    Hi,
We needed to upgrade our enfold theme to make it compatible with other wordpress plug ins. I was unable to track down our original purchase of the Enfold theme, so we purchased a new license.

Quick question – Our current Theme Version Number is 3.0.4 I don’t have the purchase license from when that was installed, but have purchased a new one to move forward. Before I load the new installation, I just want to make sure the new license install will only append the theme settings and leave the content / customized css, etc in tact. Is there anything I should be aware of before loading the installation – any situation where content or custom settings may need to be re-done? I am concerned because I am loading a new license but really only needed an upgrade. I don’t want to be forced to start from scratch…..

    Thanks for your help –

    Hey rnd_fc,

There’s no guarantee that everything will be as is after the update since there has been a lot of changes between 3.0.4 and 4.2, I would suggest creating a stage site or a development version of the site where you can test first without affecting your live site. If you have added some Quick CSS or tweaks on the theme most of it should be working but since there are a lot of changes in the header, you might see some changes in that area. Theme Settings and content shouldn’t be affected but just to make sure a backup is suggested.

    Best regards,
    Nikko
