From the settings and the translations, have you defined which is the main page and also, do you have the content in that second language?
Please do check that, because if it is empty, it does not link.

What you can check for us is, if responsive version is active on both installations.

The images are in 2 different columns, but if we touch that CSS, it will bring problems to the hole grid.
Can you try add them into one column better, so you can see if that can work?
