A client has a 200+ page website with lots of widget areas to control custom navigation. Those widget areas are set on each page under the sidebar settings. While performing an update to Enfold, we just lost every single one. Every single widget area is now gone, as it the navigation on every single page of the site. This has happened twice before. In the past, it was suggested this is a bug with WordPress, but in fact we have not had issue with other themes and similar situations.

I now have two days worth of work to re-setup every single widget, widget area and re-assign them to each of 200+ pages. I am tired of this. I have tried various other widget-area plug-ins to get around it, but I just cannot count on Enfold widget areas. Otherwise, I have to restore the site before the update.

I want to be positive about Enfold. We love the theme for many, many reasons, but things like this end up costing us days and days of work and reputation with clientele. If we traded places, wouldn’t you be extremely frustrated?

    Enfold 3.1.3

    Hey solarmediapro!

As far as I know there is no known bug or multiple instances of this happening. Could you go in to a bit more detail on exactly what happened, what plugins are installed and active, and any other additional information you might have?

    Best regards,
    Devin
