Hi Yigit,
Sorry about that, there’s something amiss with the login URL – I have to use the super awkward one below ??
The username and password should still be ok…
Does this work for you??
Hi Yigit,
Ah I see, I understand. You can see things I cannot, that makes sense now!
I have generated a full backup from within my cPanel, and would really appreciate it if you could do the update for me, thank you so much! Logins posted privately.
Really appreciate the help.
Thanks,
Catherine
Hi Yigit,
Thanks very much for replying.
I had checked the theme actually and it says the site is on the current version? I use a child theme – so that appears as Enfold Child in the left sidebar. I have checked via as many routes as possible ie Dashboard – Updates; Enfold-child – Update. It states I am on version 4.8.1. I used Themeforest and have the API key entered.
On the Site Health section of the WordPress dashboard there are some issues – could it be one of these? It mentions that I’m on PHP 7.2.34 and need to update that to minimum PHP 7.4 (this ties in with the error messages appearing (see below) It also details some security issues I need to address ie unused plugins, themes etc, which may be an issue – I have them on auto-enable but I notice there is still a red number on the sidebar and some plugins highlighted in blue – I’m not sure why. I may just delete the plugins (there are only 5 and none are of huge importance to the content.) I have also deleted all the WordPress themes that were deactivated.
So it seems from what I can gather that the Enfold theme is up to date – do you think it could be the PHP issue?
If I click on the Dashboard tab in the left sidebar, then click Updates – the following strings are currently appearing at the top of the page (some are incomplete because I am copy-pasting and the initial data runs off the page)
et ‘http_code’ in /home/aruleoft/public_html/www.bexhilltobago.co.uk/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/auto-updates/class-envato-protected-api.php on line 307

EDIT: I have just updated the PHP version and those error messages have now gone. However, the page building interface is still a mess – the Enfold block building interface is way down the page, with what looks like WordPress interface at the top. It’s as though they are competing. I feel this happened with a WordPress update – are there compatibility issues??

February 23, 2018 at 4:34 pm in reply to: Comment Box not appearing in Blog Post (using template builder) #916756Ah, actually – sorry, I found it! I literally just missed it.
Thank you, I’ll make the text changes myself in cPanel.
Thanks guys!
February 23, 2018 at 4:31 pm in reply to: Comment Box not appearing in Blog Post (using template builder) #916754Ok, thank you. I tried that but got a message saying something like “Import didn’t work – nothing to import.”
I can access the .php files from my host cPanel, but actually I couldn’t find the text I want to edit anywhere – is it definitely in the comments.php file??
February 23, 2018 at 2:36 pm in reply to: Comment Box not appearing in Blog Post (using template builder) #916709Do you mean it can be modified in the CSS templates? I can probably figure that out myself once I remember where to find it! (I am using a child-theme).
February 23, 2018 at 1:09 pm in reply to: Comment Box not appearing in Blog Post (using template builder) #916637Fab, it worked!
I feel pretty silly now – definitely a case of me overcomplicating things….!
Just one query – is it possible to edit the text that reads:

Hi Jordan,
I hadn’t – but I have now, and it has fixed the problem!
Brilliant, thank you.(I obviously misunderstood what that meant – I thought it was the positioning of the title of the tab!)
Looks great, thanks Jordan
November 14, 2015 at 11:38 am in reply to: Problems pointing domain name – theme being blamed? #535833Just noticed that the first error message looks as if Enfold is trying to open a sessions file for another user – user51483! My account is user52791. Where could Enfold pick up user51483 from? Help!
November 13, 2015 at 5:13 pm in reply to: Problems pointing domain name – theme being blamed? #535524These are the error messages
Warning: session_start(): open(/home/user51483/sessions/sess_c905adfd4e982b3546584556ae9c27a9, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in /web1/user52791/website/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/masonry_entries.php on line 32Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter – headers already sent (output started at /web1/user52791/website/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/masonry_entries.php:32) in /web1/user52791/website/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/masonry_entries.php on line 32
Also having issues navigating the menu system – getting Not Found everwhere
November 13, 2015 at 1:25 pm in reply to: Problems pointing domain name – theme being blamed? #535350Just to keep you updated: Have now activated Enfold again because I received an email saying the latest version of Enfold is out.
Using the username and API key I have applied changes. We can now get into the WordPress admin screen but the error messages remain on the live site.November 13, 2015 at 1:06 pm in reply to: Problems pointing domain name – theme being blamed? #535347Hi folks,
Has anyone had a chance to look at this for me yet? :-)November 13, 2015 at 12:55 pm in reply to: Problems pointing domain name – theme being blamed? #535344I have amended the databse to use theme twentyfifteen so that I can login as admin, so the error messages mentioned above will not appear now. I think that the following rows in table wp-options may be the occurrences of ‘user52791’ that are causing problems:-
(40, ‘recently_edited’, ‘a:3:{i:0;s:62:”/web1/user52791/website/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php”;i:2;s:58:”/web1/user52791/website/wp-content/themes/enfold/style.css”;i:3;s:0:””;}’, ‘no’),
(82, ‘uninstall_plugins’, ‘a:2:{s:94:”web1/user52791/website/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/layerslider.php”;s:29:”layerslider_uninstall_scripts”;s:30:”backup-wp/backup-wordpress.php”;s:20:”sns_backup_uninstall”;}’, ‘no’)
(998, ‘frmsvr_last_folder’, ‘/web1/user52791/website/wp-content/uploads’, ‘yes’),
Sorry, quick check – I have added some template debugging code to my child theme functions.php.
Is the code below in private content correct? I have simply added the code after all other text in the functions.php file.
Ok, great, thank you. So I can just transfer this whole folder across via FTP into the themes folder of my website, yes?
Hi you guys,
Sorry, I just realised what I was doing wrong – editing the wrong menu….!! Doh!
Sorry for the inconvenience, rookie error.
Blame jet-lag ;-)October 23, 2015 at 3:39 pm in reply to: How to edit Avia Layout Template that is already created? #523913Hi Andy,
Yes, I followed that tutorial and the WordPress codex one on child themes, but it’s not working with the code suggested. But it’s no problem, I’ll open a new thread.
Thanks Andy
October 22, 2015 at 6:30 pm in reply to: How to edit Avia Layout Template that is already created? #523209For some reason I’m not able to get my child theme to work properly. I suspect I’m not using the right code in either the style.css or functions.php; I couldn’t find a single source of the best code to use so I’m not sure I have it right!
Are you able to give me the right code to use to create a child theme? I have added underneath the code I’m using in private content.
I’m ok to upload via FTP – the theme is showing us as a broken theme in Appearance-Themes in the Dashboard of my site, with a message that the stylesheet is missing.
October 22, 2015 at 3:05 pm in reply to: How to edit Avia Layout Template that is already created? #523016Ok, so I don’t lose the General Styling CSS snippets when the theme updates? They are preserved?
October 22, 2015 at 9:38 am in reply to: How to edit Avia Layout Template that is already created? #522792Thanks you guys, will do this.
Should I also add snippets of CSS into the child theme instead of having them in General Styling?
October 21, 2015 at 2:49 pm in reply to: How to edit Avia Layout Template that is already created? #522332Sorry, not concentrating – I see the link now. Doh!
Thanks Yigit, I’ll check that.I don’t have a child theme set up so I’ll have to edit the .php file.
Thanks!
October 21, 2015 at 2:32 pm in reply to: How to edit Avia Layout Template that is already created? #522318Ooh, awesome!
How do I enable debugging, somewhere in the Enfold settings?
Thank you! That’s so helpful, I’ll check it out.
Thanks Yigit x
Sorry – I’ve just checked it, it’s a .otf, not a .rtf
October 20, 2015 at 1:22 pm in reply to: Which general setting controls the colour on media element-hotspot-tooltip? #521606Brilliant, that’s changed the text colour….
Now for the background?! You see where the background of the tooltip box is the same colour as the dark red background – we need to be able to change that to say a pale blue…
Thanks for the tip re hex codes too
October 20, 2015 at 11:39 am in reply to: Which general setting controls the colour on media element-hotspot-tooltip? #521509Also, the code you gave me has changed the colour – but only of the dot? If you look now at [web address below] you’ll see the dot is blue but the background of the text is still dark plum coloured, which is the one we want to change?
October 20, 2015 at 11:37 am in reply to: Which general setting controls the colour on media element-hotspot-tooltip? #521508Lovely, thank you – and tell me, can I use hexadecimal codes where it says green or must I use colours?
If so, how can I find some colour-descriptions to choose from? Sorry, I just always use hex codes!Hi again,
Don’t worry – remembered where to find it in Appearance. That’s worked! I adjusted to post name and the front page link now seems to be working.
Thanks so much you geniuses!
:-)
CatherineHi there,
Thanks for replying!
Where would I adjust those settings??
Ah ok – I’ll have a play with it to see if it suits my needs!
Thanks for the links, they’re very handy.
Have a good day!
