    Hi – would love help!

I upgraded my site to the latest version of WordPress, updated all my plugins, and then updated my site from a previous version of Enfold to the most recent one. Everything was fine until I upgraded my Enfold version. Now the website crashed. Can’t even get into the admin portal. I get a white screen for everything. What do I do? Please help! Thanks!

Update: I thankfully had a backup of the site and was able to downgrade to the previous version of Enfold I was using (3.5.4). For the time being, I’m sticking with that. I was getting a WP-500 error message on 4.0.6. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Hey websiteworkers,
It seems to be up now, I was also able to get to the login screen. Has this been resolved?

    Best regards,
    Mike

Hi Mike – looks like we posted at the exact same time. See my note from a minute ago.

    Hi,

The best option is to make a staging site, so we can be able to debug the issues
I am afraid, when in live and with a revert option, there are not enough things we can do.

    Best regards,
    Basilis

How do I make a staging site version out of my current site?

    Hi,
One way is to create a sub-domain and make a copy of your site, I recommend https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/ , and install in on your sub-domain. Then use a “maintenance” plugin to block robots & visitors from finding it.
This way you can test before applying to your live site.

    Best regards,
    Mike
