Hi – if i try to add padding to a single page-wide column – where i’ve set a border and background color – ALL the formatting changes disappear and i cannot get them to return. It just looks “normal” as though no changes were made. Why would this be? Is it a bug? i can’t get changes to show on anything. Yes, I”ve cleared the cache repeatedly. Very frustrating, basic formatting changes like this should show, not be a struggle. sorry to complain but spent 2 hours trying to fix / figure it out and nothing works.
See link – the third position, “be smart” should have a border and background color or image (i tried both).
When you first build it, they show – but it needs padding. so you adjust padding, hit refresh on the page, and it vanishes, never to return.What am i doing wrong?

Thank you for the screenshot.
The styles of the columns are not getting applied because the post-css file is missing or is not being loaded. Did you add any filters in the functions.php file? Please provide the S/FTP details in the private field so that we can investigate the issue further.

Thank you for the update.
Have you tried recreating the page from scratch? You can also save the current content as template, then apply it to a newly created page. Let us know once the S/FTP access is available.

Have you added any custom scripts to the page or template files? Temporarily disabling the plugins might also help. We have tested this on our local installation, and the column styling displays correctly.
Best regards,
IsmaelOctober 6, 2023 at 1:08 pm #1421636i tried the plugin route before i wrote you. here is what we have for custom CSS; do you see anything that might be causing this? I don’t seem to have this issue on Posts, only Pages.

October 9, 2023 at 4:39 am #1421859Hi,
We didn’t find any errors in the css code above. Please try to set the builder to debug mode so that we can check the actual shortcodes of the builder elements.
// https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#debug-mode
Best regards,
IsmaelOctober 9, 2023 at 11:48 am #1421891OK debug mode is on. at first the settings appear, then make any minor change, and they disappear as though no styling has been applied. code is below. i can see the background color setting but it does not render after saving the page with a minor change.
October 10, 2023 at 5:09 am #1421962Hi,
Thank you for the info.
We used the shortcodes on our end and the changes to the column styles are applying correctly (see private field). The only difference that we noticed is the adrotate shortcode, which is not activated on our installation. Have you tried disabling or removing the adrotate shortcode temporarily?
Best regards,
