August 14, 2021 at 12:12 pm in reply to: Non intuitive "solution" to elements not showing that is a bit annoying #1316737
Here the front page when logged in: All the marked elements are missing in the frontend until “fixed”.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EhjeLB1GLb4vClsN6rBB9caaxi6mjoDc/view?usp=sharing
Nothing was changed, just rolled out your update. And the wordpress update of course.
What’s wrong there? How can I fix this?Solved.
If the “No duplicate posts on this page”-function is activated within the element, it seems only the first responsive variant in code is being displayed, which in some cases (depending on the responsiveness settings and the order of elements in code) means it is not displayed at all.

I will keep it like this for the time being, Rikard.
Though it is not really solved. Question remains why it behaves like that, so I can work around it in general.Anyways… thanks for the support! :)
Danke Guenni. Keep it up!
Aber ich hab’ dann – obwohl Dein Alphabet für mich gepasst hat . was anderes ausprobiert. Sind einige Enfold-Sachen derzeit und ich hab’s bisschen eilig.Whoever stumbles upon this:
I was lazy further wordpressing the issue.
Since just an inline javascript was affected I flipped strategy to just putting the crap in CData-Tags. Like in the good old times.
Solved.PS Of course this will strike back on me asap. and I will tumble back in here to this still quite unresolved thing :D
Guenni, alter Held!
Thanks for the quick reply. Just tried it – the child-theme version, but to no avail.Funny: My Hoster, Domainfactory, just decided to have some sort of global caching turned on. So with their crap in place I now do not know if your code fails or my attempts to overrule their moronic directives. Waiting for their reply now.
I’ll keep you posted. Is there any news about that? Since I am experiencing the same issue right now…
(like “some Enfold updates later” :) )October 27, 2020 at 3:24 pm in reply to: Special Heading only loaded when "All Elements" have to be loaded #1256102Anyway… how can it be that in logged in mode there is an element ON THIS PAGE declared as “not shown” depending on the setting in “performance”, when there is the setting “only used elements”?
The warning can only be there because it IS used and the setting is exactly right?
Smells like a logic error somewhere, or a collision of some sort in the code.
Please fix it.October 27, 2020 at 3:19 pm in reply to: Special Heading only loaded when "All Elements" have to be loaded #1256100Update: It did not work. Client informed me, that the Masonry Gallery was held back on another page, I had to activate it by saving the page once again. Like I will have to do on every single other page in this project now, Like a moron with too much spare time.
If the client finds another missing element, it will be embarrassing for me, if they find more, my competence is at question.Heartfelt thanks for this task.
:-/
Just FIY: I have around 10 clients with enfold, plus my own projects, which for the time being can not trust to roll out as planned. Splendid.
October 26, 2020 at 2:31 pm in reply to: Special Heading only loaded when "All Elements" have to be loaded #1255718Been there.
Done that.
No obvious problems, may that stay this way!
(It usually does with enfold, don’t worry :))Grateful greetings and see you around!
ErikOctober 24, 2020 at 1:44 pm in reply to: Special Heading only loaded when "All Elements" have to be loaded #1255415Yay!
So this will solve my problem site wide without digging through everything by hand?
And you would have one “not-so-expensive” fix in the changelog?
Could all of it turn out THIS good?:D
Thanksalot!
ErikOctober 22, 2020 at 10:16 am in reply to: Special Heading only loaded when "All Elements" have to be loaded #1254901Update:
Checked some pages, it is like I said. Elements are missing and I have to update the pages and posts so the elements appear.
This is a very much unwanted behaviour that I would describe as most annoying. Is there a way to ‘just update’ all posts?
October 22, 2020 at 9:40 am in reply to: Special Heading only loaded when "All Elements" have to be loaded #1254884Okay, so it stays mysterious for now, since the bespoken front page did not change in months, just the Enfold version did. It needed some “kicking” :D
My rather general view on this is due to the fact that my projects use many of the sparkly Enfold elements also on very sub pages that I will now have to check. Otherwise the elements on these pages would be just “gone” when switching to only needed and destroy layout and usability of the articles.
Nevertheless: front page symptom is cured now. That’s what this was about.
So thank you!
October 20, 2020 at 12:14 pm in reply to: Special Heading only loaded when "All Elements" have to be loaded #1254328For the time being the project is not cached in any way.
I tried it with JS and CSS minified and without, that did not solve the problem.
As soon as “Only needed elements” was chosen, the special heading disappeared from the front page.(Sort of) following your recommendation I duplicated the item an reloaded. Then both stayed visible when switching to “only needed elements”.
So I discarded the copied element, switched to “only needed” again and it finally worked as expected.Nothing else was changed: No plugin mumbo jumbo, no updates.
Hope it helps!
ErikOctober 19, 2020 at 1:44 pm in reply to: Special Heading only loaded when "All Elements" have to be loaded #1253959Hey Ismael and thanks for getting back on this.
Please take my question in this way: It did not not work simply. :)Since my problem is solved now by duplicating the element, saving the page and then switching the setting until it worked, you could investigate this further so that the function is provided as described ;)
Best regards
ErikAugust 22, 2020 at 12:14 am in reply to: Solved: Problems with Manitu Webhosting – Enfold by zip-file? #1239900All good and solved on me side of the problem. Feel free to add on the subject! Or close the topic :)
August 20, 2020 at 3:22 pm in reply to: Solved: Problems with Manitu Webhosting – Enfold by zip-file? #1239556When you write it down, things get more clear… I remembered that the first install via FTP is not, as stated above, mandatory. It’s just that I always do it that way :D
So here’s my solution fot the user rights crap at Manitu, just in case you installed it via FTP the first time:You have to use FTP just once more.
Get the latest Version of Enfold – just the installable files – from Themeforest. The solution is for a setup like mine, your mileage may vary. It assumes you use a child theme, anyway.
1. When Enfold notifies you about an update log into your webspace via FTP.
2. Rename the Enfold folder in /wp-content/themes/ to something else.
3. Go to themes in wordpress’ backend (Design -> Themes)
4. Click add theme, then upload the zip file from themeforest. Since you use a child theme and that refers to the folder “enfold” all should be fine. Without renaming the folder there would be a rights collision again.
5. Back in your FTP client delete the renamed Enfold folder. From then on all should be good and as you know it.
Hey Mike,
thanks for the revision!
Though your code looks great I had to pass on the whole project for which it was needed.
Anyway I’ll keep the ressource, plus it also might help others.I would have worked it out using classes, yes. But not this time :)
You guys rock.
ErikThank you for the answer and sorry for not trying it out first, but wouldn’t your code just move the existing button to the lower end instead of creating a second one? In this case I am working on a one pager with several popups. Your code would apply the cusomization in general, which is not preferred.
So, could there a second button purposely placed on the popup bottom?
Or some workaround, which is visually appealing?Well, Rikard,
let’s see how it goes. Envato surely is bigger, thus rather immune against those hippie ideas like mine.
No answer yet from support and like I urge to join their forums. It’s a massacre.
When rage get’s me again I’ll even grab that straw. So thanks again for the patience and deescalation.
Meanwhile let’s build something beautiful with Enfold. It’s calming (in most cases :D)Erik
I made my point there, too. Albeit not publicly. So let’s see. And now I have to reset all licenses again to stay moving inside legal bounds. It’s a pain. :-/
Sorry for any unearned blame. In my naive phantasies there are more people “selling” Enfold over and over again, so this should be solved long time ago. NOT using post-it’s in the office or text files.
Best regards
ErikHm. Just like I do with my collection of telephone numbers and e-mail adresses? Seems like I’ll have to consider that.
So this is actually just poorly implemented and I have to be sorry for not more than my cynicism.
Thanks for bearing it, anyway. And still please do better. I set a token name when creating it. Since the token itself is not shown on Envato’s list-of-tokens-page, it would be helpful to at least show the token name in the Enfold control panel.
Erik
Nothing more to be done here, I think.
Thank you. So let’s get more specific.
I know this page since I used it many times already. In the end I have to guide my clients through this. And to check if I already made the transition from my “working-license” to their own is easy: They either have MY account name on the token or their own. BUT I have for the time being 5 licenses for Enfold and had the feeling I need one more for a new project. The ~20th website in general, the 5th? with enfold? Or the 6th? Hm. Of course it is my themeforest-username all the time in the Enfold control panel. Plus the token itself. BUT the is no “foreign” or “shared” key in the list AND in the control Panel. There is just a way to set it but I see no way to check it against each other.
Yesterday I stumbled upon a client project which I obviously not changed the key to his own yet. (Sorry.) So it is still mine (and it says something about ‘old’ in the control panel. What makes it old? What does this mean? How do I see that in the token list?) and I do not know which it is in the list. How do I find out? Obiously I juggle around with the licenses and up to a certain point just the amount of used licenses has to be correct.
But now I want to be sure of those things before I talk to the client.Still I am prepared to realise this all is due to me not seeing something or not being intelligent enough in general.
And still there may be more people like me that do not get their stuff together in this regard.
Please help.
Better.Perfect, thank you.
Best regards,
ErikHey Mike,
workflow for translations of GDPR-functions is still as unterirdisch as it was when you posted your inquiry. For me it is the “enable this function in your browser”-message, when entering the analytics-part of cookie consent and havin the tracking off in the browser. This has to be in German, as everything else has to be.
Since you seem to be in possession of the .po-files to upload: could you pass them on to me and maybe some other users of the enfold theme, too? Just 15 projects to be updated here btw, so it should be a walk in the park. :-/
Thanks in advance!Erik

Hey Rikard.
As I put it, there’s nothing to answer. Which is the problem, in fact.
Nevermind. So the task to solve this on your side seems to be brutally hard and time consuming. But “No news” in more than two years now? I switched the customer that doubted my efforts in really maintaining his web project to Total theme meanwhile, so no more dubious explanations needed there. Still, the stain remains.
My clients can not see me actually doing my job in most cases, they just see the results. In this regard a persistent update alert is smelly enough by itself, my inability to fix it without supressing a legitimate update notifocation does not make it better. Your workarounds are not on the professional side, so to speak. Please excuse my bluntness.
Please do better. So let’s close it.
Okay.
It was quite a pain to figure out how to do it, but I resolved it.
For all others with the same issue:Pass on the individual css-class “noLightbox” onto your elements or respective parent elements.
Then add a code block somewhere in your page:<script type="text/javascript"> jQuery(document).ready ( jQuery(function() { jQuery('.noLightbox > a').addClass('noLightbox no-lightbox').removeClass('lightbox-added'); })); </script>
LightBox functionality will be disabled for links (‘a’) inside (‘>’) these DOM elements (‘noLightbox’).
The links will be opened in the current browser tab instead, except you did set the target differently.Hey Victoria.
So if I got it right this happens primarily in the context of Enfold rather than the context of the site. I would like to avoid vandalizing the other jpg-/png-links of the web project just to have some unaltered links on one page. If somehow possible.
Do you have a suggestion for that?Best regards
ErikHey Rikard.
I want the original file to be opened in a new tab just the way the browser handles that.
The purpose is to provide the most direct way to download this respective file unaltered by other technologies. -
