Hi, our website http://www.michelle-heimberg.ch works with the enfold template. Because we need to implement an online donation service/interface with stripe an paypal, we have to use a SSL certificate on the site.
Certificate from hosting provider is done, but the result doesn’t look nice: https://www.michelle-heimberg.ch. We tested it with firefox and chrome, it looks like some problems using standard http elements inside the template (–> found in different support request).
Any ideas or recommendation to run the site without any restrictions under http and https?
We use actual releases of WordPress, Enfold template, Plug-Ins etc.
Thanks for help, DanielSeptember 10, 2015 at 1:38 pm #501008Hi Daniel,
Could you please provide us with a temporary admin login so that we can take a closer look? You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.
Best regards,

September 15, 2015 at 3:03 pm #503381Hi!
Hmm, not sure what’s going on there. I activated the default theme though and it’s doing the same there so it doesn’t feel like a theme issue. Also, if you visit the WordPress login page with an HTTPS URL you’ll see it does the same there.
Try creating a copy of your .htaccess file and then delete it from your server and refresh your permalinks in Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks to see what happens.
Also be sure all plugins are deactivated while testing and you clear your cache.
I found this which may help, https://managewp.com/wordpress-ssl-settings-and-how-to-resolve-mixed-content-warnings.
I would contact your hosting provider again and let them know it’s not a theme issue to see what they say. You can also post in the WordPress support forums, https://wordpress.org/support/. I have not installed an SSL certificate before so I’m not sure where the problem could be coming from.
Cheers!

January 18, 2016 at 8:59 am #567007Hi, I’m still trying with the ssl issue. I reduced the site to only one page using ssl and still get this strange output
Any ideas? Do you have some site with enfold theme, which works with ssl?

I didn’t found any mixed content when I visited the site. Did you fix it? If not, you can try this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-force-https/
