to make it easier setting up a site) – can one simply delete this files? I mean, I’m sure they will be back again after running a theme update…. But if those files are causing problems, deleting them (and changing passwords for FTP and WP of course) would be a “quick and dirty” solution, wouldn’t it?
    That’s of course only possible, if the site will work without these files, which it does (as another moderator assured in another threat I started concerning this problem.

    Looking forward for answers and suggestions :)
    Kind regards,
    KEL

    Hi MichaelH,
    nope, scanned it manually: wrote a little program that searches the whole installation on FTP for several strings. Found them in a few files, which I’ve already deleted. Also deleted the plugin that seemed to cause the problem …. but as you can see in my message above, problem’s still there.

    Thanks for the link to sitecheck.sucuri – ran the scan at this site and it says that everything is perfectly ok …

    I will change all passwords right away! Thanks for that – didn’t think about it *shame on me*

    Cheers,
    KEL

    Hi Rikard,
    unfortunately, the problem is still there … the website has been closed again by the host.
    I really don’t know, what’s that all about as I deleted every corrupted file.
    Seems to me that the site got attacked and infected either again or more than I found by scanning it.

    Do you have any clou, how to fix this?
    Please have a look at private part of the message.
    I’ll give back access to the site manually and provide you the FTP credentials in private section.

    Best regards,
    KEL

    Hi Goldengate,
    nope, GoDaddy is like the worst hosting ever :D
    the client is from Germany and the host ist strato – not much better than GoDaddy.
    I always recommend a better hosting service, but it’s the client’s choice …

    Thanks again for your advise – I will contact the host and see, what they tell me about this….

    Have a wonderful weekend & my best regards,
    KEL

    Hi Rikard,
    hi @all,

    updating Enfold via FTP solved the problem – fantastic!
    Bu still have another problem on the site: when trying to edit imprint page I get the following message in backend:
    Service Unavailable
    The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

    Backend looks good though …. what could cause this problem?

    Best regards,
    KEL

    Hello Nikko,

    it’s me again …. found a corrupted line in
    wp-content\themes\enfold\includes\admin\dummy.xml:14562: <wp:comment_author_email> (Email address hidden if logged out) </wp:comment_author_email>
    I’d like to delete this file – question: if I do so, will the website still work correctly?

    Thanks a lot in advance

    in reply to: HELP!!! Backend works – Frontend "Access denied" #1101682

    Hi Nikko,

    I’m also sure about no malware in Enfold :)

    Websites can be hacked, that’s a fact, but I couldn’t find any corrupted code in WP …
    Debugging did not work as the webshoster made the website unaccessible. Only way to make frontend accessible was to call the host and tell him to do so. We will see whether it was a problem with the webhoster or with WP itself. I checked the whole installation by searching for the strings they told me would cause the problem but couldn’t find them in any of the files.

    Thanks again – you can mark this thread as solved.
    My best regards to you and your team!

    Hi Goldengate,
    first thing I did was checking PHP version – it’s 7.3 :)
    I really hope that the issue will be fixed with updating Enfold via FTP.
    Thank you so much – I’ll come back to you and tell you, if it worked.

    in reply to: HELP!!! Backend works – Frontend "Access denied" #1101549

    Hi Nikko,

    I called the webhoster as I found something like “rest API error 403” – the hoster told me, that the malware scan detected an infected file – which was index.php in root folder. That’s why they shut down the whole site …. but here come’s the strange thing: index.php is totally ok.

    They made the side accessible again but told me, that if a further scan detects something strange they’ll shut it down again.

    So I really don’t know, what the problem could be. I did a scan through the whole installation and found NOTHING…. The error occured after updating WP and Enfold to newest versions….

    Kind regards,
    KEL

    Hi Goldengate415,
    I updated via backend – so maybe that’s the point!
    Thanks for your suggestion – I’ll try to do so.
    Never had plugins conflicts before with Enfold, but of course: There’s a first time for everything ;)

    Thanks a lot & kind regards,
    KEL

    Hi Michael,
    ah now I see that you’re a participant and can’t read private content …
    thanks for you’re advise but downgrading is like not really solving the problem …

    Hello Michael,

    sorry for not sharing the website URL in a normal comment – it’s a client’s website which I do not want to share by now.
    I think it happened after the last update of Enfold – I made a full backup before updating WP to 5.2.
    Already asked the webhoster – they told me there should be no problem but to make sure they told me they’d check again.

    So maybe you could log in to see what that’s all about ….

    Thanks a lot in advance & kind regards,
    KEL

    Hi Mike,

    thanks a lot for checking this for me. I ran the scan again – and tadaaaa :) no issues were found.
    It’s great that you checked the “infected” files and I am very happy, that they’re actully NOT infected :)

    Plus: a great “thumbs up!” for ENFOLD theme and for your team, of course.

    My best regards to y’all

    Hi Ismael,
    thanks fot the articles – nonetheless the Google warnings I recieved weren’t about page speed but about if the website’s mobile friendly. Never mind, I checked the warnings again and tested the concerning sites on several mobile devices on my own. Result: I can’t really see, where elements are too close together so you can’t properly click on them (like Google warned me about). And there is no single picture that is displayed uncorrectly or wouldn’t fit the mobile devices screen … so maybe you’re right and that was a “false” warning.
    Best regards,
    Katharina

    Hello Ismael,

    thanks for the screenshot where I can’t find nothing wrong displayed on.
    Fun fact: Checking mobile friendly site on Google tool shows several issues … like script issues (private content 1).
    Plus the tool tells me, that two pictures are too big to fit mobile screen (private content 2) – which I don’t really get why as the pics are resized correctly when checking “in real life” on a mobile screen.

    You’re for sure right that these warnings are false, but I fear if Google will downgrade the site’s search ranking … and the other side which has kind of the same issues as Google tells me.

    Kind regrads,
    Katharina

    Hi Basilis,

    thank you for checking the issue one more time.
    That’s ok – I’ll change the typo to Open Sans.
    Would be great, if you let me know when you have a solution :)

    My best wishes to you and your team,
    KEL
