  • in reply to: WordPress Backend – poor performance due to LayerSlider #1369147

    Hi Yigit,
awesome – I tried it in a test-instance and it is working. :) No performance-issues anymore in that backend of my test-instance.Thank you. :)
When will this beta-version be available “officially”?
Thinking about if it is worth to install that beta also in my productive environment or waiting until it is coming with an official update.
But with that you can close my issue – and depending on your answer I will wait for the update or install the beta also on my productive website.
Thanks a lot again for your great support.
    Best regards,
    Oliver

    Hey guys,
I got exactly the same issue – which is caused by the connection to Layerslider.
    See post:
    https://kriesi.at/support/topic/wordpress-backend-poor-performance

In that post I am with Ismael in clarification how to solve that.
But I am glad to see that I am not the only one with that issue. ;)
    Hope we‘ll find a solution.
    Best regards,
    Oliver

    Hello Ismael,
I just had a call with my provider “STRATO” but unfortunatley they told me that from their side is nothing blocked – so that they can not allow that domain on any whitelist.
They told me that it might be a possibility to ask you or Layerslider / Kreaturmedia to provide an TXT-record which I could use for verification – do you know that possibility?
I am wondering if I am the only one with this problem… Could you maybe ask LayerSlider-Team / Kreaturmedia if they know that issue?

By the way: For test-reasons I tried on the same server to install another clean WordPress-Instance with only Enfold – and facing exactly the same issue there.

Thank you for further support with that.
    Kind regards,
    Oliver

PS: If needed you can forward the credentials of my Admin-access also to Layerslider-team.

OK… Thank you. So the Backend / Dashboard is fast and feels good for me.
Anyway – there are still the same 2 PHP-Errors in the query-monitor from my post above.
Will you have a look on that too or close the issue as the performance is ok now?
    Kind regards,
    Oliver

in reply to: WordPress Backend – poor performance due to LayerSlider #1368568

    Hi Ismael,
no – it is not running on a Shared Server – indeed on the well-established hosting-provider “STRATO”.
Do I have any disadvantages with your tweak of disabling Layerslider-data-updates?
And by the way: I still see a PHP-error from LayerSlider – see error message below.
But the backend-page has now a good / acceptable loading-speed of 1-3 seconds per click. So thanks for that. :)
Anyway, the fact that you disabled something and the PHP-error in the query-monitor causes a little worried feeling… Do you think this can cause trouble in any future updates?
    Best regards,
    Oliver

    ———————————-
    PHP-Error in Query Monitor:

Trying to access array offset on value of type null 2

    Hello Ismael,
thank you – but I am actually using the LayerSlider on my Website – therefore I can not disable it, unfortunatley.
Can you help me with retreiving the data from LayerSlider / Kreatura-Media?
    Kind regards,
    Oliver

in reply to: WordPress Backend – poor performance due to LayerSlider #1368264

    An Update from me:
If I deactivate LayerSlider in the Theme-Options then the Backend is running fast again (changing from a loading-time of 15 seconds to 3 seconds)
So it is obviously something related with LayerSlider – as the Log-Messages from “Query-Monitor” says and as this test is proving.
    Thanks for any update.
    Best regards,
    Oliver

in reply to: Dynamic height of iFrame to 100% #1367176

    Hi Mike,
    Thanks for checking that…
I will anyway bring both sites on one domain in a few weeks after the development-phase – therefore I will not go the way to my provider now to allow COR.
So then I would suggest you can close this for now – and I will check your script in a few weeks when both sites are running under same domain.
So thank you very much for your hint.
    Have a great weekend,
    Oliver

in reply to: Dynamic height of iFrame to 100% #1367155

    Hi Mike,
thank you – unfortunatley that code did not work in my case.
The iframed content is on my domain – not on the same sub-domain (“Neueseite.LSC-Berlin.de”) – but same main-domain (“LSC-Berlin.de”). And I also don’t get any errors – but it shows me the iframe in a height of maybe only 100 pixel and then it is cut off. See my Test-IFRAME-PAge from above – which contains now a code-block with your code.
I would be happy if you could assist further.
In private you wil find the Login to the page.
    Thanks a lot.
    Best regards,
    Oliver

    Hi Yigit,
awesome – thanks for your effort.:) :)
It doesn’t matter that it’s not a quick solution… Anyway a solution in near future is better than no solution ;)
Can you confirm that I can delete the login-credentials for that support-issue?
Thanks a lot and kind regards,
    Oliver

in reply to: LayerSlider – issue on Android with Layer-width #1365803

    Hello Yigit,
unfortunatley that did not help… in fact it was already by default set to that HTML-setting.
    Following details to my device:
    Samsung Galaxy A53 5G
    Android 12 (Version: A536BXXU3AVGA
    Firefox 104.2.0
In general I keep all software up to date.

I think Mike had the same issue with his Galaxy + Android, that the Layerslider on my page and also on the Enfold 2007-demo looks broken. If needed maybe you can also aks for MIkes device-details.

Thanks for further clarifications with the Layerslider-Support and please let me know if you need any more details or tests by me.

    Best regards,
    Oliver

in reply to: LayerSlider – issue on Android with Layer-width #1365290

    Thanks for your answer, Mike.
True…. I also had that issue only in Firefox for Android. (Even Firefox on iOS is working fine)
I just wanted to place a Ticket at LayerSlider… but they are saying:
If you’ve received one of our products bundled in your theme, then product support and updates are handled by the theme author.
So I am not able to create a Ticket without having purchased a license. Could you inform the LayerSlider-Support about that issue?
    Thank you,
    Best regards, Oliver
