I recommend also checking Google speed insight – as the matter of fact, their score is the most important in the seo aspect:
https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=hikepos.com&tab=desktop
and GtMetrix:
https://gtmetrix.com/reports/hikepos.com/c5CdYH3YScores look nice ;) But as you see, there are still some little issues you could brush up.
@mehdi360 amazing work! One thing I would recommend, get rid of font-weight: bold; on links. Look at the image – red arrow is the current state, blue arrow with font-weight: normal; – i think it looks way better, less blurry.

@foggygolf30 compare usability on two pictures (A/B). On a matter of performance I check sites on GTMetrix and Google speed insight. Usually enfold gets cool score, and if you optimize it and turn the cache on + have a good server it can be superb.
You can easily add a scroll down arrow to a fullscreen slider, and what is more you can also add up to two buttons per slide.
If I were you, first I would try it by myself and than ask :)
but If you already did – yes, you can do it this way. It won’t animate.good luck!
@foggygolf30 it’s a fullscreen slider with transparent header as far as I see. Remember, not to put sliders into color sections
@boxseven nice! I would recommend to get rid of font-weight: bold; from the menu. It blurs Montserrat font ;)
@pako69 – that’s what I`m talking!! Superb work. One can clearly see amount of work put into customizing the theme.
Congrats!
Looking on each site posted here, I just have a little advice to you all – don’t stick to the default font. There are milions of fonts in the world, thousands are really good. Get inspiration from the greatest sites and try to combine header/text fonts on your site.
Open Sans is a good font, very safe and convenient. But no one said, you have to use it everywhere. Be creative!
Josue, I also wanted to acomplish something like you did. Your solution looks awesome. In private link I attach what I did – had to make a custom home page that doesn’t use avia builder.
webwex – on screenshot everything looks awesome. did you finished you work? could you show us the result? ;)

September 21, 2015 at 7:31 pm in reply to: Blog Posts displays only excerpt instead of full content #506629Yes, because Excerpt box doesn’t work. When I go into a category posts list, despite I have a content in excerpt box + checked the option in Reading to display Summary, it shows the whole content.

September 18, 2015 at 4:16 pm in reply to: Blog Posts displays only excerpt instead of full content #505635Hello Elliott, thank you for your answer. Speaking of blog shortcode setting you mean this?
It is set to display full content, but on the frontend it shows only excerpt (i have “read more” tag in the post).

So here are my recent works based on enfold:

http://yellowmonday.pl/
http://cash-go.com.pl/
http://ironswim.pl/Ismael, I’m sorry for the overtone. I was just tired of this small annoying issue. In the end, your solution doesn’t solve the problem reason, but what is more important WORKS! Thank you very much and once again, sorry for my tone.
Cheers!
Geeeeeez :/
Again:
The problem is caused by a DIFFERENT width (innerWidth) of browser area. When there is lot of content, there is a scrollbar and obviously the innerWidth is smaller than without scrollbar (in my case with scrollbar 960px, without scrollbar 977px). When switching between categories, the scrollbar appears and disapears and the ABSOLUTE POSITION OF EACH THUMBNAIL is miscalculated because of different widths (960px vs 977px).Please, close this topic :(
p.s. i can connect with you via skype and share my screen to show you what I mean

Andy, after clicking on e-commerce, did you click back to ALL?
Ismael, it really doesn’t matter how many columns it displays. The problem is in the wrapper width, that is different when there is a scrollbar and when there’s not.
Look at this picture, this is my last attempt to show you where is the problem (I even told you, what is the cause, I just would like to have some help with the solution).

If you still can’t see the gap, please close this topic and remove it.
Thanks.
Because i’m still modyfying it. For your testing purpose I have reverted the changes. Please, click on ALL > E-commerce > ALL
Like I already noticed, the problem is probably with innerWidth of the window. With scrollbar it has on my screen 1663px, without 1680px.
When there is no scrollbar, it calculates the width and then fullfill the area with thumbnails. But suddenly scrollbar appears and instead of 1680 it goes 1663. And Instead of absolute position left: 420, should be 415,75 pxWindows 7, each browser.

Thx Elliot, but you missed the main point of my post. I know the scrollbar appears when it is needed, but the problem is the gap between thumbnails. I think it appears because with/without scrollbar working area has different width and there is probably some miscalculation. Look at the picture:
Same situation in Chrome and IE, i found Firefox is even worse, because clicking All > E-commerce (noscrollbar) > All makes 5 instead of 6 column. Just like I mentioned – I think is a matter of calculating the width with/without scrollbar.

Thank you, it works but.. Is there maybe a way to do it in a way that logo doesnt shrink and scrolls. When the window scroll reaches the point of menu, it stays in place. I hope you understand what I’m trying to achieve ;)
Yes, that would be usefull. I was wondering about a specific value in database, which would increase each day by cron. The problem is to retrieve it into that animated number. Some javascript maybe?
I found a partial translation for earlier version of Enfold. Is there a way to merge the old .po/.mo files with the new package? I’m using POedit, but I can’t find the solution.
