We recently updated to WP 5.03 which introduced Gutenberg for us (we’re not a fan). The update ended up causing some formatting issues primarily on the home page. There was also an issue reported with “bucket tags” form which is under the sales portal section.
I did some research and found that the new Gutenberg didn’t play well with older versions of Enfold, in fact after reviewing the change logs for the updated Enfold I sam many of the issues we were having.
I had hoped that after performing a site backup and updating Enfold to the newest version that these issues would go away. However, after doing so the issues still remain. I even changed the setting to not use Gutenberg, that didn’t seem to help.
Can you help us get this one fixed?
January 19, 2019 at 7:15 pm #1055956if you are not a fan of WordPress Gutenberg – why don’t you get rid of the whole thing by Plugin: “Classic Editor” – it disables Gutenberg on their Settings.
January 19, 2019 at 8:17 pm #1055967Hi,
It looks like your homepage may have been edited from within the “block editor” because there is some ALB shortcode outside of the elements:
the Enfold parser found these errors:
I ran the auto repair on your page:
but you page seems to still have some errors and some of the elements have been doubled, so you will need to manually remove the extra elements, but the page structure is no longer broken and the html code is not showing on your homepage now.
I saved a copy of the original page shortcode and included it in the Private Content area, if you should want to revert back to how it was.Best regards,
MikeJanuary 20, 2019 at 12:31 am #1055999Thanks much for your help. I was able to make some adjustments to the home page to get it looking right.
I was curious if you had any thoughts on the bucket tag page under the sales portal. One the second page of the form, there is a table that before would allow you to hit a + sign on the right side to add more rows. This is now gone from the page. However, when looking at the preview of the form it shows. I’ve tried to delete the form and re-add it, but so far that hasn’t worked.
I also wanted to ask about the “auto repair” tool you mentioned. Is that a support only tool? If not could it be a tool I could use? Where would I find it?
January 20, 2019 at 1:29 am #1056007Hi,
Glad to hear! As for the gravity form table, I’m not sure how that looked, but you have this error:Mixed Content: The page at '<URL>' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure font '<URL>'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.
please see the screenshot in the Private Content area.
This is a mixed content error that typically can be solved by ensuring that all links on your site are “https”
The easy way to do this is to install Really Simple SSL plugin. To use the debugger please: Enable Avia Layout Builder Debug and read about the Shortcode parser
Best regards,
MikeJanuary 20, 2019 at 4:38 am #1056017I may have spoken too soon. After getting the home page and looking correct, I left for a few hours, when I check later, it’s back to its old tricks of showing code and looking really bad again…I’m really confused on the next step here.
I’m starting to get a lot of complaints from customers and the high-level management team and I’m not sure what to do…
Correction: It seems fine in Chrome where I made the changes at least for me on this laptop. However, in Edge it still shows all the stuff like before. I did clear my browser cache in Edge, but no changes. It also has the same issues on my mobile device. So it’s like it kinda works. Gonna look to see if I can clear the site cache somewhere.
UPDATE: I believe clearing the site cache may have helped. Still holding my breath as to whether it’s fully gonna work right or not.

January 20, 2019 at 4:49 am #1056021As for the bucket tag issue, I’m not sure how to recreate the errors you referenced as I’m not getting them. I’m also not why this issue just presented itself as the form had been working until the update stuff, so I assume it was something related to it.

January 20, 2019 at 4:12 pm #1056171Hi,
I took a look at your homepage this morning and it’s showing correctly on Chrome & Edge, it does sound like the site cache was giving you trouble, you may still get comments from the management team if they have not cleared their cache.
You could just ask them to clear their cache, or you could try this plugin: Prevent Browser Caching for a few days. For the bucket, I took another look and didn’t see the errors this time, but I did find that the “plus” sign for each column was not showing because the column was too small, I changed the element to one full column and now it shows:
Please take a look and let us know if this is acceptable.Best regards,
