Dear Team, my video banner was not working in my site for mobile devices due to some hardcoded CSS restrictions, despite the fact all the parameterised settings allowed for the video to be included (address attached below so you can inspect). This was with full width easy slider
After the latest update though now the video does not scale properly at all whereas at least it stretched properly for laptops AND it is not playing for mobile devices.
Images in the fullwidth easy slider are displaying properly.

I couldn’t see any problems like that on my end, could you post a screenshot of the issue and explain how to reproduce it please?
Best regards,

I have updated the site again with an easy slider containing a video and then a second static image. This worked in the enfold theme before the last update however was not playing on mobiles (as mentioned before). Now it just comes up in miniature and also does not play on mobile.
Appreciate your help

VictoriaFebruary 24, 2018 at 7:14 pm #917203Dear Victoria,
I’m thoroughly confused. It starts off talking about rolling back the version, then it gets a bit too technical for me but seems to indicate that the solution found would be implemented in early March, whereas it was implemented for the particular user by your moderators.
If that’s correct then I’ll try it again after the update. I’ve removed the video for now and just using a content slider. If I’ve misunderstood please let me know what I should be doing instead.
February 25, 2018 at 4:55 am #917276Hi,
Kriesi suspected that the problem was caused by a security plugin in the other thread, did you try disabling all plugins to see if there is conflict? Otherwise this will hopefully be fixed in the next update of the theme.
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 25, 2018 at 6:35 am #917297Hi Rikard, I disabled all the plugins but the problem is the same. Video does not seem to play in the mobile version whether it is embedded from Youtube, from my site, in a slider or whatever. It is highly frustrating. I am guessing more seasoned designers may be able to implement the workarounds but I bought this theme in order to effectively manage responsive for mobile and unfortunately that’s where I’m getting problems again.
I’d like to at least rollback to 4.2.3 in the meantime but having trouble finding a link to download it. Would someone be able to provide me with a link please?
February 25, 2018 at 6:59 am #917309February 25, 2018 at 8:43 am #917319Firstly, I’d like to thank you guys for your amazing support. Extremely responsive.
I’ve managed to rollback but now unfortunately it seems I’m confronted with the same issue and can’t figure out why. I think I’ll just have links to the videos for now and try my luck with the next version.
If anyone wants to delve deeper and see what is causing the video issues I’ve left the sections under Storytime to inspect. The sections don’t show up at all in live so if you need a separate access let me know.
Thanks anyway for the timely supportFebruary 26, 2018 at 10:07 am #917724Hi,
Please create a test page where we can see the issue. We’d like to know what’s causing it. Are you aware that videos inside the slider are disabled on mobile devices by default? You need to add a fall back image in place of the video.
Best regards,
IsmaelFebruary 26, 2018 at 10:11 am #917727Hi Ismael, I wasn’t aware of that and seems counter-intuitive since the controls to disable for different screen options are still available. I decided to change the design and then I embedded the videos via youtube for a different section which is actually a better solution so I think we can close this thread. I believe I shared a link before with Rikard but have added it back here in private for you if you want to have a look. Sounds like it’s probably the expected behaviour then.
February 27, 2018 at 5:31 am #918177Hi,
Hi Ismael, I wasn’t aware of that and seems counter-intuitive since the controls to disable for different screen options are still available.
The slider can still be visible on mobile view because you can add a fall back image. This is going to be displayed instead of the video slide.
Best regards,
