Hey!
Unfortunately the only way to upgrade would be to move your changes to a child theme and then run the child on top of the regular theme or by re-applying your changes after each update.

Go ahead and update to 2.4 which was released last night. The theme now has an option to show or hide sidebars on mobile from the theme options.

DevinGlad we could help. Let us know if you have any other questions or issues.
Hey swissfilm!
Can we take a look at an example on your site? As far as I know there was no change to the button shortcodes.
Cheers!
DevinHi!
We wouldn’t actually be able to help you at all with that since you aren’t using the theme’s menu code and are using Ubermenu instead.
You’ll need to check with Ubermenu support and see if that is possible.
Cheers!
DevinCan you create a temporary admin account and then respond with a private reply here with the credentials so we can take a look live. I’m not sure why that would be having such unpredictable behavior from one image to the next as typically its all added in automatically when the page gets rendered.
Just make sure to click the checkbox under your reply for “Set as private reply” so only we can see the login details.
Hey elames!
Its basically the same as adding a regular slideshow like in this video: https://vimeo.com/channels/aviathemes/64927358
Except its using the fullscreen slider element. The big hang up I think people typically have is that in the demo the first image has the logo right on the image and there isn’t an option to add a separate logo on top. Eg: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/files/2013/06/tablet-2-1500×1500.jpg
Best regards,
DevinHey!
No, the ajax portfolio view only has a single layout which is completely separate from any layout you may have in the visual editor/advance layout editor set above (on the single portfolio item).

DevinOctober 18, 2013 at 5:00 pm in reply to: Error message in child theme:parent theme is required in the child theme. #177487Things change from version to version of the theme. A plugin that may have worked before may not work with something new that has been added.
For instance in 2.4 we’ll be adding the masonry option in and the javascript to support it may not work with another plugin.
Hi!
I’ll tag the topic for Kriesi but it will probably take him a bit of time as he is finishing up things for the next theme release.
Neither I or any of the regular support crew can give permission however so you’ll need to wait for Kriesi’s input.
Cheers!
DevinHi!
The “theme color” option has no gradient effect. That is the “Theme Color (subtle) option”.

DevinHey seremot!
First thing to do is update your theme and see if that helps. Next, deactivate any active plugins you have running.
By default the blank page template is full width so something else is causing a conflict with its default view.
Best regards,
DevinTraditionally customers want to see your product/services and the logo is pretty far down on what they want or need to see which is why by design the header is small on the majority of website you’ll see (including in enfold).
In Firefox I’m having no issues loading up the larger logo on any page load.

DevinHi!
Without seeing the site live my best guess is that a newly installed or updated plugin is causing a conflict with the theme’s javascript. You can try deactivating plugins one by one until the issue is fixed or all of them at once and then re-activate one by one.

DevinHi JayBlay77!
You’ll need to try the codex troubleshooting tips here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Fixing_Permalink_Problems

DevinOctober 18, 2013 at 3:42 pm in reply to: Error message in child theme:parent theme is required in the child theme. #177436You can try disabling any active plugins you have running to check if there is a conflict or anything. If you have any changes in the child theme to the core files then you may also need to re-do them or check if the parent files they are replacing have been adjusted.
Hey Bluemkt!
Sounds like a conflict with another script. Try deactivating plugins and then re-enabling them one by one until the issues re-appear and see if you can narrow down the conflict.

DevinOctober 18, 2013 at 3:15 pm in reply to: How do I change the css for the dashboard screens through my child theme? #177411Hi bethperkins!
That isn’t something we can assist with via support unfortunately. Getting into modifying the WordPress dashboard is a subject of itself but typically I see this kind of issue from other plugins which modify the default column width by adding in another column (for SEO options as an example).

DevinHi!
What is the hosting provider? I’m not even able to get access to the site as the connection just times out. I’ve installed Enfold on a number of budget hosters without issue though I have upped the memory on most of them where I could which helped get general stability up.
You might also want to try deactivating any and all active plugins and dropins that are installed. A quick google on the error and it pops up with a number of plugins and various issues so I don’t think its necessarily a theme specific issue but a symptom of something else that is just getting triggered because of the theme.
Cheers!
DevinOctober 18, 2013 at 3:07 pm in reply to: Layerslider working perfectly in preview…not on page… #177407At this point I’m out of ideas except for deleting each of the previous versions you’ve made and trying to start from scratch on them. The individual version coming from copies may have all been corrupted or something like that where they have inherited the same error/issue.
Just as a quick test of this theory I made a “basic fade” slideshow and it seems to work fine with all of the images in.
Hi yukanl!
Can you give a bit more description on when and where exactly this is happening? We’ll try and re-create it and see if we can find a bug at that point.

DevinHey!
Not that I know of through ThemeForest. You would need to create an account for each though Envato support would be the best place to ask about that.

DevinOctober 18, 2013 at 2:50 pm in reply to: Seperate Sidebar on all of my events – using event manager plugin #177398Hi!
If you chose the blog page from the theme options then the page layout gets populated by your theme wide settings and anything on that specific page gets ignore. So you can de-select the blog page from the main theme options and then just set it from the menu so that you choose how it displays using the page options and advanced layout editor.
Cheers!
DevinOctober 18, 2013 at 2:45 pm in reply to: Want Enfold-featured image as small preview when using grid layout #177396Hey!
IE8 does not support media queries. This is why your site displays at a smaller width since the default width without a media query effecting it is smaller than the large screen width.
You could try using this plugin to force IE8 to use media queries however: http://wordpress.org/plugins/respondjs/
For the single blog item try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:
a.small-preview {max-width:auto;}
Regards,
DevinIt would be best/easiest I think to just edit the parent file and keep a changelog.txt of your own with the changes you did so they can be re-applied after updates.
The
wp_dequeue_script( 'avia-default' ); wp_deregister_script('avia-default');
` from before should be clearing out the parent but for some unknown reason it isn’t.Just skipping over the need for it in this instance then would be the best I believe. You could even possibly try deleting the parent avia.js file since you have it in your child now so that after an update all you need to do is delete the parent (unless it had a change like 2.4 will have).
Hey!
Hmm, strange enough now I’m getting it on my end where previously I wasn’t. Let me tag Peter and see if he might have an idea since I sure don’t.

DevinHey!
As mentioned caching plugins are a great way to speed up WordPress. Enfold by itself has a handful of scripts loading in the mix but are still cached. Its only when the version changes that the client then knows to change out the file from a cached version.
But hopefully your W3 settings are now good and have gotten you to the speed you are looking for.
Cheers!
DevinHello fshn2day!
I’m not sure why just looking at the front end. How did you add each image in? Are any of the text boxes in the text tab and not in the visual or something like that?
