    hi guys

ive created a site with enfold and a nice blog page, and all works well but my client wants to add some text to the top of the blog page above the posts

I tried to do this but it doesn’t show. The page is nominated as a blog page inside the theme options of enfold.

So how do I find template-blog.php so I can edit it and place some text inside it? Or can I use a function?

I am using a child theme so it needs to be able to be done via a child theme so when I update it won’t over write my amended template file. What directory do I upload to in the child theme?

    Hey codecreative,

You can use the Advanced layout builder in your blog page and add your text.

    Hi John,

That will not work. I have the same problem than codecreative and I will add some explanation :
    – Enfold Options : in “where do you want to see the blog” you put an existing page, let’s say “awesome page”
    – Enfold Options : see Blog Model ? Put anything you want here
    – You go to edit “awesome page” : here let’s say we write awesome text, add awesome pic, whatever
    – Result : “awesome page” looks like articles following blog model, whatever you edited, because the blog template replaces “awesome page”

So what we want is to be able of modifying the blog template.

    Hi philippe2812,

The easiest way to have control of the blog page is to not set one in the theme option, and then simply use the Blog Posts element of the page of your choice. Could you try that out please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard
