Hi – thanks for getting back to me. Yes that code has contained the Easyslider in the coloured section – if I reduce the size of the images I’m using the Easyslider will they automatically get smaller and therefore reduce the height of the coloured section?
Also, could you help me with the layout/appearance of the social icons when viewed on a 1024 x 768 as in the screenshot that I sent previously?
Thank you!
Kathryn
Hi – if somebody could get back to me today re the above queries I would really appreciate it – my client is chasing me!
Many thanks.
Kathryn
Hi – any help please?
Thanks!
Kathryn
Hi, after setting the header background image to scroll on the other website http://www.littlefoxwebdesign.co.uk/lumbandmacgill and it seemed to solve the problem, I did the same here – and it seems to have worked! Whew!
Just for information, what are the ideal background image sizes for the header width?
Thanks.
Hi, after playing around, I have fixed the background image header issue – I changed the setting to Scroll and it looks good! So if you could help me with the issue of the social icons dropping down when viewed on the 1024 x 768 screensize as per previous screenshot that would be great.
Also, as you can see on the Home Page, I’ve got an Easy slider set up – I’ve reduced the size of the images that I’m using to 480 x 322 with no scaling – but it is still overlapping the coloured background which is set to no minimum height. My background image size is 21 x 322.
Thanks!
Kathryn
Hi – so this link:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/q4pn4st3qxtweib/lumbandmacgillheader1.JPG?dl=0
shows the problem with the line going through the menu bar header area and this link:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/exvb1e9l00sp4br/lumbandmacgill1024x768.JPG?dl=0
shows the problem when viewed on a 1024 x 768 screensize – the social icons jump down below the link and there is still the line/background image problem in the main menu bar area.
Thanks!
Kathryn
Hi – I’m using Chrome and Windows 8 – when I load the page the header looks fine, but if I scroll up and down the page 2 or 3 times, when I get back to the top the header has completely disappeared or sometimes just the top half is still visible. I’ve attached two screenshots showing the before and after – in the second screenshot you can just see the pink tip of the vase.
Thanks!

Hi – yes that seems to have done the trick – thank you. Some of the text on the background image that I’ve added seems cut off when I view it on an Ipad/Iphone – is that just a case of playing around with the layout of my background image until it looks okay on everything?
Thank you.
Kathryn
Hi – I’ve checked the website on my IPhone and on an IPad and there’s definitely something wrong with the header – it’s not showing correctly/responsively. Perhaps I have the size of the background image wrong? I’d really appreciate it if you could take a look.
Thank you!
Hi – that’s worked great for the socket text – thank you – would appreciate it if you’d post here if Ismael does find anything that needs fixing and it’s not just my machine!
Thanks for your help – brilliant Theme – I’ve already bought 6 copies for different websites and am about to purchase a 7th! Not found another Theme this flexible!
Kathryn
Hi – I’m using Chrome and Windows 8 … I’ve checked in IE and you’re right it’s behaving itself! Bizarre …
One more question – could you tell me the custom css to centre align the socket text please?
Thanks for your help.
Hi – absolutely perfect for the socket shadow thank you – I’m afraid the header is still disappearing if I scroll down the page and then scroll back up again!
Thanks.
Hi – I’ve remove the two images I was using on the Home Page so don’t need help with the spacing between single images – just the header disappearing and if it’s possible to add a shadow to the socket border?
Thanks!
Don’t worry – I’ve solved this by putting each item in a separate check box one underneath each other and then hiding all the other check boxes when ‘Felling’ is selected and it looks fine like that.
Thanks for your help!
Hi – fair enough, I thought that might be the case. As an alternative, if I put felling as a single checkbox and then list the rest of the checkboxes separately and then use conditional logic to hide them if somebody selects, Felling, is there any custom code that I could use to reduce the amount of space between the single felling check box field and the list of checkboxes below?
Thanks!
Kathryn
Hi Josue
Yes I have – I’m afraid they’ve said that it’s not a standard feature of Gravity Forms. They’ve suggested an add on that I could purchase which might help but I’ve tried to contact the add on author to clarify that it will allow me to specify a particular checkbox and unfortunately I can’t get a response.
I thought I might be able to tweak the code that I’ve attached above to do the job? I suppose it’s more complicated than that … ?
Kathryn
Perfect – thank you!
Yes you can – many thanks for your help!
You’re right! Looks good if I do CTRL+shift+N – I cleared my browser via Tools – clear browsing data but it still looks the same – however I’ve viewed it in Internet Explorer and it looks fine. Is there a way to as you say “flush” the browser cache more extensively?
Thanks.
Hi – you can see the header as I see it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mmpt7e4fmzppp2z/lumbandmacgillheader.JPG?dl=0
I’ve viewing it in Chrome. Yes it should look the way it looks for you!
Thanks.
I’m afraid it’s still the same!
Hi – the code for the Posts Slider works perfectly thank you – the code for the header background has switched the grey bar to the bottom instead of the top! Do I need to amend it in some way?
Thanks.
Hi – yes brilliant thank you – it was a Twitter plugin that was causing the problem. So my two final questions are:
1) Is it possible to center the image on the Posts Slider that I have on the Home Page with some custom CSS and:
2) I have used a background for the header but it doesn’t seem to go all the way down the header – have a done the settings wrong?
Thanks so much for getting back to me – glad I didn’t have to re-do it!
Hi – any chance that you could take a look at this issue for me please? I don’t want to start the whole site over again if it’s a simple fix …
Thank you!
Hi – just noticed that the copyright in the footer has also disappeared from the front end – could you help me out asap please as my client is waiting for this website!
Thank you!
This reply has been marked as private. That’s worked brilliantly – thank you so much!
Could you help me with the last couple of things:
1) Could you tell me if there’s some custom CSS I can use to widen the space between the main menu links? I don’t seem to be able to adjust that in the Advanced Styling section and if possible I’d like to increase the space between the last menu link and the social icons.
2) As you can see on the Home Page I’m using the Post Slider on the left-hand side – is there any way to centre the image?
Thank you again for your help!
Kathryn
… or if the image is there but I choose a smaller size of image to display – can I centre the image?
Thanks.
Hi – sorry one other query, as you can see on the Home Page I’m using the Post Slider on the left-hand side – is there any way to remove the image from displaying with the text?
Thanks!
Hi – thanks for the reply. I’ve used the Easy Slider and that works fine. I’ve also switched the menu links to the left, but could you remind of the custom CSS to use to widen the space between the links?
For the social links, I added the code that you mentioned to the Custom CSS but as you can see here: http://www.littlefoxwebdesign.co.uk/lumbandmacgill/ it doesn’t look great! Could you tell me how I could modify the code to have them show properly? Or can I adjust the shape of the circle in any way – any other ideas?!
Thanks.
