Hi,
The url is: http://cormack.digitalessence.net/
Scroll down to latest news and you will see I’m using a blog grid with 3 posts. None of them have featured images so are picking up the pencil icon. I’m then using that css to replace it with an image but would prefer to use a different Fontello icon.
Hi Rikard,
details added.
Thanks
Hi Yigit,
the entity code keeps on reverting to > when I update other elements on the page and save.
Hi Yigit,
Thanks, that fixes the issue.
June 9, 2016 at 5:01 pm in reply to: HOW DO I: center the menu with the logo left in full width layout #645564Thanks Yigit,
I was originally using the Logo Left, Menu below option to get the logo and widget to display ranged fully left and right but have since moved to the logo centered, menu below. Is it possible to have the logo fully at the left of the browser window and likewise, the widget fully right? We really don’t like it but the client wants it this way.
Thanks,
Hedley
Hi Yigit,
I meant will this fix (code you supplied) be added to a future patch/release of Enfold?
It’s just I see the current way it works as being back to front. Right is forward, left is back. I think this is normal UX?
Hedley
Hi,
that’s sorted it thanks.
I take it this will make its way into a future update?
Thanks,
Hedley
Hi,
do you have the Wordfence Security plugin installed? If so, try disabling that and trying again.
There is another thread open about this: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/avia-layout-text-block-error-632390/
Just commenting so I get an update when the issue is resolved as I’m also seeing this.
April 30, 2016 at 12:19 pm in reply to: HOWTO: Add divs to the header – My code doesn't work after update #624955Ok, the change from 40px to -120px was becasue I was using hte Chrome Web Developer extension. Once I’d placed the css in the stle.css file, the original 40px value worked.
April 30, 2016 at 12:15 pm in reply to: HOWTO: Add divs to the header – My code doesn't work after update #624953Thanks Josue,
I had to change the top: from 40px to -120px but that has worked perfectly.
Any idea why I can no longer add this via the /includes/helper-main-menu.php like what I did in the “olden days”?
thanks,
Hedley
April 27, 2016 at 5:02 pm in reply to: HOWTO: Add divs to the header – My code doesn't work after update #623232Thanks for the guide on adding a widget. I’ve tried this but like adding the content to the helper file, the widget is sitting before the logo and when I try to move it down using padding or margin it just pushes the logo further down.
April 27, 2016 at 10:16 am in reply to: HOWTO: Add divs to the header – My code doesn't work after update #622888That’s odd. The image I uploaded to imgur isn’t embedding correctly.

April 27, 2016 at 10:15 am in reply to: HOWTO: Add divs to the header – My code doesn't work after update #622887Hi, I’ve created a user for you with the details below.
What I’m trying to achieve is this:
I used to do this by editing the helper-main-menu.php but am now struggling post update.
March 15, 2016 at 6:18 pm in reply to: HOWTO: Add code (html, css, php) to the contents of a blog post #598532Hi,
I tried that plugin but it didn’t work and seemed to enclose all of the content in the styling. I don’t have time to investigate further so will leave it for now.
Thanks though.
February 22, 2016 at 5:30 pm in reply to: How do I remove grey shrinking circle before preloader spinner? #587314Hi Vinnie,
sorry to take so long to reply.
I tried the code: #top .av-siteloader {display: none!important;} but this just disables the spinner completely.
I’m trying to stop the small spinner that I see before the larger spinner circle appears. The video I posted above shows what I mean.
Thanks,
Hedley
Ah, I can’t see the private content as I’m not Enfold staff. So you will need to paste it in the normal reply.
Do you have a link to the site I can look at?
And do you use the Web Developer plugin for Firefox or Chrome? Use that, switch to view source to find the name of the element and then you can play around with the live CSS edit to test your selector.
Hi,
try using:
@media only screen and (max-width: XXXpx) {
.inner-container .logo {display:none!important;}
}Where XXX is the pixel size where you no longer want the logo to display.
February 19, 2016 at 4:17 pm in reply to: How do I remove grey shrinking circle before preloader spinner? #586145Hi Vinnie,
thanks for looking into this for me.
I see that the shrinking grey circle has now gone but it’s introduced another issue.
As before, this is only visible when switching between pages as opposed to reloading a page. This time I see a smaller spinner which then jumps to the normal sized one.
I’ve created another video and slowed it down by 50% to illustrate: http://www.screencast.com/t/Xr3XyCBrBJIX
February 18, 2016 at 7:02 pm in reply to: How do I remove grey shrinking circle before preloader spinner? #585591Hi Vinnie,
I’m glad you can reproduce the issue. That’s great news.
I’ve already disabled all plugins and tested but you are welcome to do the same and whatever else is required to test/resolve.
I’ve put the user details in the Private area.
February 18, 2016 at 12:03 pm in reply to: How do I remove grey shrinking circle before preloader spinner? #585320Hi Yigit,
I’m using Chrome, IE & Firefox on both Win 7 Pro 64bit and Windows Server 2008 R2
And also Safari on the iPad.
The 2008 machine is not on my network and is being accessed via remote desktop software so that rules out my router/network or anything else I can think of causing this.
I’ve also tested this over 4G on my iPhone and am seeing the same issue. (only did this as we once saw O2 data mangling some of our scripts and we had to move to https to stop the problem. Same thing happened to Transport For London but O2 listened to them but not too us. Funny that).
Anyway, if I can provide any more test info please say. Suffice to say I can see this on all devices on all networks and all browsers.
thanks,
Hedley
Hi,
Can you provide a URL so we can see what you mean.
Also where does it link to?
thanks,
Hedley Phillips
February 6, 2016 at 2:20 pm in reply to: Blog Posts – Can't replicate demo layout unless I add a sidebar #579004February 4, 2016 at 7:25 pm in reply to: Contact Form FROM address is that of WordPress settings not who sent the form #578002Hi,
thanks for your reply. I’ve done some more testing and this isn’t the case. The default behaviour is that if you press reply to an email sent via a contact form the address is that entered by the person into the form. Not the main WordPress settings address.
I’ve just tested this with a new install. Copied over the theme – the form worked as expected. Copied over all of the plugins, it still worked. but when exported the database and imported it into my site the form started coming from the WordPress admin email.
There’s something in the database causing this but heaven knows what.
February 3, 2016 at 7:07 pm in reply to: How do I disable WordPress/Enfold Lightbox but retain plugins lightbox effect? #577270Brilliant, thank you.
That’s all sorted. I’ll add this to my Gist as well in case I need it in the future.
February 3, 2016 at 6:42 pm in reply to: How do I disable WordPress/Enfold Lightbox but retain plugins lightbox effect? #577254Hi Yigit,
Thanks for your reply.
that would disable it for the entire site whereas we will require that feature outwith the portfolio page.
Is there a way to target just this page?
Brilliant, thanks.
All sorted.
Hi,
we are also seeing this on ours and customers sites. This is new behaviour.
When the user fills out the Contact form, the FROM address is the one set in: Settings General > Email Address and not as entered by the user in the Email field.
I’ve created a new user for you and provided the details
Thanks.
January 22, 2016 at 10:03 am in reply to: HAVE I DONE CORRECTLY: Make x column layout sit at full width of content width #569861There is a better way.(for anyone else wanting full width contents without left and right padding).
Rather than using the global selector, if you target the .container instead then it removes the container padding and doesn’t strip everything.
So:
I create a colour section and give it an ID then
#colour-section .container {padding-left:0px!important; padding-right:0px!important; margin-left:0px!important; margin-right:0px!important;}
You can close this ticket. It’s really just for anyone else searching for the same thing.
Many thanks,
Hedley
