can you show us a link with your masonry gallery?
Wordpress is cropping images by default when uploading. You can control it with a plugin like: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/

we can’t translate the theme in every language existing. You can try to work with WPML or add translations manually using a plugin like: https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/

it is working on my own installation. Try to activate debug mode: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/
But maybe there are some theme files which are corrupt and in this case you need to delete all theme files via FTP before getting a fresh copy from your themeforest account.

bei mir erscheinen die Shortcodes automatisch im Standart Editor, sobald ich vom ALB wechsle.
Du musst das Layout vorher im ALB bestimmen (mittels Layout Element etc.), welche dann zu shortcodes umgewandelt werden.

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob deine letztere Überlegung funktionieren würde und ich denke eher nein. Aber schaue dir das hier genauer an und vielleicht belehrst du mich eines besseren :)

Ansonsten kannst du auch im Standart Editor mit Shortcodes arbeiten. Verwende dazu diesen Button:
