My layerslider disappeared also – I narrowed it down to Jetpack and disabled lazy load and the layerslider reappeared.

in reply to: Google Maps not working #677843

This is from the author of the Google Maps Widget plugin in response to a review:
“We have more than enough instructions for generating the key + a really helpful forum if anything goes wrong. And you don’t even need an API key for your maps to work properly. But still, thank you for registering just to express your opinion.”

in reply to: Google Maps not working #677841

Often it takes a while for the API key to work. Also consider clearing cache, DNS to check it. I use Wordfence security plugin and sometimes that is a problem.
After trying every combination I could think of, the only thing that worked was removing the API key.
One other thought – I have a Google account for each client, but it is through their domain. In other circumstances, my gmail account worked….
I have always had difficulty with API keys, but never as much as this time.

in reply to: Google Maps not working #677815

I spent the last 3 hours and after setting up 3 API keys – none of which worked – also tried the Google API Plugin.
Note: After updates of WP – Enfold – all plugins – this was when I noticed maps stopped working. Originally I had Google Maps Widget Plugin installed. I used that Widget for my primary map areas. I had also used Enfold Maps Widget.
Not sure exactly what/why it worked but I deactivated Google Maps Widget plugin and Google API Plugin. Then Enfold Maps Widget worked. I prefer Google Maps Widget for easier display, etc.
So after Enfold Maps Widget worked, I reactivated Google Maps Widget plugin, and I REMOVED the API key and now they both work.
Just FYI, I tried the API key in Google Maps Widget settings, Google API Plugin and Enfold Google Services – didn’t seem to work in any combination – only when I removed it.
    Hope this helps someone

in reply to: Non Standard Size Video #618910

I copied the embed code from Google Drive for the video and put it in the text box – tried several other options, but none worked. Once I inserted the iframe code – text box/code, etc it published fine, but if I tried to edit it, got the endless spinning wheel….
Would love to find a solution for this…

in reply to: Non Standard Size Video #618833

I’m having the same issue – just spins – can’t edit the page once I’ve embedded the video and updated the page.
Corina – FYI – I created the page the way I wanted and then included a text box where I would add the video and saved it as a template – at least then when I went back to edit, I just created a new page with the template – saved some time.

I would like all the feature images on the blog page to be the same size (254×200) – cropped if necessary. Also, if I try to edit the image, crop is grayed out. What do I need to do?

in reply to: Video Won't Open in Lightbox #606407

Thanks – couldn’t make it work in Video box or text box, but added a button below the video – Open in Lightbox with the format above.
For anyone else having this problem – you need to use the actual YouTube url and NOT the share link in order for it to work.
I LOVE Enfold and have used it for several clients – seems having images and videos open in lightbox shouldn’t be this difficult – more simple in several themes which are no where near as good as Enfold.
    Thanks for your help!

in reply to: Responsive Menu – Need CSS #579302

Sorry – didn’t see your reply – believe the font should shrink and/or padding between items should resize?
Also, mobile menu disappears when scrolling down on smartphones/tablets.
Header widget (drfester.com) doesn’t stack on mobile like it does on amgpinehurst.com – although mobile menu seems to disappear on both.
    Thanks,

    Thanks – I remember now

in reply to: Sidebar Menu Widget CSS #560662

Thanks Vinay – I think I will just leave the white background on the one page – doubt anyone will notice it besides me. :) I appreciate your help.

in reply to: Sidebar Menu Widget CSS #560020

Thank you – I don’t currently use a CDN/Cloudflare for this site and I have disabled WP Cache while editing.
In any case, I did add the CSS as mentioned above and it did remove the white background on all the subpages of “Video Tutorials”, but the background is still there on the main page http://market-now.com/wp-video-tutorials/the-dashboard/.
I still cannot find CSS to remove the white background on that page – can you help?
    Thanks

in reply to: Sidebar Menu Widget CSS #559386

I flushed the DNS – closed and reopened the browser and tried a different browser – I go back and forth between Chrome and Firefox.
I just realized that it works for all the individual pages – custom menu, but does not work for the primary link “video tutorials” – http://market-now.com/wp-video-tutorials/.
Curious to know if WP Supercache plugin makes it difficult to see changes when editing?
    Thanks

    Try this password

in reply to: Sidebar Menu Widget CSS #559355

I added the code but it didn’t remove the white. I even added !important, but no luck. I’ve sent admin login below.
    Thanks,

What I did was to save whatever portion/element I needed to replicate on multiple pages as a template. You can then select the page you need to edit and “choose template” and load it. It will add whatever is included at the bottom of your page – you can then move it, edit it, etc just as you would on a regular page.
You’ll still have to add to each individual page, but it’s a lot easier to just load it as a template and move it.
    Hope this helps.

in reply to: Header Widget #502155

Thanks – the change in CSS for top worked to display, but when scrolling down, the header still shrinks some even though I have checked Sticky Header and the widget info does not shrink. http://amgpinehurst.com/
    Thanks

Please see the original post which includes the content, CSS and PHP changes. It worked when I first set it up, but then after upgrading, it disappeared and I can’t get it to reappear.

in reply to: Header Widget #500722

    2 problems:
How do I add the child theme after I’ve made all the customization to the regular theme?
What I did above did not work – the header widget is not visible – what can I do to make it visible?
    Thanks,
    Jean

I’m having the same issue with my menu overlapping the menu – I’ve checked the Header Mobile Menu – 990px, but still have the problem. Also, my slider is no longer centered and the text has moved – I haven’t checked the layer slider settings yet
    Need Help ASAP please

in reply to: Site Migration – image links did not update #192352

I actually used this Search and Replace tool, http://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/ but think I didn’t do it quite right as I had to make some manual changes etc – had to make some updates…. wish I’d known about this tool in the first place – seems more user friendly…. will try it next time. Was afraid to use it after I’d made some manual changes so ended up just updating images manually – learning curve….
    Thanks for the help
