This page has the menu item I’ve been talking about. Sorry about the confusion. This should help explain exactly what I’m trying to do.
Thanks again!

Hi Yigit!
I am in fact using advanced LAyer slider. it is working beautifully but this is the only thing I need to change. the image I am trying to change or have appear on hover is the menu item called film portfolio. you will see when you browse the page that this item is on the top left, when you hover over the item another image presents itself giving the impression that the menu item or picture is changing color.

I do have another question but I’ve already posted it.
Thanks!!!

In fact I am talking about those buttons, but please note that the background image contains those pictures yes, but they are not the ones that I am trying to link. I have already added “layers” for each social media icon, and I already know how to make the icon glow upon hover since Yigit answered that in another post. The question now is how do I get them to glow different colors? The code entered in Quick CSS originially affects all layers in the advanced layer slider on the page (389) in this case. but if I want facebook to glow a different color than IMDB, I would need to define the layer as a new ID in attribute and customize the css for that one layer using the ID correct? But I am unsure on how to do this exactly.
I added the code in the functions.php file, I can see the section “Custom CSS” under the “styles” tab next to the Attributes tab. Do I remove the code from the General Styling Quick CSS section and enter this code in the Custom CSS section under Styles for the layer? I’ve tried a few combinations without success. Thank you for the help, also the code listed above has no mention of “hover”. Will it still have the same effect?
Thanks!
Hi Ismael,
I’m sorry but I’m still fairly new with this. Under “attributes” I see the fields “ID” “Classes” “Title” “Alt” and “Rel” I’m assuming I enter “imdb-icon” in the ID field. Then what? Do I need to go somewhere else to define this ID?
Sorry for being such a noob, :)
Your help is appreciated!

April 28, 2015 at 3:43 pm in reply to: Stop website from being responsive when browser reaches specific dimension #436108Hi Yigit,
I’ve created a new duplicate page with the Color section (changing background to image) http://www.alextomaszewski.com/test and it looks great, but now the problem remains with the links. In my earlier topic listed HERE you explained how to make my layers “glow” or change background upon hover. What element would I need to use to be able to do the same thing with a color section? I am unable to insert the advanced layer slider inside the color section which makes it impossible for me to place the layers on top of the writing in the background to achieve the same result as above. , so what can I do instead?

Thanks again!
Hi there,
While I appreciate the effort and the creative use of the pricing table, it’s not really what the client is looking for. Is there no way of creating columns within a text box?
Thanks!
This reply has been marked as private. Please look at the actual website:
You’ll clearly see there is a problem with the spacing between the paragraph and the text with 2 columns. I know it looks fine in the dashboard in the back scene, but look at the obvious spacing issue on the page. How do I fix that? How do I get it to look like this:

Thanks again!

Hi Rikard,
I did try the 1/2 element. Take a look at what it looks like on the backend:
http://alextomaszewski.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/dashboard-layout-support.png
I have tried using a combination of the whitespace tool and the different layouts to get what I need but it’s not really working out for me. There’s probably a better of way of doing this for sure. Thanks for the feedback.
Again, this is what I want it to look like:

Thanks!
Ben
You are awesome! Thanks so much! This is perfect and she’s all ready now! Thanks again!
Happy New Years!!!

Hi Elliott,
I removed the box layout and put it to stretch across the whole browser, that seems to have fixed 90% of the problem. Now the only problem is that the right side of the page has a new background image. How do I get the background to stretch across like its suppose to, not like this:
And I don’t know where to go to remove that CSS above. The EDIT CSS section is blank, there is no code there. Where should I go to do this?
Thanks again!
Ben
Honestly, you’re awesome!
Thanks so much!
This is perfect!
Ben
I found code like this:
.transparent-style{
background-color: #ffffff;
opacity: .4;
}but not sure how I would go about using that with this new custom css option.
Thanks.
This is so awesome!!! Thanks so much Elliott!
Now that I have the ability to change the background color of each box, what is the background color of a transparent black “shadow” box? Is that a color or is that something different?
That worked beautifully! I guess the limitation is that we can only have them redirect to one page all the time, if they click on a different author it will still link to that page as well?
Either way, thank you so much!

Hi Elliott,
Thanks alot for your help! I found the line in the php file, but I am not familiar with how to include the url there? What should I be replacing in this line? I would like the author icons to redirect to:
http://energyzone.ca/benjamin/
Thanks again!
Ben
Hi Elliott,
What I am trying to do is shown here:
http://energyzone.ca/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/screenshot.jpg
Where you see the text “Best Value” and the paragraph underneath, this is a simple text box that I am using. Instead of having to include the black shadow box as part of the background, I would like a black shadow box to be the background for my text box. This way everything would resize properly on all devices and screen sizes.
If I were trying to change the background color of a text box to say white, there would be a code for that I would imagine. In this case, I am looking for the code for a shadow box. I hope this helps clear things up.
Thanks again!

December 7, 2014 at 9:39 am in reply to: Accordion Feature, Increase Size of Font and changing color of Font in title #364257Hi again, I’ve been working on it for a bit and I was able to create the correct code to give me what I want. What is a bit out of my scope is the alignment within the box. Currently, it is aligned at the top of the box but I want it centered vertically. Can you please provide the code for this.
Thank you!
Ben
Thats excellent!
Very useful indeed! Now the only thing left is to be able to spread the menu items across the top. How do I customize the px distance from right or left in the header. I know it is currently set up to the right, but I would like it to align beside the logo and go toward the right. Like the original picture.
this is the last item for this I promise! You are most appreciated!!!
Thanks again!
Ben
