    Hi,

I’m having trouble sending mails with the standard contactform. When I put in my gmail-adres as destination it works fine. When I enter a adres in the same domain as the website, the mail doesn’t arrive. Scanning the mailserver says it isn’t delivered.
Reading on this forum made me install wp-smtp. But that doesn’t help either. Trying to test from within the plugin, I’m getting

    SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting

The server-adres I was got from the host doesn’t require logging in. So there isn’t any authentication.

How could I get this form to work? I could install contact form 7, but I suppose that I will be having the same trouble.

Hope you can help me with this.

    Regards,

    Erwin

    Hey Erwin,

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hi Erwin,

Where did you get your details for smtp?
Can you try to follow the instruction here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/mail-flow-best-practices/how-to-set-up-a-multifunction-device-or-application-to-send-email-using-office-3

    Best regards,
