This may be possible via css. Another suggestion would be to create a mobile friendly section with images to match which can be hidden on desktop.

Please edit the blog page (Pages > All Pages and click the “Edit” link underneath the blog page title) and on the right side of the editor page search for the “Layout” settings box. Select “Layout” – “No sidebar” and save the blog page to remove the sidebar.

The id or class are usually static as to make sure it’s read and treated the same all around. Did you try adjusting my css to 114?

I see, wordpress is cropping images by default and you can control it using a plugins like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
