Hi Mike
The PHP has been upgraded and the Enfold update is working fine now. Many thanks for your help.
Peter
Hi Mike
I have asked the webhost to upgrade PHP and I’m waiting for a response. Thanks
Peter
Hi Victoria
It should be working now – there was an unrelated problem with the server.
many thanks

I’ve set up login details attached below. The page and LayerSlider are both called icon test.
Thanks for looking into this.

There are two links to egs below. The first with the Enfold included LayerSlider and the second using LayerSlider as an external plugin. When you rerfresh the pages you should see the difference.

I don’t think the problem can be with LayerSlider itself. I have used the latest version of LayerSlider on a different theme (Twenty Seventeen) and the icons work fine, i.e. they don’t disappear on refresh. As I mentioned, I tried turning off the Enfold included LayerSlider (with add_theme_support(‘deactivate_layerslider’); in the functions.php) and uploading and installing LayerSlider as a plugin and the icons work fine with Enfold then. So it is only when using LayerSlider included in the theme that there is a problem with the icons.
many thanks

I had the same problem. However, I also bought the premier version of the LayerSlider and have the Enfold version disabled. In that case the icons do not disappear on refresh.Hi Rikard
Yes, that did it. To lose the padding at the top I also added:
.html_header_transparency #top .avia-builder-el-0 .container {
padding-top: 0!important;
}Thanks for you help, great as usual. I know it has been mentioned before and it’s down to the LayerSlider people but it would be great if the premium version could be bundled into the Enfold theme. Maybe Enfold could have a premium version with it included.
many thanks
Peter
Hi
I’ve just noticed something now I’m using the independent premium LayerSlider. When I use the Enfold pre loaded SliderLayer with an imported template the slides have no border, which is great. But when I use the premium SliderLayer with the same imported template, but with the shortcode put in a Code Block element, the slider appears with a border around it. The same thing happens with all the LayerSlider templates. You can see in the links below.many thanks
Peter
Hi Rikard
Thanks, that is working fine. I assume that future updates of Enfold won’t reinstall the non-premium LayerSlider?many thanks
Peter
Hi Victoria
The access details are below.
I’m not sure on the PHP version, I will check.
many thanks
Peter
Hi Nikko
That works perfectly. Great support as ever.
many thanks
Peter
Hi Nikko
Thanks, that works perfectly. For a mobile version I want to hide this section and have a section with just one column of boxes but again all joined with 1px borders. I have tried putting a mobile section to the previous page link but the columns don’t join and if they did they would be double width.many thanks
Peter
Hi Yigit
That’s great, many thanks.

Hi Yigit
I found the problem. I just realised that I had not created a menu and applied it as the Enfold Main Menu, so WordPress was just creating a default menu from all the pages. The thread can be closed.
Thanks for your help and a great update too – the screen options are a real step forward.Peter
Hi Yigit
Ok, I’ll try that a bit later and see if that works.
many thanks
Peter
Thanks Yigit, login details below.
Peter
Hi Yigit
I tried that and deactivated all plugins, have nothing in Quick CSS and there is nothing in the Chile theme at all but it is hasn’t made any difference.
many thanks
Peter
Hi Rikard
The topic is closed for me.
many thanks
PeterHi Victoria
That works fine. It works when the titles change too.
many thanksPeter
Hi Mike
Here is an example in the link below. This is a fullscreen slider with autorotation where all three slides have the same title and caption. As you see, the title and caption fades in and out as each slide changes.
many thanks
Peter
Hi Mike
Thanks, I should have thought of that. The only problem is though that the caption fades in and out with each slide. Is it possible to stop that animation so that the title and caption stay static as the slides change behind?
many thanks

June 5, 2017 at 11:09 pm in reply to: Trying to Add JS Particles Background via Enfold theme #804211Hi
It seems to be working now – I just deleted the files and uploaded them again and it’s working now. Sorry to have and bothered you and thanks again for the original post.
Peter
Hi Two Trees
Thanks so much that. I followed your instructions and it all worked brilliantly except that the particles effect does not appear as background to the color action but as an element, i.e. other content in the section does not appear over the top but before it. Any advice on what I’m doing wrong would be much appreciated.
Peter
Many thanks Ismael, that is working well.
PeterHi Basilis
I can’t see how that can be done – i.e. having only the top of the color section visible a toggle button that opens the color section fully.
Using the Accordion element, as Jordan suggests, does something similar but it doesn’t go full width and you can’t change the background colour of each accordion element.Peter
