thanks for trying – this isn’t quite what I need though – I want the logo to remain in it’s original size – to be Large – it’s 500 x 472 px. But I want the header to stay small (100 px height) – so the logo should have no top margin, no space above it, should hit right at top of header and then remaining 372 px in height overlaps whatever is below it.

On the new site, it tries to work — the logo flashes large when you open the site, then goes back to squeezing into the 100px header – it’s fast but you’ll see it

Okay, I’ve updated to the latest version via FTP, now it says Enfold version 3.2.3…

However, just so you know, it still doesn’t work with new WP Version 4.3 – still have to use the workaround, changing the wp-config file to debug false; I tried it.

I’m now entirely sure, however, that it is Enfold that is the problem, although WordPress is saying that it is ??

Enfold is updated to the latest version already…. here’s what WordPress is saying:

Here’s what’s going on: that message is because the theme needs to be updated. BUT you are only seeing that message because of those lines.

A temporary work around would be to set those to false. The warning will still be there but you wont see it. You still want the theme author to fix it but not having that displayed will buy you time till that happens.

I’ve done the temporary work around, and now the site is okay… do you guys have another update that I don’t have?

The Advanced Layer Builder works on other sites… I’ve used it, it even gives you the option to add excerpts in the element… used on other sites and works great, just saying.

On this site, it doesn’t work either way, with default editor or with Advanced Layer Builder – so there is something wrong – I had no option but to add custom excerpts for them to show, but I promise you it works on other sites using Enfold – the one I showed you – nacweconnect.com – I am using the Advanced Layout Builder – all of the same settings – and it works awesome – so their is definitely a problem with this other site, I just can’t figure it out.

Okay, I need the Blog to place an automatic excerpt, taken from the Post, which it’s not doing.

There must be something I am missing – I have used Enfold many times and i know it does this, but it won’t seem to on this particular site, the one you placed the custom excerpt in: http://new.ganderconsulting.com/articles/

I feel like a total dummy: this always works! Help, there must be a simple answer :)

Okay, I got it working, it seems that maybe this is case sensitive; I changed all color sections to have no caps and it’s working now. Either that or you waved your magic wand over it :)
