Hi
I updated my wp post to the latest version 4.3 today and it took down my whole blog. “Cortex” error or something like that. I called my hosting company, godaddy and they said the issue is on the developer end. They told me that they will charge me a fee to bring back the whole site. My blog was down for half a day. Before you put up any updates can you check for errors. This happened to 2 of my sites. Otherwise what is the point of updating?Hey Jack,
Sorry for the inconvenience. That issue usually occurs when theme folders are merged instead of being replaced and since we have made major changes in Enfold 4.3 (you can read more about it and other releases here – https://kriesi.at/blog ), merging folders causes error.
Deleting /wp-content/themes/enfold/ folder and re-installing it via FTP – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold would solve the issue.
If you would like us to fix the issue for you, please register to our support forum – https://kriesi.at/support/register/ and start thread under Enfold sub forum and attach FTP and WP admin logins in private content field.
