Hi Victoria,
I’m not sure if Mike was able to do it, or that it just took time (might’ve been cached, but i cleared mine and i don’t have a caching plugin atm) and at the time this was posted, it was not working properly.
It has since fixed itself? I’m not sure what caused it to work but it’s working now!
Essentially it was being treated as a regular page when scrolling.
Can close this, although idk what the fix was.
Thanks
I don’t believe i have any caching elements.
Unless they are hidden somewhere?
See below
Hey Mike,
This is almost exactly what I want, I had tried this (after posting this message) but i’m not getting the same effect as the url linked earlier. I’ve tried Fixed, Scroll, & Parallax and all seem to be the same =/
Take a look below to see example. I have color section, set to 50% height and parallax
So i may have found a to achieve this, just incase someone stumbles across this
Make sure you have the custom CSS field enabled in ALB and add a class name to the element.
Then in the quick css add the following: (change the url to where ever your img is hosted at)
.your-custom-class .image-overlay.overlay-type-extern .image-overlay-inside:before { content: ''; background-image: url(https://kriesi.at/wp-content/themes/kriesi/images/logo.png); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-size: contain; background-position: 50% 50%; }
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/custom-image-overlay-on-images/
Unless there is a better or more efficient way to do this, you can close this ticket. :)

Hey jordan,
For these i just used the default editor.
I will update them with the ALB, but why is it showing the dates if text has been entered? Is this not a bug?
Again if i take away the text i put in post – “SAMPLE POST NUMERO 3” then the date dissapears from the grid layout, BUT if i have anything in the text it shows the dates for the OTHER posts regardless if they have content or not.

Hey Jordan,
Yep thought i included that screenshot but:
The strange thing is if i add text to different posts the date appears.
please see below for info
Hi Rikard,
That fixed it, but i have a follow up question.
Is it possible to have the section load without the entire page having to load? Kinda like how the tab section “load” when you click on the different sections.
Hi Rikard,
Please see below
Thanks!
Hye Jordan,
Sorry for the delayed response.
This works partially, it shows the icon, but it’s changing all the icons to white. The inactive icons are set to be black, but the css is overriding it i believe.
***EDIT***
So i just re-looked at the css, and noticed it was backwards, just changed it to 000 instead of fff, and now it’s working as i wanted! Thanks Jordan!!

Hi John,
I’ll reach out to them, but this doesn’t make sense. Maybe you can shed some light on it?
The max file size in my media library is currently 32mb:
and the file i’m trying to upload is 571kb:
and yet i’m still getting the error?***Edit***
So i was able to upload images, but not my logo.jpg? other jpgs and pngs i can load no problem. What?***Edit 2*** Final Edit
So i think i figured out my issue after spending a couple hours on it…..it wasn’t liking this one jpg’s as mentioned above it would upload other jpgs and pngs.I brought my image into photoshop and noticed it was set to CMYK, switched the mode to RGB, saved as jpg, reuploaded and BOOM it now takes it….
So can close this topic, hopyfully the above helps others!

oh wow, i was overthinking this by about 100! Lol completely forgot that option was there!
thanks John!
ok no worries, thanks jordan!
Basically its the entire right side of the page, we have a left sidebar then the rest of the page, trying to get the right side of the page
Hey Jordan,
That’s really close, but i need it to target the entire right side of the page
i was able to get the entire side using
main.content.units.av-content-small.av-blog-meta-comments-disabled.av-blog-meta-category-disabled.av-blog-meta-date-disabled.av-blog-meta-html-info-disabled.av-blog-meta-tag-disabled
but it leaves a little section on the far right, and i’m not sure if the above will target every post

In regards to the category, are you wanting to display certain categories on a specific page? If so i was able to achieve this using this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/list-category-posts/ and modifying it with some CSS to what i needed :)
Hope that helps, as for the iframe, this may work, but untested since i can’t see your site (assuming you put the link in the private section, cant see that)
@media screen and (min-width: 320px) { iframe { display:none; }}
You should set min-width to value of width of devices/mobiles you want to hide iframe in.
Note that you can have multiple media queries for different screen sizes.

Gotcha, no worries, can you just section it off in the Quick css section, i have some stuff in there presently for this section i’m going to comment out to see your effects.
Hey Jordan,
Actually can you post i, i would like to see if it’s different then what I already have setup.
thanks!
Actually i’m running into an issue, i want to replicate the CSS of the left table and add that to the right categories section. Is there a quick css i can add for this?
example page down below, you’ll see the left section has white BG, padding, and a grey border-bottom. That’s what i’m trying to replicate if possible to the right side.
Hey Jordan,
The plugin, didn’t work for me (was untested with my version of WP, and last updated ~7months ago) but i did get it working with this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/list-category-posts/
Howdy Yigit,
So i added the code, but it wasn’t affecting the correct area, i think you missunderstood me, but it’s I saw the error and corrected it and it’s what i wanted for the top stories section (#1) you code was affecting the BG of the categories section. Upon re-reading my initial question I def worded it wrong, my apologies!
Will look into the plugin you posted, thankyou all!
I’ve already semi sorta #1, i’m sure there’s a better way of doing it?
but by all means please let me know if there’s a better way then what i added!
Looking more so how to do #2 above
Can you send a link to your site, I could be wrong but i believe you can change the title on the Widgets page.
Appearance > Widgets…..find where you have the info being pulled from. I think it’s being pulled from the “Sidebar Blog” widget, but again just guessing since i’m not looking at your site :)
I’m not sure about the specific category, i know you can limit what’s shown when using the blog post element in the avia builder.
Hey Yigit,
This is exactly what i was after.
Thankyou!!
April 4, 2017 at 9:03 pm in reply to: remove blog featured image on specific blog posts element #771975Nevermind, i was able to do exactly what i wanted without modifying anything. Can close this.
If anyone comes across this, i made mine work by using the WIDGET AREA element then creating a new sidebar and added a RECENT POSTS widget
Hi Yigit,
This is partially what I want to do, i’m already able to change the text to the icon as mentioned in my original post, but what I was more after is when the nav sticks to the top, that’s when the text changes to the icons.
Is this possible with CSS or do i need to manipulate with Jquery/JS?
If possible with CSS, what do i need to target?
Thanks,
Seeing if there is any update to this?
Also is it possible to manipulate the text to change to the icon when the header “sticks” via the CSS?
Hi Basilis,
yep that’s what i’m wanting to do :)
I know there has been alot of posts/questions so things get backlogged, but bumping this to get an update if possible
