    I found out that this happens with the plugin “Simple History” activated. I have another site also with Enfold and Simple History together – where it works fine.
    Does somebody has any ideas?

    Hi Rikard,
    thank you for looking at it. As mentioned before it is plugin page and update page.

    Thanks Rikard,
    you can close this one. I’m fine with how it’s working now.

    I’m not sure Rikard,
    maybe this is a problem of wp-typography, but this is a regular option, so I guess it makes also some sense to use it.
    Maybe it is a problem of wp-typography together with “Recent Posts Widget Extended”, which was not updated for a year. I say that because I only saw the problem within outputs of this widget.

    Kind regards,
    Ralf

    No, I was wrong. The plugin “Recent Posts Widget Extended” is showing the post headers, but the plugin “wp thypography” is the problem that shows these <span…>

    They write on their support site:
    “This plugin breaks post title links. What gives?
    More likely than not, your WordPress theme is using an improper function to set the title attribute of your heading’s link. It is probably using the the_title() function, which delivers the post title after filtering. It should be using the_title_attribute() which delivers the post title before filtering. Change out this function throughout your theme when it is used inside of an HTML tag, and the problem should go away.”

    OK. Here is the solution:
    You have to switch off a feature in wp Typography which is the second at CSS classes: BLOCK LETTERS.

    Problem solved.

    I just found out that this comes from the plugin “Recent Posts Widget Extended”.
    Strange, because it was fine before the Enfold-Update.

    Thanks to anybody.
    You can close this. I will have to go to manual programming or another plugin.

    in reply to: Change subject and text in form autoresponder. #789598

    OK Victoria,
    what I say is: make it good or leave it. The contact form in Enfold is a very simple tool to make up a form. The many questions about it may tell you that this is not perfect. So after using this and invest time into a contact form using Enfold I have to see that I cannot use it.
    I would expect to have an input form where I make up the forms details, to input things like “Subject and text of Autoresponder”. I can do this for the email that I get, but I can’t for the email the customer gets. That’s weird, isn’t it?
    I asked for support because I guessed that there is some kind of hidden feature, which I could use to give these texts to the form. But if there is not such a thing I would have to use things like CF7 to get the goal.
    I hope you understand what I mean.

    No Victoria.
    I have a car in my garage and I use it every day. But for the transportation of a simple bucket I need to buy another car because the seat of my car doesn’t move far enough to put it there.

    Let me explain this in advance. I don’t want to use the possibility inn functions.php because I have a 2 language site. If it is great at one language, the other one is bad.

    Thank you Vinay,
    I did what you suggested but there is always the same feature request some pages earlier, I guess it was page 4.
    So maybe you can kick out my double.
    Kind regards
    Ralf

    OK thanks a lot Yigit.
    Then the only thing left is that scroll orgy at the editor. But I guess you are doing it already after some more people did complain about it.
    Thanks and read you next time.

    @Yigit: thank you, now it’s working – I like the way you do support and maybe this is even the greatest thing about Enfold ;-)

    @beeluckylady
    : thank you for your kind words, the print plugin ist called “Print, PDF & Email by PrintFriendly” . Look here for more information about it.

    My site in online for a while now, this is some industry related CAN-Bus measurement devices page.
    Thanks to the great support here, you helped me out at many points in the process! Now after some work with SEO I am nearly satisfied, but of course it’s only my point of view.
    Your comments are highly appreciated !

    Thank you Mike,
    I tried to switch it off directly in enfold, works perfect.
    Now I puted it in my child theme, using this instructions:

    Also working fine.
    But the question is: what happens when there is an update in the file textblock.php? And I guess there will be some update sooner or later to switch this preview on and off in the backend for instance. Do I have to delete this file in this case or can I just say somehow to comment out these specific line only?

    Thank you for supporting me!

    OK, it is annoying but not a big deal. I use it, so I cannot just switch it off.
    I am sure these guys will find a solution.

    Hehe,
    Layerslider just did an update again (to 6.3) and it shows up in Enfold sites again. Just as in my last post on this issue.

    Hi experts,
    my only problem is, that wordpress shows that there is a plugin update, but there is none. After some searching I found that the layer slider might be the problem. While in Enfold 4.0.4 there is layer slider 6.2.0, there is 6.2.1 or 6.2.2 available from Kreatura. In former version Layer slider only showed inside it’s panel that there is a new version, but now the WordPress-Update-Panel is annoying with this.
    Is there a solution that I did not found?
    Kind regards,
    Ralf

    So I suggest to built a “Layerslider – don’t update – button”, which simply doesn’t look for updates. At my opinion this could be hardcoded into Enfold and would stop screaming WordPress for updates.

    Kind regards,
    Ralf

    Great job! Thank you for the great support!

    in reply to: shrink logo before switching to mobile menu #737599

    Hi Ismael,
    thank you for answering. It is not an issue, more an idea how it should work.

    When I downsize my browser the main menu switches to mobile at 1060px, which I adjusted. If I make the browser smaller and smaller the logo starts to shrink. Thats how it works at the moment.
    My idea was: when the logo would shrink before the menu switches to mobile, the menu could stay in desktop mode on smaller screens.

    So the question is: how can I tell the logo to shrink from a certain screensize downwards?

    in reply to: Get rid of date in Magazine. #698277

    Thank you Andy,
    works perfect.

    Oh my,
    Thank you so much for your help. Sure, the shrinking … I could not imagine that it could be so simple!

    Best regards,
    Ralf

    Hello Vinay,

    Thank you Josue,
    the image is in fact 700×465 … so that’s not the reason.

    The first image I linked below, this is while hovering the last post on this page. The round thing over the image appears as it should.
    The second image is where it fails. The mouse (not showed) is hovering the marked post-image.

    Best regards

    Yes Vinay, it is working now.
    thank you for your professional help!

    Hey Yigit,
    your code cuts out the navigation but brings up this error

    Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /www/htdocs/w0148105/gemac-fieldbus.com/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions-enfold.php on line 406

    I tried it the way metioned above and this works.

    in reply to: getting rid of buttons to next or previous article #647277

    Thank you!
    I guess this might work perfect with portfolio items.
    I could figure out that I have to modify this to the following:

    function no_post_nav($entries)
    {
        if(get_post_type() == 'post') $entries = array();
        return $entries;
    }

    add_filter('avia_post_nav_entries','no_post_nav');

    wich works fine.
    Thank you very much!
