ignore this post – I did not find a way to delete it- This reply was modified 3 years, 11 months ago by clikcreations. Reason: solved my own question using info from the forum
YES!
I have *sort of* a solution!
Here’s what I got: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/399068055092723712/801860396020400156/unknown.png
And the code I changed to get there (after trial and error with the browser editing tools) was as follows:
.logo { overflow: visible !important; height: 180% !important; } .logo a { overflow: visible !important; height: 180% !important; } .main_menu { padding-top: 45px !important; } #header_main { padding-top: 5px !important; padding-bottom: 95px !important; }
This basically solves the menu issue, but I will need to relocate the “call us now” line (top bar above menu) because it was now awkward with all that spacing. I wish I could put text just above the menu, where the empty space is, but I don’t think it’s possible without layering. Would be super helpful if possible. Is it?
Thanks for this, Victoria!
I tried it and it basically made the logo tiny, along with the rest of the menu + added some strange behavior.
Example 1:
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/385832793529384960/801845733682577448/unknown.png
Here you see that the logo is now tiny and there’s now a big gap under the menu, rather than above AND below it.
Is it seriously not possible to retain the big logo and have the menu smaller (as is now), but centered vertically within the space? The code snippet you suggested just shrinks down the whole header container, rather than trimming the menu buttons. I need to trim the menu buttons to make them smaller, but keep the logo big.I have faith that someone here could propose a solution.
Thanks again!
I’ve quickly made a mockup to illustrate.
Here’s where I’m at: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/399068055092723712/801816849460363274/menu_as-is.png
Here’s where I’d like to be: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/399068055092723712/801816848542728212/menu_as-needed.pngHi, this isn’t what I need, because it would also make the logo tiny. I need to be able to control the height of the menu buttons themselves, while keeping the header the same size, including the large logo. This is why I attached the screenshots of the design I’m trying to (somewhat) follow.
As it stands now – the huge menu buttons are essentially unusable. If I could shave off 2/3 of their height – that would be perfect.I tried digging through the code and making adjustments using the browser inspection tools, I managed to expand the buttons width-wise as needed, but I couldn’t figure out how to reduce their height.
BUMP – any help would really be appreciated!
Update:
Digging more I have managed to expand the menu buttons to the sides, though there’s still a lot of room for improvement…
Here’s where I’m now: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/399068055092723712/801451669316567060/unknown.png
It would be great if I could:
1) Make the menu buttons about 1/3 the height, still centered vertically (keeping the logo same height)
2) Adjust the *highlight* color of the sub-menu item background (currently light gray) OR change the font color (I already changed normal color to black, but it did not change the highlight – seems to be tied to the main menu!)
3) Make the menu buttons all same width, with text centered (as per original design)Again, the original design is here: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/399068055092723712/801046501283463209/unknown.png
I’m loving Enfold, but I wish there were more exposed options for certain things, or at least more presets to work with in terms of menus.
Thanks!

Hi!
Thanks for the help, guys – I managed to adjust the colors as needed.
Now onto another related issue…What I have now is this: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/399068055092723712/801436469678964767/unknown.png
Is there a way to control the width and height of the menu buttons? To be more in line with the original design like this: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/399068055092723712/801046501283463209/unknown.png
I don’t mind if it’s not exact/perfect, but it does need to be a bit more in line with what’s been designed already, if possible.
Thanks again for the help! :)
I seem to have another problem on that same page… the “read more” button does not seem to produce a link to the next section if I’m at 1080p or less. On a 1440p screen it works fine.
An identical button on the “Careers” page works fine regardless of the resolution.
A client actually was the first to point this out to me, as it did not work on her 720p laptop.
I decided to remove the advanced styling where I was forcing the <p> tag to have 1.6em spacing and 16px font size… That then enabled your code to work.
It seems to be that the advanced styling overrides everything.
Hi!
Thanks for the try, but this changed nothing :/
Hi!
I’m adding the link in the private box below.
I’d like to change the font size of the 5 boxes in the grey ribbon to something smaller. Thanks!
June 6, 2019 at 5:30 pm in reply to: Masonry gallery – "Load more" starts shaking the website + random border #1108007Hi!
1) Link posted in private below. Super easy to recreate… As I’ve mentioned in my last reply: “The 1px border issue is not gone, however. Easily replicated by putting an element (such as a whitespace or anything else) outside of or between the Layout Elements.”
2) Issue also reproduced in the test page. When the container is wider than 1310px – everything breaks. Masonry no longer follows the shape of the image and adds a white background. Well, the white background is an issue all on its own anyway, because images with transparency are not being displayed properly…EVER. Why does Masonry Gallery even need a white background? Should be permanently transparent, as far as I’m concerned – would solve so many issues….
I’m keeping this as relevant as I can, however with the reply speed here (once or twice a week if we’re lucky – admitedly I stop coming back too because it’s so slow to get anywhere, hence my own late replies) – is it really good advice to keep splitting everything into even more topics? If I have 2 or 3 issues with the masonry gallery, I sort of expect to be able to list them all as I go, but it might just be me. Thanks anyway.

Hi!
Not much to share so far, really, as I’ve just made the header while doing other work, but I’ve put the link into the private info box.
At the moment I’ve got the header centered using empty pixels, but I would definitely like to know how to do it without having to fiddle with the logo images every time. :)I’ll add another issue on top:
How do I move the social media icons out of the logo area and into the menu area? https://i.imgur.com/wBjzID1.png
It sort of works out fine if the logo is not escalated to the top (as seen here: https://i.imgur.com/iL1c1yK.png ), but for this design, which the client approved, I have to elevate the logo, which breaks everything…
On top of that – any way to control the size of those social media logos? They are tiny…Thanks!
May 16, 2019 at 11:50 am in reply to: Masonry gallery – "Load more" starts shaking the website + random border #1101395Hi! Sorry for the very late reply, I was caught up with other work and then went on holiday :)
Anyway, the question about the website URL was a bit funny, since it’s right there in the video, but then I realized I’d enabled the construction mode on it… oops! Guest login in the private field below, if still needed.
Good to see I’m not alone with this issue! It was bothering me ever since we got into Enfold! As Brianbu mentioned – the issue is OLD, so it’s about time it got fixed.
The CSS code provided seems to have sorted the shaking and flickering, which is awesome! Thanks for that – hopefully you guys will find what is causing it and apply the fix in an update :)The 1px border issue is not gone, however. Easily replicated by putting an element (such as a whitespace or anything else) outside of or between the Layout Elements. I guess we’re supposed to always use these layout elements as containers..? Still annoying.
Another issue I have is that if I wanted the masonry gallery to fill the browser width I start getting very ugly white sides on my pictures. This, in essence, limits the possible website width to just above the default value in Enfold – going wider starts introducing the ugly white edges on the gallery: https://imgur.com/jczOoIM – not gonna work if you want to create a fully flexible website/gallery.
On top of that there’s the blur that happens when hovering on any image. It would be nicer to have some control over the thumbnail size/filtering, since as it stands now – it would not be acceptable for a website displaying critical imagery (photography, graphic design, etc).
The issue is not present if the “perfect grid” setting is used, only in “flexible” mode. But the masonry gallery’s main appeal IS the flexible mode, so it needs sorting.- This reply was modified 5 years, 7 months ago by clikcreations.
What I did was delete the files off the FTP server and then upload a fresh WP installation in there. I didn’t touch the database, so the settings and pages were all intact automagically. All I had to do was install the theme, child theme and the plugins. Everything was fast and I didn’t need to touch any settings as they were all in the database. The problem seems to be solved :)
No idea what happened there in the first place…
Hi!
It didn’t really do anything for me. Updated to https and nothing, text fields are still not editable.
It feels like I’ll have to reinstall WordPress and Enfold and try again :/
Is there a way to save Enfold theme settings (styling, header, etc) so they can be re-imported? It would save me a bunch of time if I could do that.
Hi, Rikard,
Thanks for this!
I’m really not sure what the file is or what it does, especially considering that deactivating all plugins (including the SSL) did nothing – I’m still having the same issue.
Were you able to reproduce the issue your end when you checked the site? It’s not me going insane, right?Hi!
Sorry for the late reply, was busy with other work!
The temporary credentials are in private!
Hi, Rikard!
Same thing, can’t put anything in, clicking does nothing. Not sure what the problem is or how to sort it. It makes it impossible to work on websites as it is now. I saw on the forum here that someone else had a very similar issue, but half the messages were set to private, so I don’t know what the solution was :/
Awesome, that’s it!
Thanks :)Anyone?
