Our company website uses Word Press theme Enfold Child version 1.0.
We want to upgrade to Enfold Theme version 4.8.6.2 (we received email to say new Enfold version available)
Can you please advise if possible to upgrade Enfold Child 1.0 to Enfold 4.8.6.2?
Is Enfold Child the same as Enfold?
I want to know if this will cause problem for our website which is currently using Enfold Child 1.0?
Can you please advise if OK to upgrade theme?thank you

Hi Kevin,
Please refer to this: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/. We can’t say if you will have any problems with the update or not, so I would recommend that you update on a staging version of the site first.
A child theme is only used to override its parent, the parent theme will be updated, not the child.
