    Hi folks,

My page builder isn’t working properly – is it related to WordPress updates? I have not been able to spend much time on the website, so may have missed something, and I did update to WordPress 5.7 without checking if it could be problematic :-\

You will be able to see some error messages on the Updates page that could help you identify problems.

I don’t recall why the login URL needs .php after it but like I said, I have not had time to keep up with website maintenance, unfortunately!

    Could you advise?

    Many thanks,

    Catherine

    Hi Catherine,

    Thanks for contacting us!

You are currently using a very old version of the theme.
Please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/ and update Enfold to the latest version 4.8.1.

Then, please generate a Personal Token by referring to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and insert it in Enfold theme options to receive auto updates :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi Yigit,

    Thanks very much for replying.

I had checked the theme actually and it says the site is on the current version? I use a child theme – so that appears as Enfold Child in the left sidebar. I have checked via as many routes as possible ie Dashboard – Updates; Enfold-child – Update. It states I am on version 4.8.1. I used Themeforest and have the API key entered.

On the Site Health section of the WordPress dashboard there are some issues – could it be one of these? It mentions that I’m on PHP 7.2.34 and need to update that to minimum PHP 7.4 (this ties in with the error messages appearing (see below) It also details some security issues I need to address ie unused plugins, themes etc, which may be an issue – I have them on auto-enable but I notice there is still a red number on the sidebar and some plugins highlighted in blue – I’m not sure why. I may just delete the plugins (there are only 5 and none are of huge importance to the content.) I have also deleted all the WordPress themes that were deactivated.

So it seems from what I can gather that the Enfold theme is up to date – do you think it could be the PHP issue?

If I click on the Dashboard tab in the left sidebar, then click Updates – the following strings are currently appearing at the top of the page (some are incomplete because I am copy-pasting and the initial data runs off the page)

    et ‘http_code’ in /home/aruleoft/public_html/www.bexhilltobago.co.uk/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/auto-updates/class-envato-protected-api.php on line 307

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/aruleoft/public_html/www.bexhilltobago.co.uk/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/auto-updates/class-pixelentity-theme-update.php on line 49

Warning: Illegal string offset ‘http_code’ in /home/aruleoft/public_html/www.bexhilltobago.co.uk/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/auto-updates/class-envato-protected-api.php on line 307

EDIT: I have just updated the PHP version and those error messages have now gone. However, the page building interface is still a mess – the Enfold block building interface is way down the page, with what looks like WordPress interface at the top. It’s as though they are competing. I feel this happened with a WordPress update – are there compatibility issues??

    Hi,

Looking at the source code I see that you are using Enfold version 4.1.2.

Envato has updated their API and we have implemented those changes in Enfold 4.5 so your API key would not work unless you manually update the theme to the latest version – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/.

After updating the theme, please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and generate Personal Token and insert it in Enfold theme options to receive auto updates.

If you would like us to update the theme for you, please have a back up and post WP and FTP logins here privately :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi Yigit,

Ah I see, I understand. You can see things I cannot, that makes sense now!

I have generated a full backup from within my cPanel, and would really appreciate it if you could do the update for me, thank you so much! Logins posted privately.

    Really appreciate the help.

    Thanks,

    Catherine

    Hey,

WP logins did not work for me. I am updating the theme via FTP however I will not be able to confirm page builder issue without WP logins. Could you please check them once again? :)

    Cheers!

    Hi Yigit,

Sorry about that, there’s something amiss with the login URL – I have to use the super awkward one below ??

The username and password should still be ok…

    Does this work for you??

    #1293376

    Hi,

I used the login URL from your first post so that was not the issue but logins are still not working. I updated the theme via FTP, please flush cache and review your website.

Issue should be fixed, if it is not, please reset admin logins and share the new ones with us :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit
