I had a plugin installed but disabled. The WPCACHEHOME variable was still set in my wp-config.php.
Unsetting the variable seems to fix it!?
My production site uses the same caching plugin (WP-Cache Manager) and does not have the same bug running WC 2.6.14 and Enfold 4.0.5.
May 26, 2017 at 2:19 pm in reply to: WooCommerce Cart Icon Broken – WooCommerce 3 / Enfold 4 #800141Please read above and look at the screenshots. There are multiple people with this problem. Your reply indicates you have not read the thread.
May 26, 2017 at 1:31 am in reply to: WooCommerce Cart Icon Broken – WooCommerce 3 / Enfold 4 #799914I have not changed anything mate. It’s as it was the other day. I am hoping you guys can provide a fix so I can upgrade my Production site to WC3.0. The workaround of forcing the cart icon constantly is a bit ugly.

JasonMay 24, 2017 at 1:06 am in reply to: WooCommerce Cart Icon Broken – WooCommerce 3 / Enfold 4 #798651Can you provide a screenshot? Did you move between pages in between adding to cart? Were using the add-to-cart link from the product grid (as shown in my screenshot) or from individual product pages?
You can see in screenshot that the cart dropdown is set to right: -60px; as it’s off the screen… This is from a new browser session with cache cleared.

May 22, 2017 at 10:46 am in reply to: WooCommerce Cart Icon Broken – WooCommerce 3 / Enfold 4 #797526I am running 4.0.7 that was a typo.
Can you please attempt to reproduce this on your end?
Thanks,

March 6, 2017 at 11:45 pm in reply to: Enfold based contact form with anti-spam seems not to work. #756649Were there any changes to spam protection in this version or was this a general comment?
I am on 4.0.2.
March 4, 2017 at 6:19 am in reply to: Enfold based contact form with anti-spam seems not to work. #755481+1 – same issue here. Obviously the spam bots have worked out this captcha and are abusing all sites using it. Looking forward to a fix!
Is it possible to get a proper fix for this?
With mobile taking 50% of site traffic now it’s imperative to have a working slider on mobile. Images for text is a hack from the 1990s!
Jason
Gold, the answer I was looking for. Thanks a bunch, just a pity it took two threads and 3 posts to get to this resolution.
You can close the thread.
I’m not using https for my public site as it requires a lot more CPU.
I seem to struggle to get fit for purpose resolutions to problems on these forums. Not one other plugin or theme I’ve seen has a hard coded URL prefix for resources.
You can dynamically work out whether the current session is http or https at run time, and should be doing this in your theme code that references this css file. Not one other css file on the site has this issue.
It would be great to see a proper fix, there are many unresolved threads on this topic in your forums.
Cheers,
JasonIs there a chance you could fix this in the theme so a hack isn’t required? There have been a few threads on this topic.
I don’t have a child theme, but could put it in my functionality plugin if I had to – but I shouldn’t really have to!
Cheers,
JasonYou’re right, no columns are marked as highlighted in that example, but it’s actually the font colour for the theme-coloured button that’s broken. I worked out after my post that it’s not related to the highlighted column.
I used this quick CSS to patch it:
.avia-color-theme-color span { color:#ffffff; }
Would appreciate if you could look into a permanent fix.
Cheers,
JasonLegendary. That’s fixed it here too. Weird that display-block wasn’t the culprit. Thanks heaps for your help and persistence.
A surprisingly large portion of my customers use IE8, so this was an important one to fix for me.
Cheers,
JasonYou wont reproduce the issue unless you use the same content. You need three 1/3 columns, within each a text block containing an image, and then to make the image a link. I guarantee you will reproduce the issue if you try this.

Seeing as it’s been THREE WEEKS and you haven’t even tried to resolve the main issue above, I fired up an XP VM with IE8 and had a look.
On line 151 of base.css you set the img tag to
display: inline-block;
. This is not supported on IE8.Would appreciate if you could fix this in 2.3.3 / 2.4…
edit: I think your shiv .js is also doing something to mess with the images, as a quick css fix for this works during page load but the images disappear after the page is loaded :(
The last remaining issue is the Layerslider icon boxes having a square border. Would appreciate some kind of response on this.
Cheers,

Upgraded both. Issue still exists.
How can you diagnose support issues for IE8 if you don’t have access to the browser? Can’t you get a VM?
Cheers,
JasonDid you try in IE8? It has failed on every PC i’ve tried.
Anyone?
Thanks Peter.
If you have any idea why the images in my first content pane (inside the 3x 1/3 columns) aren’t showing on IE8 please let me know. It has something to do with making them links, if I remove the anchor tag the images come back.
That’s the last remaining issue I found with 2.2+.
Cheers,
JasonPlease understand my position here as your customer. I am trying to run a site here, not update theme CSS after an update breaks core parts of my site. I paid top dollar for a good theme and specifically avoided customising any part of the theme code to avoid this kind of issue.
Why would you need access to my site content to work on an issue with the contact form? It’s in one of the default pages. Also, why you need it to debug an issue with an image being hidden is a little beyond me. Same goes for the layerslider icons.
Which of my issues in the OP are “vauge” and need clarification? Nobody has asked me to clarify anything so far!
If you are adamant that you need site access it will take me a few days to set up a site I am comfortable having a stranger access. Never before in 15 years of IT has a vendor needed login credentials to my site to fix a bug in their code.
Thanks for confirming the CSS fix for issue 2 will be in the next version.
Cheers.
JasonWhy would a menu issue require a login to my site? You can replicate it by copying my top level nav into a test site, using at least one item with a space.
This is a theme bug that has nothing to do with my content.
You still haven’t answered my other questions :-(
One out of four questions has an answer, which is a dirty css hack, and that does not work.
I am a little bit disappointed with the level of support given on this site. All of my threads end in the same way. Maybe I should ask Kriesi on Twitter directly?

Unfortunately that does not work. It appears IE8 adds too much padding or something.
Any ideas on the other items? Haven’t had any suggestions. The form one being the most important, image links not appearing being close behind. The site has a huge blank white panel when viewed on IE8.
Cheers,
JasonHi Peter,
edit: Using the \9 trick in the Quick CSS box somehow strips the \. I had to use \\. It’s now targeting IE8.
Should this hack be necessary in the first place?
What about the other issues I identified?
Cheers,
Jason- This reply was modified 11 years, 2 months ago by Jason. Reason: checked the code
Is that \9 supposed to be in there?
100px is too wide for the other menu items (ie. FAQ) and blows the menu way too wide.
Cheers,
JasonI put the Site URL bold in the first post – tiperdev dot techcore dot com dot au
All caches are cleared and caching plugins deactivated. As I said, the problems occurred in 2.2 also.
Cheers,
JasonWorks perfectly. Thanks heaps.
Can you confirm this will be fixed in the next Enfold release?
Cheers,
JasonThank’s, thats a bit more idiot proof. Unfortunately that didn’t work. In fact, it introduced some other bugs.
Enfold 2.2 is trying to set the width on the image to 296px, but is not setting the height, resulting in the warping. My logo image is 300x91px. Under Enfold v2.1 this scales to 257x78px, because the image scales to the container size (.logo img { width:auto;height:auto; } in base.css).
When scrolling a small amount from the top of the page, the width stays fixed to 296px but the height shrinks, distorting the image massively.
It did fix the logo size changing when resizing the window width above and below 1160px.
tldr;
If you’re going to set the logo size with js, I think you need to set both dimensions, and remove the auto in base.css. Also you need to fix the behavior when scrolling.A question: Should my logo image be smaller?
Cheers,
